Alpinestars Oxygen Air Over Pants
Good over pants
First off, they are not nearly as slim fitting as they look in the picture, kind of baggy, they fit fine over my baggy jeans. I'm 5'7" 150lb and wear 32/32 loose fitting jeans, ordered a medium, waist is snug, and a little long for me. Since they are long, the knee guard is a little low and no adjustment. Easy to get on over riding boots or a pair of Vans. All in all, for what they are, they are good, not uncomfortable riding, and hopefully enough protection.

I purchased these pants to go over work clothes on my commute. They are easy on/off with the large zips. The knee pad and hips pads work for me. My only complaint is that if you store your pants in less-than-perfect position where the pads are forced to not lay flat they take on that shape. In other words they bend and stay bent until you re-work them into shape. Otherwise great pants for the money.

Pants are pretty much as expected
I've only had these pants for a couple weeks now, but they ended up being exactly how I expected them to be after reading the various reviews. The dual full-length side zips make these pants quite easy to get on and off over boots. I haven't had any problems with the top snaps letting loose like some other reviewers have described.
I'm about 5'9" and wear 33/30 jeans. I got the large and they fit me well over jeans. I haven't really had a chance to try them over shorts yet. They may be a bit baggy, but I think they'll be fine.
The velcro adjustments for the height of the knee pads are easy to use, but the left one doesn't seem to want to stay quite at the correct height. I rejoined the lower velcro and paid particular attention to lining up the two sides as best as possible. I hope it will make the knee pad stay at the correct height. My other concern will be about comfort when the summer temperatures get into the 80s and 90s. These pants have very little airflow, so they will probably be very hot.
I spent a long time going back and forth trying to decide whether to buy these over pants. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend these pants for somebody looking for extra protection and some extra warmth, especially for commute rides.

Added protection, cool style
Wanted something I could wear over shorts in the tropical heat of Hawaii that offers protection and airflow. I'm a 32 waist with a 30 inseam. Ordered the small. Fits snug over a pair of jeans, but comfortable. Fits perfectly over a pair of shorts. Zipper on the leg comes up to the knee making it incredibly easy to put on or take off while wearing riding shoes or boots. Also like that it can zip into my AStars T-GP Pro Air Jacket.

Bought these pants for occational riding. Easy to get on and off. Seem pretty durable for what they are. I'm a pretty small person and wear 30-30 jeans. Bought the smallest available size and they are only slightly looser than they should be. Probably the sizes are pretty accurate. I would say they are a good buy.

Great warm weather pants
Fit is spot on with the sizing guides. Even though they are an "overpant", I often just wear a pair of gym/running shorts under them when I'm just going out for a ride and not to a particular destination. They fit well over a pair of jeans or khakis too and mate up perfectly with the zipper on the Viper Air jacket. Price and durability score a little lower for me because I think you're paying for the name a bit with these pants and mesh isn't going to protect you like leather. Accepting the fact that they are not leather and I'm not wearing them for the track, they're great pants though.

Great over pants
I wish they were a little more protective, but they're great pants all around.

A new rider's perspective
I've had these pants for about 7,500 miles of daily commuting now and so far they've been great! I haven't had the chance to test just how durable they are in a crash, but I'm hoping I will never have to. The padding in the hips tended to shift inside their pockets, so they needed to be readjusted every once in a while, but that's not a big deal to me. The knee padding doesn't have that problem and are the most pronounced pads in the entirety of the pants.
The fabric below the knees is light and makes for great airflow. As a new rider who had gone from a pair of heavy duty work pants to the Alpine Star's, it was kind of a shock to see there was literally no protection on the shins. The leg zippers go from the outside of the ankle all the way up past the inside of the knee, making removal of the pants very easy, even with riding boots on. I put them on and take them off twice daily without any problem.
I'm a 32/32 fit, so I purchased the Medium size pants and they ended up being a little snug with a pair of jeans on underneath. They aren't terribly uncomfortable, but there is no room for adjustment on the velcro waist bands. I figured if I'd worn them for a while, they'd stretch, but so far, they haven't, which is good and bad. The leg length ended up being perfect, placing the knee pads perfectly over my knees. I'm not sure if the blokes at Revzilla would let me return these pants for a Large pair considering how long it's been since I received them, which by the way, delivery was fast! Always a joy ordering from Revzilla.
For a first pair of riding pants, I'm very happy with them. I don't have any experience with anything other than these, so I wasn't sure if a perfect score made sense. If you're a 32/32 fit, I would definitely say that a Large is probably the more comfortable route, size-wise.
