Sleek, simple, versatile Very versatile with an excellent inner liner to make it a decent cold weather and warm weather jacket (plus it's waterproof for wet days!). I live in the bay area but commute during the early mornings so incoming temps can be between 30-40F regularly (while going home is between 50-70 thus far - haven't hit 80+ yet) Sleek and very comfy. But that also means that pocket space is tight. But I am a weird frame in that I'm short and pretty thick. This jacket has 2 smaller zip pockets and 1 inner zip pocket on the left breast. The sleeves are Velcro, not zippered, and don't open up a lot for those with long thick gloves. But the sleekness makes it decently easy to wear long gloves over the jacket (I bought a pair of one of the "harsh winter" gloves featured on revzilla's winter gear glove review video. Others will have an easier time as my arms are short for my frame so I have a little bit of sleeve bunching (although not as much as most jackets which was a pleasant surprise - how sleek this jacket is) Definitely designed to be sleek/snug. Brilliant Jacket ordered jacket jan. '12 came promptly .size runs a little small so I had to exchange for an XL(i'm 5'10" 180lbs med. frame) which was again quick and no charge .XL fits perfect ,very comfortable on and off the bike .Most importantly , as live in the Northeast , this jacket is very warm when worn over a couple of layers and performed brilliantly on a few 20 and 30 degree days this winter.Still wearing it as some days reach the upper 60's with quilted liner zipped in and remains comfortable. Great Alpinestars Jacket! Great waterproof jacket! It looks great and keeps me warm during the cold, daily San Francisco commutes. I usually wear a sweater underneath, so I removed the liner, which keeps you really nice and warm if you'd only wear a t-shirt. You can't go wrong with Alpinestars products, so I def recommend it. I'm 5'9, about 34 waist and weight about 190lbs and it fits me snug, but not too tight. November 29, 2010
Great jacket! This jacket is a great imo, I have used it in 35-50 degree weather with fog, and feel very comfortable riding in it. The liner is easy to remove and has plenty of pockets to carry your keys, garage opener, id cards, and cell pone. I needed a great jacket for fall/winter/spring and so far this item has passed the tests I've thrown at it. I am very pleased. October 24, 2010

I'm reading the $29.99 does not offer the flexibility and ruins the style of the jacket because it sticks out in the back. I'll pay more if needed. Any suggestions?
