Alpinestars Oxygen Air Overpants
Almost like riding commando
Had these for two weeks and 400 miles, and they are great overpants!
Mesh allows plenty of air, but isn't see-through. Leg zips open up wider than the Cookie Monster for dressing with boots on.
Front pockets have zip closures. There are no rear pockets. Zipper for jacket connection extends from hip to hip, not just 6 inches across the back.
Knee protection feels like foam pads, but is CE-rated and stays where it should when riding. There are some ephemeral hip pads, but they're not advertised, so I see them as 'extras', and won't pass judgment.
They're black, though, and have very tiny reflective piping and no hi-vis patches. I've got 4x4 reflective patches on order that I'll sew on either side of the cuff zipper. (Wish the pants came in white or hi-vis lime/yellow.)
Style? Some. The A-stars logo is prominent; maybe that's important to you. They fit and feel like my bell bottom jeans from years past.
Comfort? Lots. I'm 5-11, 190 lbs, and the size chart found the right size. Legs are a little long for walking, but precisely right for riding -- which is the idea, right?
Protection? Mesh is heavy-duty; kneepads are CE and stay in the correct position ... I'll guess protection will be fine.
Air flow? Mega. Worn these over blue jeans, canvas shorts, and spandex running tights. When summer comes around, I'll consider wearing them over boxers.
Features? Nothing other than what's listed above. Overpant pockets do NOT allow access to "underpant" pockets so transfer wallet, keys, phone, etc somewhere else. (Shouldn't be carrying hard objects against your body anyway, IMHO.)
Recommend? Yes. If you want a no-frills protective overpant that ventilates like crazy, this is what you're looking for.

Solid value but order at least 1 size larger than normal
First off, it took me a few attempts to get the right size in these pants. I've been losing weight recently, and am now somewhere between a 36 & 38 waist in jeans. I'd think that would put me in an XL. The XL's wouldn't even go past my knees they were so tight. I returned them for the XXL, dubious that even those would fit, and ready to potentially try 3XL. The XXL's ended up fitting, but just barely. They have plenty of room through the calf, and are perfect length wise, I'm 6'4" and wear 34" inseam jeans. These feel long, until you sit on a sport bike in normal position and then the length ends up being just about perfect for me. It puts the knee pads in the perfect position, and the length just covers to the correct length on riding boots.
There are at least 2 usable pockets (I haven't checked to see if there are any more hidden somewhere, I haven't needed to). Padding is good, and they seem like they'd make a pretty big difference in a crash, though I hope to never find out. I did have a friend who crashed while wearing the same pants this weekend, and they held up, although it was a relatively tame crash as far as those go (low speed, front impact). These seem to have saved his shin though, as the shin pad was dislodged and had some scratches in that position on the pants.
I have yet to ride with these in anything warmer than 65 degree weather. I have a feeling though they will be QUITE warm in anything above 75, but then again, I get hot incredibly easily. I don't think they'll be worse than the kevlar jeans I have, but probably about the same.

I've been wearing these pants every day on my 20 min commute to work over a pair of jeans. I've only had them for about two months and they've worked great so far. The weather has been cooler and hasn't broken 70 degrees. Over a pair of jeans they keep the chill out but I can see how they might get a little too warm once the temp reaches the 80s and higher. Overall I am glad I purchased these pants. They are comfortable and I feel good with a little more protection with the knee pads.

I bought these a size small because they were not to be used as an overpant as recommended by the video.
Things l like:
Nice fit without a baggy feel.
Good upper ventilation where the mesh is located.
2 good size pockets up front.
Things I don't like:
Not much lower leg ventilation, will have to slightly unzip the bottom when it gets warmer.
Hip padding is weak.
Overall I would recommend the product however I think it is slightly overpriced for what you get, $150 would be a better price point for these pants.
As always great shipping, received item in 2 days.

great pants - attaching to same brand jacket via zipper is a little tedious (a clasp design seems better) has pockets and armor in all the right places, fits comfortably enough for every day commute usage. Relatively light.

Confort fit and great quality
I bought this oxygen pants for commuting with the alpinestars viper air jacket that can be zipped together. They are very comfort to use them as overpants and it offer the right amount of protection. It mesh flow nicely... I say they'll work perfect from 4 to 28 Celsius.

I wear these over my work clothes when I commute. Great fit and they breathe well. They unzip all the way to the knee, which makes taking them on/off super easy. I definitely recommend.

Keeps the boys cool.
I have been wearing these overpants all summer. They are big enough to go over my jeans or I go commando when it is really hot. They keep me cool when moving, but will heat up fast if you are sitting still.
The two pockets are big enough to hold a cell phone and wallet, but there is no pass through on the pockets. You have to unsnap them to get to your jeans pockets.
The hip padding is minimal, but the knee armor is strong and sits in the right place when on the bike. There is no adjustability in the knee armor.
The length is a little long. I am 5' 8" with a 33" inseam and I purchased the large.
