Great looking gloves, decent for price I have always loved Alpinestars equipment as well as Monster Energy. I was stoked to find these on Revzilla and try them out. These gloves are excellent, save a few cons. I mainly ride around town, to and from work. These gloves have pretty great airflow, which is important here in Utah during the hot summer months. The carbon knuckles are great and offer protection from the occasional bug smash on the hand, although I question the gloves overall protection in the case of a higher speed crash. The fingers have a few small rubber pads on the knuckles, which wouldn't do a whole lot if you were to crash. The fingers are made of a mesh material on top, which has begun to fray after about 5 months of use, not too bad though. The overall fit of the glove was very good. It fits nice and snug and really gets soft after a month of use. The hand and palm have a little bit of padding, which certainly helps hand fatigue while riding. Overall I would recommend these gloves to anyone who is looking for a relatively inexpensive riding glove to get them from point A to B in comfort and style. August 27, 2014
they look cool There a great pair of gloves. So comfortable and cheap. June 3, 2014
Freaking Awesome Gloves! I love these Alpinestars M10 Monster Energy Air Carbon Gloves! They're so comfortable I hardly even know that I'm wearing them. The knuckle guard does not rub my knuckles or create uncomfortable pressure points like some other gloves have in the past. I love these gloves so much that I bought a second pair because I lost the first pair. I would buy another pair in a heartbeat and likely will to have a spare pair. Buy them! They look sweet and feel good on the hands. May 26, 2014
decent gloves I love all my alpinestars gear, where I feel like these missed the quality meeting. My fastlane boots are amazing and are holding up amazing. I am a first time riding so I am riding every second I can get, so I don't just ride here and there. My gloves have already lost the green grips on the finger tips. It is only a minor defect, I think, but I really liked the green bits for grips on the gloves. Besides that they're wicked comfortable and very breathable. May 14, 2014
Nice but make sure you order a size bigger, they come too small I love this gloves but I was not to happy about the size any other mayor brand of gloves a medium is just fine for me but this ones are more like a small I wish I had order a large size. April 28, 2014
Look And Feel Good, But Not Protected Enough This is the second pair of gloves that i have owned in the smx-2 line . I been an alpine stars fan since day one and they seem to nail it as far as it can be when it comes to style and trending. The gloves look great on and match my bike. However, i wear gloves for protection and these gloves don't hold up as much as i wish they would. There isn't enough padding and stiff support when it comes to technicality - besides the carbon fiber knuckle, these gloves really don't have any protection. I wore them for 2 weeks and noticed the tpu losing its durability and flaking off the mesh upper panel as well as the bottom grip on the fingers falling off with it. The stitching that welds the glove together isn't great and can be done a lot better in my opinion. Fit is pretty much as close as you can get to it as i wear a size small and they fit well. I really think alpine stars could take a bit of a lesson from the new scorpion sgs gloves and match what it has to offer or make it better. Also, possibly figure a better velcro latch or diff method it leaves the bone exposed that connects your arm to your hand. i think thats vital. All in all, it looks good and would perform well for city riding hence a bad crash but if your going well over 60mph these gloves aren't gonna prevent much apart from the carbon knuckle. Great looking gloves I love these gloves they look and feel great good airflow I would recommend them April 14, 2014
Looks great, performs great, quality is poor. I have owned the M10 gloves now for almost 3 months and I wish I invested in a better pair of gloves. In under 2 weeks of riding with these gloves the green piece on the mesh ring finger and forefinger started to lift and the mesh material started to come undone because the fibers were pulled out when it got stuck to the velcro on my jacket by accident. The velcro next to the pull feature on the palm ripped and I had to re sew it myself. The rest of the glove is intact and in great condition (the leather is starting to turn blue) but overall provides excellent airflow for the summer and the carbon knuckle feels beefy and I feel safe wearing these gloves. I find it extremely easy to find all my controls of my bike and was great commuting with this during the last months of warm days. I ordered a size medium and felt way too tight until i broke it in. I can barely fit a latex glove under these when it was starting to get cold. Attention to detail is poor quality but the features of this glove perform exceptional, I would not recommend this glove. My next investment will be an all leather winter glove and I will not be buying something like this again. December 16, 2013
