OMG, are they comfortable! I bought these boots looking for something general purpose. I am not disappointed! Though they are a little stiff for shifting gears, they are very comfortable when walking around the office or the grocery store. They have kept my feet warm when riding in the mid-40's since the leather does not breathe. I probably would not wear them during the hot season in Florida for the same reason. They are also a good balance between functional riding boots & something that can pass casual office attire. November 3, 2014
Very good quality. This is my second pair of A-star waterproof boots. I chose them because of the known size I would need and the fit is perfect. They are going to take a little break in time but so far they are exactly as I expected. Full waterproof so they are a little hot in warm weather. Traction is good for a touring boot. Followed info from Revzilla on fitting - Fit Great!. Appears to be a very good boot. Comfortable on bike and getting better as they break in. Very comfortable to walk in. The only reason I did not rank them higher is because the limited time does not allow me to really evaluate durability. Have every reason to believe that they will prove to be excellent. Air flow is not a feature of these boots so while not rated high it is not an issue. Read the website suggestions for sizing, it saved me a return. August 26, 2014
Great boots I have been using this boots for over two months and ridden over 2000 miles and they are really great! love the style and comfort. They are not even showing any sign of wear/tear, that means durability . August 18, 2014
Very comfortable, easy on and off. I love these boots. I just road a 1000 miles in 4 days and they were comfortable all day long. Fits well under regular jeans, easy on and off with the velcro. No problem walking around in them for a while after a long day of riding. A good balance between support/protection and comfort. July 7, 2014
Nice boots even for guys on a Harley... I purchased the lower version of this boot last year and saw the higher pair on sale so I decided to snap them up while I can. While the boots may appear to be stiff out of the box, after a couple of wearings the leather becomes quite comfortable and the hard rubber sole becomes soft enough to wear around all day. While the boots are lined, you may have warm feet but with the easy on and off velcro closures you can take these off and back on in no time so that you can cool your feet off. They are light weight and smart looking enough that you can wear them with a pair of jeans on casual Fridays at work which is what I plan to do. I appreciate the workmanship and quality of these boots but most of all like the added shin protection provided by the higher shaft of the boot. Get a pair while you can. You won't regret it... even for us guys on a Harley. July 2, 2014
Good boots but these sizes are crazy I don't know what's up with the size chart on these boots. People are saying they run small, so I ordered a size up. The size chart states that EUR size 44 = US size 11. I wear US 10, so that's what I ordered. What I received is a boot that says "EUR 44, US 9.5" ... Not US 11 like I was expecting. Um, ok. Very tight on me but not so tight I couldn't ride. I had my fiancee try them on and they fit her so I figured I would order a bigger pair and keep both. Size chart says EUR 46 = US 12.5. Except what I received is a boot that says "EUR 46, US 11.5" ... Um excuse me? That's quite a jump from 9.5. Let me explain that what I feel on my actual foot is NOT a full two-size increase in the boot. So whoever is making these boots does not know how to label the sizes. Not only is the size chart on the site wrong, the sizes on the actual boots are not consistent. I uploaded a photo of the two tags to show what I'm talking about. Other than that issue, I would love to see better shin protection, but for an inexpensive boot these seem like a great start. I think they need to be broken in as they are somewhat stiff. Also keep in mind the shin area is wide to allow for tucking in your pant leg. June 25, 2014
Comfortable, Durable, Great Boots! I wanted a pair of new boots for replacement purposes. These fit the bill really well. I was hesitant at first, but when I first put them on I knew these were going to be great. I have been riding with them for 3 months now and am just as pleased. I put on my old boots again the other day to ride and had to take them right back off and put the new ones back on. They are worth the money! Do it! Go! October 11, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Douglas M: I chose these boots so that I could have dry feet. Oct 11, 2014
Curtis D: My Firstgear boots that I have worn for a year and a half have finally worn out to the point where I NEED a new pair. I wore them just about every day, regardless of if I rode my bike or not. However, they were perforated leather and I almost froze last winter in them. With colder weather coming I chose these boots based on the price I was willing to spend and the reviews. Sep 24, 2014

Erich P: My 5-year-old Alpinestars boots have been GREAT but they are worn and cracking and leaking in the rain now - time to retire them and get another pair of these very comfortable boots. Jan 21, 2014
Erich P: Have had a pair of the shorter version (Ridge WP) and they are a GREAT boot, but shifter area on left boot developed a crack after 4 years and 40K miles. Otherwise excellent fit, comfort and features for a year-round 4-season boot. Going with the taller version for the shin protection and reinforced shifter area. Dec 21, 2013
Brian G: My feet get wet..not anymore.. Oct 6, 2013
Thomas R: love the fit of Alpinestar boots Aug 24, 2013
A shopper asked: How is the sizing of these boots. Are they true to size? I normally take a 8.5 or 8 depending on the manufacture. The Roam only comes in 8 or 9.

Brian P: I found there sizing to be small by a half size. I pretty much wear an 11 in every shoe I wear and I ended up in 10.5 in these. Nov 5, 2014

Anuranjan P asked: How narrow is the ankle portion? I need something that sits snug as m ankles are pretty thin. Most boots seem to have a looser fit because of that. Jun 20, 2014

Robert C: It has a three way adjustment so you'll be able to adjust them, but just to a point. The way to know is to try them on. I have average ankles and large calves and I adjust them almost all the way.. Jun 21, 2014
