Extremely Noisy Helmet
I've got a big head and tried this out because it was available in 3XL. I think that the features and comfort of the helmet are all quite good but I cannot tolerate the noise level level due to wind turbulence.
Another issue that I had was that all of the helmets weight seems to sit right on top of my eyebrows. No idea what might cause this but it was noticeable.
Unfortunately my wife thew away the helmet box so I'm stuck with it.

Killer looking helmet, killer deal, unreal comfort!
This is an amazing helmet. Previously, I had an extremely light but extremely loose fitting and loud Suomy. The Arai is such a step up in fit, comfort, style and general quality of build it blows my mind. I ended up having to buy thicker cheek pads, but that's the fault of my weird-shaped head, not the helmet. When I first got it, I was concerned with the amount of noise, considering the reviews touted it as one of the quietest helmets around. I then remembered that it also said that it is a strictly upright position, half-tuck naked bike helmet. So when I picked my chin up and I was facing forward, all of a sudden it was eerily quiet. Like almost NO wind noise at all. I'm truly impressed with the helmet. Not to mention that, if you've owned an Arai you already know, it Is like wearing a down pillow on your head. Okay, maybe that's an egsageration, but it's by far the most comfortable helmet I've owned. My only complaint is that there was a bit of wind that comes in from the chin area. I bought a chin piece (I forget the actual name) from Arai and it took care of it. It probably should have come with it. Small complaint really. Great helmet, highly recommended.

After 5 years of my EXO-750 I was ready for a new helmet. I really wanted a nice one and started looking at Shoei and Schuberth. I saw Arai up there in price with the other two brands, took me a few weeks of research but in the end I went with the best savings to safety ratio. When the Diamond white arrived I was very happy to see it is just like my bike Pearl White. The helmet was light and has the pinlock inside the box as well as some stickers, oil and a cd ( I guess that shows you the features) The soft cover is a sold blue with white lettering (Arai). I had my wife measure my head and I came in at a 55 1/2 cm which to her looked like 54 cm LOL. So I made my Extra Small purchased and saved close to $200 from the other sized helmets. (I'm guessing because they had XS in closeout) Well, I was sure it wasn't going to fit but just to make sure I tried it on. It was snug, but fit my head in all spots. To be certain I got the right size I went down the road to a dealer and tried a small. The Extra Small was the best fit. It has now been two weeks and I just realized this mornings 3 hour ride I didn't have anymore pressure. The windshield is super clear and extra wide view. I have to work at seeing the sides of the shield. On to my thoughts of the ride. I ride a Vulcan 900 classic LT and keep the windshield off. My EXO-750 was a major pain riding like this to the point I did not want to wear it. I was perfect in a certain position and that was that. Any other direction or angle and the wind took control. The worst was looking to my sides to check the lane I wanted to move into. Anything over 50 and the helmet would become a brick on your head. I also never knew if my air vents were open. With the Defiant you know when a vent is opened and which vent you have open. I haven't felt a big difference with the chin cover yet, maybe that'll be more apparent in winter. Most of all I can actually look all around with no wind catching my head. I think that is the most impressive thing. I'm doing the speed limit of 85mph and checking left to pass a vehicle and it is almost as if I'm in my truck looking left. Thankfully I have yet to test it's crash abilities and I hope to never type that review out, but if in a crash I hope it does it's job so I can type that review out. LOL But I do surely feel safer than my old helmet. That could be a mental thing. All in all, I'm buying my wife any Arai she wants and I'm sure I'll be a return customer.

My very first Arai
This is my very first high-end helmet which I bought due to the fact that it is suggested as Arai's naked-sport bike helmet
Just like any Arai the built-quality is top notch and fits my round head comfortably, the visor offers plenty of view, the Mimetic paint scheme was not my favorite but receives plenty of compliments, ventilation of this helmet is one of the best particularly its mouth vent and if only the top vents work as good as the Corsair V this helmet will be the best vented helmet ever, aerodynamically speaking the R75 shape may not be the smoothest but in terms of protection I do believe that the rounder is better
Several gripes regarding this helmet includes the chin curtain which is too short and offers no wind protection from beneath, the back end of the helmet constantly rub against my riding jacket which is a big hassle especially during long rides as it create neck fatigue.
However my biggest gripe is the Proshade system, when positioned upward it creates head-shake during high speed and it blocks the brow vents, the dark visor should be longer especially on the side, and the dark visor' bottom end scratches the clear visor. Absolutely worthless!

Good but not great
Helmet is noisy and doesn't cover the entire chin. Comfort is good and protection I can't say as I haven't had to use that. But from what i read its great protection. It also leaves a slight mark on my right chin not sure if the padding is un-even.
This is a good helmet but for the price I think one can do better. I will certainly look for something quieter, and lighter in future.
The quality of materials is good and construction is solid.

This is the first "Premium" helmet I've owned.
The fit is perfect for my head shape, it's comfortable, durable, and truly a premium product.
The vents and face shield mechanisms are rugged and well built, very unlikely to break under heavy / frequent use.
I really like ARAI's system for removing the face shield as well, it can take a little practice, but RevZilla has a video for that. :)
I highly recommend buying a tinted face shield, really gives the helmet an aggressive look. Only thing I don't like is the noise, it's louder than other helmets I've owned.
Pros: Fit, Comfort, Durability, Quality, Style
Cons: Loud, very loud.
I'll only buy ARAI from now on, and I'd recommend this product to anyone.

Love this helmet
Having owned 4 other Arais over the years, this is another winner. Extraordinary fit for my intermediate oval head. 1 year and almost 9K miles, this is my new favorite helmet. Flows air like nobody's business. Great chin vent in particular. Visor secures 100% waterproof, no leaks in several heavy rain rides. Pinlock being included was a nice perk and helps keep fogging to a minimum. Awesome 5 star helmet.
Wish Arai offered a photochromatic visor.
