I own an Arai SZ/a that is obviously more than a few years old. It is a size Medium. Over the weekend the top of the liner disintegrated. Yeah, it has been brutally hot in TX this summer. I am considering buying the new Arai XC. Does the Medium size between this newest version and the older version of this open face correlate? Incidentally, in a full face helmet, I feel more comfortable in a Large size, whether it is Arai Quantum or Shoei RF1100. I have both.

Typically, open face helmets have a round or neutral round shape. We would suggest ordering the same size of the Arai XC as your previous Arai SZ/A.

Generally speaking, 3/4 helmets tend to be very round. However, we find that the Arai XC Helmet is narrower than typical 3/4 helmets.
