Alpinestars Stella T-GP Plus R Air Jacket
Great breathable mesh jacket
I'm a beginner rider and thought I'd start with a durable mesh jacket that's breathable in the hot summer days, before getting a leather one for the late fall/early winter months when hopefully I'll be riding faster and needing more protection.
I'm 5'3, 120lb, athletic/broad shoulders/long torso, xs or 0 in street clothes. I felt the XS (or 38, I think) fit very well in shoulders/arms/chest but was loose in the waist and also somewhat short (picture). Not sure if it's just me with my long torso, but I ended up picking the S (40) for a little more back/belly coverage.
Liner is nice, inner breast pockets very handy. Haven't tested the durability yet as I haven't had any accidents yet, but it has the alpinestars name so I'm going to assume it's reliable quality!

Really nice airflow
I ordered this jacket at around 11am on a Tuesday and it arrived the very next day, which was great. For reference, I am 5'3" 133 lbs. and the small fit great.
Took the jacket out for two rides yesterday. One where the temperature was about 85 degrees and the second where it was in the 70's as the sun went down. Both times the jacket flowed air really well and I felt very cool once I got going. I had to wait a bit for my riding partner's bike to warm up (during the first ride when it was warmer) and I was definitely sweating during this time, but as soon as we headed out, I was immediately cool.
My only complaints about the jacket are the neck line and the length of the jacket. I have found the neck line to be pretty irritating against my skin and found myself fiddling with it a bit. I ended up zipping down the jacket a small amount to try to keep it from touching my skin, which isn't ideal. As for the length of the jacket, I just wish it was just a tad longer. When I'm wearing my high waisted riding pants, the length is good because the pants are so high, but when I opt for other pant options, the jacket seems to be a bit short.
The arms, however, are a great length, cover the cuff of my gloves just enough and feels like a perfect fit. The armor in the shoulders and forearm sit comfortably, and the foam padding in the back is nice to have, but like others have said, I see myself swapping this out for some higher grade armor.
Overall, I'm quite happy with the jacket. The red jacket doesn't match my blue bike a single bit, but the styling was so nice that I had to buy it!

Excellent for summer
Love this textile. As summers get super hot here, protection is still a must. I also put in the dainese back protector.
I'm 5'2, 130# athletic build, 34B and a small fits me perfect. Slightly big, but I'm not expecting it to be skin hugging.
This has a very nice air flow while riding, but I still sweat lots when I'm waiting at a light. :(
I wish they make other colors instead of pink, even though I'm a female, it should be known that not all females like pink. Yuck. So I went for white/black.

Perfect for Summer
This jacket changed my outlook on summer riding. If you have never worn a mesh jacket, you need to. This jacket has amazing air flow and is so dang comfortable. I am 5'6", 150 lbs, usually wear a 6/Small Women's and bought a large. Though I probable could have gone down to a medium. This jacket holds up better than most mesh jackets in a crash. The armor and heavier textile are placed in just the right locations.

Great for hot weather
I wear this jacket almost every time I ride. In the heat I wear it with a short-sleeve top underneath and the mesh keeps me incredibly cool. I bought the red/white jacket so the light colors really help with the heat.
I will say though, when I leave in the morning sometimes in 50F degree weather, even with a thick hoodie underneath I get pretty cold especially in my bicep area from the mesh. It's slightly uncomfortable but I think worth mentioning. I'd definitely recommend this as a summer weather jacket but in fall weather it starts to get a little too chilly for me.

I've been collecting gear before I purchase a bike and at first I bought AGV and it looked so boxy and unflattering. I've returned the AGV and purchased this jacket instead, and it looks amazing and the red is SO vibrant and beautiful. I ordered XS and I am a 32-24-36 and regularly wear XS. The Jacket has a bit of room, but still a great fit. It is a little short in length though. I will be purchasing an armor to replace the foam back pad, as well... while I putt-putt around a parking lot.

Excelelnt all around summer riding jacket
This jacket is extremely light weight, cool, and comfortable. Perfect for hot summer days.
Function and Safety: I know this is meant to be a light summer jacket, and that mesh and textile will never hold up like leather in a crash. But the armor is also lighter than what I have in my leather Alpinestars jacket, and I may see about swapping it for another set. At least the armor is sized and fitted well for women. The back pad is nothing more than a thin sheet of foam, so that could definitely use an upgrade.
I was hoping for some more reflective elements on the outside of the jacket. My leather jacket has substantial reflective logos across the back and on the forearms. This jacket has teensy reflective strips along the collarbones and upper back. These are pretty much the exact spots that will be covered by my hair or backpack straps. I guess I'll see about a reflective vest for nighttime riding.
The jacket has a zipper to attach to pants (I haven't tried them with my Rev'It pants yet, but the size may be proprietary to Alpinestars). Inside there are several pockets held shut with velcro, and one waterproof pocket with a zipper. This is a genius idea and a really pleasant surprise. The outside of the jacket has two zippered pockets as well.
Fit: I originally bought size XS, as that's my usual clothing size (5'3" 115lbs, 34-25-35) and the right fit according to the Alpinestars size chart. While the jacket fit everywhere else, the shoulders were very narrow and the shoulder armor was pulling up and sitting incorrectly. I returned that jacket and got the size S instead. The shoulders are a perfect fit, and while the arms and torso are a bit looser, it's probably a better size for me since I can wear a thin hoodie and shell underneath when it gets cooler. The velcro adjusters on the sleeve cuffs and on each side of the hips helps customize the fit.
Comfort: This jacket is soooo comfortable. It feels like nothing when I'm on my bike, like I'm just wearing a soft, comfy sweatshirt.
Appearance: This is a great looking jacket. I got the black/white version. It's sporty looking without being obnoxious. And thank you Alpinestars for putting regular logos on this instead of girly script, and leaving off the floral designs and accents. The only indication that it's a women's jacket is the series of small "stella" logos hidden on the inside of the zipper.
Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it!

Great jacket! Super comfortable!
Absolutely my favorite go-to jacket. I've worn it for 68-95 degrees weather and it has served me well. It was a bit chilly between 68-72 while on the freeway but was perfect on the streets. Above 72, I didn't get hot or sweaty, the air ventilation is perfect. The cut is flattering (if you watch the revzilla video it looks boxy, but it's not in real life) as well as comfortable. I have full movement in these, I love the stretchy panels on the back at the arm cuffs. I'm 5'7 135lbs and a 34DD. I usually have trouble with finding jackets that fit me properly (waist to chest ratio), I thought about ordering a large because of my chest, but ended up gambling on a medium. So glad I did! It fits perfectly with a sports bra, but just a bit snug with a regular bra, but still manageable.construction feels sturdy and the armor is nice, I added a back protector though, as I would with any jacket I buy. The only thing that I think would make this jacket better is a thin zip out liner, for this price. It would make the transition to night riding a bit easier.
