Second pair Fit is small as others have stated. I use these for dual sport and dirt bike riding, they're a good compromise between flexibly and protection. If I were on pavement more I'd want more protection. My first pair lasted a season + before the fingertips wore through. I think they offer much more protection than MX style gloves and cost about twice as much. A good value for my kind of riding. March 17, 2014
Great glove for $50ish Glove fits a little small. I have large hands, but I needed the 3XL and they fit snug. Gloves look nice, have ample protection, aren't too hot in the middle of summer and hold up pretty well. This is my second pair of these gloves. For the money, you won't find a nicer name-brand glove. My only issue is the pull loop at the wrist that helps pull the glove on tears a little too easily. Even then, you can still get the gloves on. Great product and I will buy a third pair when I wear these out!!! January 20, 2014
Great Gloves! I love these gloves so much that I bought 2 pairs! Best gloves I ever tried and true to size. One thing to keep in mind is that the leather has small vent holes, so they are not very warm in the winter. To make them all-season gloves I simply bought cheap "silk glove liners" that I wear inside these Alpine Stars gloves when temp drop below 40 degrees F. January 5, 2014
great bang for your buck Really enjoy these gloves. Nice price. Fit is true to size. Only beef is air flow on top of hand. The very top is perforated leather so keep that in mind. Two tires up!! December 24, 2013
Pretty satisfied Was looking at this glove for a while (hoping it would go on sale haha) reading up on reviews and what not. I usually wear a medium but every review I read about this glove said to go up a size so I did. Ended up fitting slightly large but still very comfortable nonetheless so that's why I gave it 4 stars. Overall, I'm glad I got these gloves. Very comfortable and the finish is pretty good. No complaints other than fitting just slightly large. As always, super fast shipping from revzilla. Thank you!! Don't go down in these... Okay, they look great! They fit tight, but I kinda like that. Slim, responsive, etc. However, I went down at >15, and they got TORN UP. Knuckles went right through, palm tore to nothing (thought the kevlar stopped it). Anyways, my hands survived, but I expect more from A-stars. Would't recommend these, even though I still wear them for sport riding in the summer, and am on the lookout for a pair that fit as well as these did! November 15, 2013
Alright for the price looks bulky. and it fits loose around the palm area November 4, 2013
Great Fit & Comfortable I went through several different glove & size combinations before finally settling on these. The SMX-2 Air Carbons just never felt right (Medium was too big, while Small made my hands numb after about 5 minutes). They fit exactly as expected and provide good airflow. They could probably stand to have a bit more protection, and a couple of the fingertips are getting a bit frayed from working the velcro, but I'm still happy with them. They seem to be pretty comfortable right down to about 50F, but any cooler and the airflow REALLY works against you. October 25, 2013

A shopper asked: I measured my hand at 3 1/2 inches. The size chart says this is a Medium. However, the video talks about the gloves running "bigger." Should I follow the size chart and get a M or do a L? Apr 10, 2012

Cereal: You probably need to go BIGGER than the size chart says. I was measured in the small range and that was significantly off. I now have a Medium. I even have short fingers! Also, they've gotta fit so that the carbon piece is entirely on your backhard not vainly trying to curve around your knuckles because it's too short. Jun 25, 2012

Drew D: My hand measurements put me in a medium. Whenever I have bought leather gloves for everyday winter use I have bought mediums. These gloves fit true to size for me. I would say my finger length is average to a little below average. Apr 14, 2012

Epiphone77: These gloves definitely do not run bigger but actually smaller than most gloves. If you normally wear a L than I would recommend ordering an XL. The material used in these gloves also does not breakin much so fit is important. May 20, 2012

Nikace: Go large, I think you'd regret it otherwise.
We have the same width in hand, I tried both sizes and wend with the large, you'll see, it still will be snug.

RevZilla: According to your measurements, you should follow the size chart as you fall right in the size range. The Medium would be the appropriate size. Apr 12, 2012

Figrin: You'll want a size larger than normal, so if the chart says go with an M, you should go with at least an L. May 28, 2013

A shopper asked: Does the glove feel thicker and/or scratchy on the inside as a result of the kevlar?
How is the air flow, we talking an all season or summer only glove?
Thanks

Nikace: The inside is slightly thicker, but there is no Kevlar in the fingers, so it wont compromise the ability to use them. The Kevlar is not itchy at all, just feels like normal cotton or polyester.
It's a pretty well vented glove, I'd say more a three season glove, or a "summer plus".
There are more vented gloves out there, but I don't think I'll have any problem with heat in these gloves in the summer, as for the cold, I'd at least put a liner under 10? Celsius.

thehomealien: No, you cannot feel the Kevlar from the inside of the glove. It is sandwiched between the leather palm and the outer riveted patch. The inside palm is one piece of plain Kangaroo leather and the inside back is soft textile.

Air flow is, well, what you would expect from a full leather glove. It's fine. I wear them all summer in Central Illinois.

Epiphone77: There is thick stitching on the inside of these gloves but I personally did not experience any discomfort due to them. As a matter of fact while gripping your bars you will probably not even notice them. These gloves do breathe quite well but they are not completely mesh so they will definitely handle slightly cooler days. May 20, 2012

cheetahBLASTER: Feels thicker than the normal glove - which may or not be a problem depending on how you feel about extra material rippled between your palm and your grips. Mar 22, 2012

Drew D: Ton of air flow. The Palm is not scratchy but the hem on the tip of the thumb is a bit big and can be annoying depending on your thumb length. Sep 14, 2013

SB35: My gloves a little small for me, and I find them a little scratchy - especially around the knuckle area. Jun 25, 2012

EasyE72: The glove is very comfortable. I haven't been bothered by the material or stitching one bit. Mar 23, 2013
