Over all nice gloves Nice gloves...the only problem I have is the small finger has some guard on it that really bothers my finger on the left hand only...I have tried everything to make it comfortable...but nothing has worked...It is OK for an hour or so anything more than that I have to remove the glove to give my finger a break September 22, 2014
good, but not great This is my second pair of A-stars gloves and i dont know if i will be going back to them. the only reason i bought them is i got them on closeout for about $50. In my opinion they are not worth spending more than that. Biggest complaint is that after 1 month the stiching is starting to fray. Other issue is there is no wrist strap to hold the glove tight to your hand, only the forearm strap. I worry most about the long term durability of these. But brand new they are very comfy and warm. Great gloves I wanted some gauntlet gloves with a bit of protection over the knuckles. I made sure to order a size larger than I normally do, as Aplinestar gloves run pretty small. These gloves are comfy, and have decent enough airflow for temps hitting the 80s. No complaints really. Just solid, affordable gloves that feel like they would provide protection if I needed it. Great gloves for Track day use The gloves fit well, and gave me the flexibility for active use, but I would suggest wearing them for a while to stretch out to fit well, also the Velcro clasp at wrist is not big enough and tends to open while ridding hard. But great gloves for cost. June 17, 2014
Stay comfortable and protected! I got the original SP-2 when it came out, i had them for about 2 years, and in a tragic sudden downpour, they were soaked, inside and out. I did all i could but they were laid to rest, and thanked for their service. I looked high and low for a glove that could be better, sharper control and more comfort, but nothing could compare. So i decided, if it isnt broke, dont fix it. I grabbed another pair, and now after another year of great service they are the best gloves ive had. The level of control is amazing, the suede in the palm makes you like spiderman to your grips, and the exposed carbon looks sweet too. Entrust that you will love these gloves, all day, everyday. Great protection at a great price I needed a glove to better protect my hands than my short cuff gloves so I bought these. Price was phenomenal for what I'm getting. The gloves needed to break in but once it is broken in, it fits fine. I do wish that it had an additional strap for my wrists. As far as feel goes, it is more difficult to feel my grip and controls since it is a thicker glove than my short cuff mesh gloves but overall, it's a great glove for a great price. June 2, 2014
Excellent Gloves I purchased these gloves for daily wear/commuting and touring. My reasons for purchasing these gloves were (in no particular order): Protection, comfort, style, and value. Comfort: I have worn the gloves in temperatures varying from 40 – 85 degrees Fahrenheit and they are extremely comfortable. Starting at about 80 degrees Fahrenheit my hands get a little bit warm, but I do have a set of hand guards on my motorcycle that reduce air flow. Below 45 degrees Fahrenheit, I switch to my cold weather gloves. Sizing: I purchased size medium since I normally wear numeric size 9-10, depending upon the manufacturer. The gloves were a bit tight initially, but broke in easily with regular wear and now fit perfectly. I would recommend these gloves. June 1, 2014
Great street gloves These gloves are really nice. I was looking for something for the street, and these were what I decided on. They offer great protection while still offering good airflow and are lightweight. Unlike many on here, I found the sizing right on. I normally wear a XL and the XL fit perfect. I'd buy another pair. Nicolas C: I love these gloves. I get superb protection for the type of riding I do (commuting, touring, occasional canyon runs). Crashed in them once on the freeway at ~45 mph and they held up well. Bought a second pair and thinking about buying a third. Excellent bang for the buck! Mar 20, 2014

From personal experience, I know their product to have a good quality craftsmanship, and be based on well-thought-out functional design. Having been thoroughly satisfied in car driving, I would love to see how they fare in motorcycle riding. The fact they were on Close-out sale, as well as the high review ratings closed the deal on this purchase Nov 15, 2013

Jarred T: Comfort, style and they fitted nicely when I tried them on in a different store. Aug 31, 2013
Eric B: Spoke with Miles in the customer service dept at Revzilla and told him that I was trying to find gloves for Wilt Chamberlain hands. He then informed me that his co-worker also had freakishly long/skinny fingers, and that the new Alpinestars line were made longer than others. Hopefully they fit me well when they get here, but if not I'm glad Rev offers free exchanges. Woot! Aug 30, 2013
A shopper asked: around fall/ early winter in North Cal/ South bay? Oct 25, 2012

RevZilla: The Alpinestars SP-2 Gloves are not designed for winter riding, but for spring/summer weather conditions due to their perforation and thin leather construction. For colder weather conditions, we would recommend the Alpinestars Apex Drystar, or the Alpinestars Arctic Drystar. Oct 25, 2012

RicMc: It's not a warm glove. Once it's broken in you'll feel like you have nothing on at all. You really feel the bike in your hand and I like that personally. If your going on really long cold rides grab another glove. Save this for the nice days. Jan 14, 2013

Biohazerd: My hands get cold quite easily and I ride around with these in temperatures as low as 50F without issues. Any cooler than that and I really start to notice my hands getting cold. May 14, 2013

RevZilla: Yes, the high-vis glove featured in the video is the same as the Black/White/Yellow color option. Simply a matter of semantics. Apr 30, 2012

A shopper asked: I'm having a tough time choosing between the SP-8 and SP-2 gloves. Their descriptions and features seem very similar. What are the noteworthy differences? Sep 4, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
kerry t: The only noteworthy difference is the use of goat skin leather in the palm area. I can't comment on the fit or riding style the SP-8 was geared for. I did notice the perforated leather along the knuckle area on the SP-2, which makes it more geared for summer riding.
As far as protection level they both seem to be pretty even. Both gloves seem to fit into the aggressive street riding and occasional track rider group.

Robert C: These are good gloves and I am enjoying them. I wish they had a bit more ventilation is all. Kinda gets sweaty sometimes in really hot weather. I don't know what differences are between SP2 and SP8s are. Sep 25, 2013
