Great sound and durability I abuse electronics. I don't use headsets for talking to other bikes. I use them for bluetooth for Garmin and IPhone6s. I have done 600 miles offroad with this new G9x and I love it. It is plenty loud, even with earplugs. On the road I really like the mic operated volume control when speed increases. Really easy for using the FM radio controls and answering the phone. My phone and GPS connect to it seamlessly. I will probably buy another instead of reinstalling it on other helmets. Good purchase. QuQuality makes the difference. Pay attention during installation and all will be well. October 5, 2015
learning curve , one Scala kept falling off, connection very bad replaced new one - crackling sound not great We bought a pair together , after learning how to use it properly it was okay, but One of them never fit properly in its holder and kept loosing its connection , and also we had wrap an elastic around it so it would l=not fall off while we were driving , after it feel off twice. lucky we found it on the road . we had to replace this one in the middle of long road trip as there ended up being no connection , the new one we bought would for no good reason get very crackly that I could not comprehend what my husband was saying for 10 minutes or so and then return to normal . Mine never had any problems. I am not sure what is going on with the other one . August 24, 2015
Pretty good sound, clear calls, fit great on Icon airframe First time owner of one of these Bluetooth headsets. Got the scala cause my friend has one and my skullcandy snowboard helmet speakers crush my ears do to being too thick. So far its been great for the commute to work( I have yet to ride with him since purchase) Although it lacks bass tones, the sound is good enough for me. I'm excited to just have tunes. They have good clarity in the mid to upper range. Audiophiles may have a problem with the sound quality though. Definitely loud enough. Received a few phone calls, and my friends can't believe I'm on my bike. They say the sound clarity is great. Installation is pretty straight forward. You just have to anticipate where the wires will go, that's what took the most time. About 40min total including opening the package. (This kit will fit a lot of different helmets) The clamp works on my icon airframe helmet and the speakers are thin so your head doesn't get crushed. Overall, a great fit. I did have to tuck a few wires to get a clean install. Setting it up was easy. Learning all the functions is another story... It does a ton of stuff. Works great with the phone. Don't bother with the app though, just set it up on online when you register it. Oh, and if you like to rock out in your helmet, turn off the voice commands, I ended up going from phone to fm radio, to off, and then back to fm radio. You can setup your fm presets online after registration as said above. July 7, 2015
The best intercom system It has great features, excellent range and is not that hard to install. May 11, 2015
Great Communicator I use my Cardo primarily to blue tooth my GPS/IPhone/Ipod. It was easy to get everything to pair up. The buttons are a little hard to use with gloves on. The speakers work pretty well but I want to try a pair of ear buds. Over all this is a great product. May 4, 2015
Scala rider G9X Very Helpfull in a party, also easy to install and pairing with your accesories, there are vídeos on youtube that helps to understand all the functions of the scala rider g9x December 29, 2014
Very nice unit I had concerns that it would install on my Scorpion EXO 900, but to my surprise it did... Took about 45 min. The sound quality and volumn is good. The only complaint is that the control button are difficult with a gloved hand. It's great that the VOC works so well. When receiving calls, my girlfriend and daughter didn't realize that I was on the bike! December 1, 2014

Paul H: Check the Cardo website and post this question to them to get confirmation. But, I have purchased a replacement baseplate from Cardo before. So, for the cost of an additional baseplate (maybe $100?}, you could have a mount on more than one helmet and transfer the unit between helmets very easily. Apr 20, 2015

Christopher P: Nan

I'm doing the same thing. All you need to do is get a second G9x mount for your other helmet. Then you can just switch the base unit between both helmets.

gina s asked: Will this fit in the agv corsa wish you were here helmet? Apr 23, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Eyad T: Yes Gina it should. The unit comes with two mounting options: one resembles a clip that you tighten with a bolt, and the other uses double sided mounting tape in case there is no place for the clip to fit. The tape is very reliable and the mounting bracket itself can flex to be perfectly flat on the helmet's curved surface, so no need to worry. Apr 23, 2015

A shopper asked: I cannot listen to my music when I'm paired with other riders, some of whom are on the G9. Ideally the device should automatically fall back to my music channel, when there is no conversation on the intercom…as of now, i end up listening to road noise, background noise via other riders mics…is there a specific setting to enable this? A shopper asked: Does this fit the AGV AX-8 Dual Evo helmet? I have tried fitting one but seems that unless i physically modify the helmet it won't fit! The adhesive mount also doesn't seem to be an option due to the shape and design of the base of the helmet... Apr 27, 2015
