Bassani Road Rage Mega Power 2-Into-1 Exhaust System For Harley Dyna

The Mega-Power represents the culmination of Bassani's research and development for the better part of forty years. This exhaust was designed strictly to make big, big power. How? Equal length headers. Stepped head pipes. A hidden inner collector. These are features you are simply not going to find on another exhaust.

We at RevZilla had the good fortune to speak directly with Daryl Bassani about his intentions and target user for the Mega-Power system. Daryl designed this exhaust to offer the most to owners of bikes making under 120 horsepower. Typically, bikes without a bump in compression, camshaft(s), or significant head-work (or some combination of the three) are going to make power under that threshold. By taking an honest assessment of your bike's power, or the results of your last dyno run, you may find that selecting a Mega-Power exhaust will make a marked difference in your bike's performance as opposed to selecting 'too much pipe' for your bike.

The Mega-Power system does not utilize as many diameter steps as the B1 system, and as such, promotes better exhaust velocity on most street engines. Daryl also spent time going over the importance of the collector in this system. Effectively acting as a 'collector-within-a-collector', Bassani has drawn on their research to help each cylinder most efficiently help its mate through exhaust scavenging. Utilizing the same principles used in carb venturi development, Daryl and his team are able to manipulate the velocity of exhaust gases to tweak every last shred of oomph from your motorcycle.

The Mega-Power system is right for you if you don't have plans for massive engine modification. 'Streetable', mildly tuned engines will be perfect candidates for the Mega-Power Exhaust System.

Great pipe, great price.
I needed exhaust for my new FXDLS. After researching I chose Bassani. I had D&D on my last bike which is a very good pipe. Bassani is lighter, sounds great, and was easy to install. Plus RevZilla had a good price and very quick shipping.

This exhaust F-IN ROCKS
Put the road rage mega power 2-1 on my '16 Dyna low rider S. It was the first time I had installed an exhaust on a bike and it wasn't too bad. The install had a little guesswork because the instructions were for earlier model bikes but after it was all on, holy Shit. The initial startup was a facemelting difference from the stock setup( it was midnight so I'm sure the neighbors were good and pissed). The bike comes stock with a hi flow intake so I paired it with the Vance and Hines fp3, did a few auto tunes and the bike now sounds like the meanest thing on the road. Prob picked up 5 or so lbs of torque and the decel sounds like a growling pitbull on steroids. I highly recommend this for your Harley. Put a little more rumble under those nuts!

has a very good rep, It makes sense to me that if both pipes are the same length, most power and even combustion will happen

Will these fit on a 2014 street bob 103ci with forward controls?
A shopper on Aug 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: of course it will
does this actually fit on a 2014-16 Low Rider with the further forward mid controls?
A shopper on Feb 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the exhaust will fit.. It fits bikes with forward and mid controls.. Also, if your ever looking for the stainless look the Road Rage 3 is out..
Hi i just ordered this pipe and im wondering if i need to purchase also O2 sensor adaper (18 mm to 12 mm) or does it comes with it?
Thank you
Mattia D on Oct 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It will come with the kit, I have a 2014 FXDB and it came with everything I needed.
Can I install this myself or do I need to take it to a shop?
A shopper on Sep 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: You can install yourself. Just read directions. Only took me about hour or so.
Will I have to buy a tuner, or have my map changed after installation?
A shopper on May 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: DISCLAIMER: I am not a mechanic or am even mechanically inclined. I did install mine on my own, however. Yes and no. So the way it was explained to me is that if you don't tune or remap your motorcycle, the exhaust will still work, it just won't work like it's supposed to. You may even get a decline in performance because the computer has the motorcycle breathing a certain way and mixing fuel in a way that is not optimal, not knowing that it needs to adapt to the exhaust. If you buy a tuner or remap, your ride will run in optimal conditions as far as fuel mixture, exhaust, and air intake go. I installed the exhaust by myself in about two hours (see disclaimer). I purchased the V&H FP3 which took about 10 minutes to install (including reading the directions). I effing love it! It looks and sounds like a beast. It runs like a finely calibrated machine. Get the tuner.
Interested in the Road Rage Mega Power ground clearance I have a 2004 Dyna Defender sits pretty high but in the pictures it looks like the system is below the frame I like to lay it over in the corners is it going to scrape?
A shopper on Sep 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I had this exhaust on a 2014 Dyna Street Bob and found that it would hit about the same time as the foot pegs. Going from a stock exhaust to this was a huge improvement.
Does anyone know the difference in sound between the Bassani Road Rage 1D12R and the longer 1D18R ?
A shopper on Jul 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The shorter road rage is a slight bit louder because of the length, not enough to make a difference. More about apperance or prefference. Either way you wont be disappointed, when you twist it everyone within 2 blocks knows it, and the hp and torque gains on the seat of pants dyno are a real plus.
I have a 2014 street bob fxdb I love the sound of the bassani road rage. Just wondering which would be better and what are differences between road rage mega power and the road rage B-1?
A shopper on Oct 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have a 14 fxdb also with the road rage and an air cleaner and it works perfect. I cant be more pleased with it. From what Revzilla and Bassani say, the B1 exhaust is only better for you if you have a lot of things done to the engine. Bassani says if you don't have a lot of motor work, then the B1 could actually hurt your performance. Stay with the road rage.
Does this pipe feature a removable baffle?
Jordan M on Jun 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am not 100 percent sure? But I think that that it doesn't. I know that the end of the muffler where the baffle is located is the slip on part to the head pipes. So there is a possibility I didn't really look to closely at that when I installed them and didn't see anything in the instructions that where given with the pipes about it. May I ask why?
I have an 2016 FXDB. Do i need and O2 sensors or anything. I saw online I may need to replace the existing ones?
Jason J on Mar 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Your bike has 12mm O2 sensors. The pipe has 18mm O2 bungs but comes with screw in adaptors to allow your OEM sensors to fit. Buy gaskets to mate the pipe to the head. Do not reuse your old gaskets. Furthermore, there are two types of gaskets that will fit your exhaust port. One is a flat woven type and the other is a dish type that comes stock on the 2016. Contact Bassani to verify which of the two types of gaskets they want you to use. You will want the new gaskets at hand when your pipe arrives.
