Excellent jacket for the money
I have worn this jacket for a few months while commuting in the South Carolina "winter" on my Shadow 750. This means temps in the 40s and 50s, for which this jacket is ideal. It does a fantastic job of blocking the wind and keeping you warm. I especially like the high collar which zips up snug around your neck. Pockets and features and whatnot are normal for this style jacket and overall construction seems to be high quality. I am 5'9", 165 lbs and a large fits me well with enough extra room for a sweater.
Negatives:
-It is not cut perfectly for a motorcycle riding position, so the front bunches some. This is pretty minor and I suspect that it is designed that way for off-bike wear.
- It is black so it will heat up quick in the sun and is of no use to improving visibility.

Great protection, great design
When I first got this jacket, I was impressed with the styling. It looks great as a go-anywhere jacket. Even if I'm not riding, I've started wearing this jacket just because it's a good looking jacket. I've only owned it in cold-weather so far, and I have ridden it in the rain once. Wearing this jacket in the cold is very nice, it blocks all the wind and the cold. I have to double up on layers for my pants because my legs start going numb but my entire upper body as well as neck are totally warm. In the rain, other than my jeans and shoes, which are completely miserably soaked, my body is totally dry. Very waterproof!!
As to the armor and protection. I've laid down twice in the jacket and both times, been completely fine. The first time, my bike skidded out from a patch of gravel at probably 20 mph and I felt fine. The second time, making a long turn at about 50, a little ricer coming the other way took the turn way too fast and was in the middle of my lane. I was forced to swerve left and brake hard to not go into the forest and my bike ended up throwing me over the handlebars and rolling over me. I got up 100% ok with not a single bruise, with the wind hardly knocked out of me.
After both of these incidents, the jacket still looks brand new with no marking on the fabric. I will never buy a jacket that is not alpine stars again because I am so impressed with how well this protected me.

Stylish yet subtle jacket.
Good looking jacket. Feels sturdy and well built. The armor is unobtrusive but reassuring. Bought the bio plate for the back as well. A lil snug even going a size larger may not be enough. XXL is trim on me. 6'2" 215lbs

Minimal logos, plain, not flashy, well made
I'm super happy with this jacket. I use my bike for commuting, so I'm not buying a jacket I can't wear socially as well. This one does the trick--you can't even really notice the shoulder pads, for example, which is where a lot of jackets look ridiculous.
The fabric has a dark, neutral quality--could easily be a regular rain jacket (only a hint of sheen) except for the short cut.
It IS cut short, which is comfortable on the bike. My shirts stick out the bottom sometimes, which looks a little weird, but you can tuck them in while riding or something if that bothers you.
Lastly, I think this jacket runs fairly small. I'm not a big guy (5'11, 165) and ordinarily wear mediums of everything. The guy on the phone from RevZilla (it's true, their service is legendary, and from what I've seen so far they deserve the reputation) told me to get a large anyway if I was planning to layer. I was skeptical, and expected to have to return it, but lo and behold, it's not the slightest bit too big. Fair amount of space in the chest and belly area, but length of arms and body of jacket really couldn't be an inch shorter. Factor this in and don't be afraid to go a size big if you're slender and planning to layer under the jacket.

runs a size small
Runs a tad on the small side compared to.other alpinestars jackets. Its a great jacket none the less. Blocks all wind in the winter.

5 stars for Alpinestars
waterproof.. warm.. bought it for riding primarily in the fall / spring and bits of winter (when it isn't too cold).. like the fact that it isn't too flashy and gets the job done as described..

Great cold weather jacket
Finally decided to order this jacket after previously putting away the bike when it started getting colder out. The Verona WP is an amazing cold weather jacket so far. I've taken it out a few days in the low 40's to mid 50's and my entire upper body was as comfortable as being in an office.
Style-wise it is also great, the people I've met up with couldn't even tell I was wearing a motorcycle jacket and were shocked that it had protection.
Sizing was a little weird, I wear XL for virtually everything, but had to go up to 3XL here. Wasn't really an issue as I had measured and ordered according to the sizing guide.
Overall I'm very impressed and I'll be looking at more Alpinestars gear in the near future.
