Gp Plus Leather Pants I bought these to go with my jacket to use for track days. They do the job and buying these with the jacket was a bit cheaper than buying a suit which is why i did it. However, everytime i went to hope on my bike or to move my legs the pads inside of the pants would rub against my knees and it felt like it was rubbing the skin off. The pants do the job, but they aren't the most comfortable. January 27, 2014
great track pants - run small i love these pants but they run small. I had to get them 2 sizes larger. The folks at revzilla were really cool and it was no fuss. Lova ya guys! December 31, 2013
Great pants These pants are the right length and I am one of those shorter riders and these are the pants for the short guy. But they run really small. I even called Revzilla and the customer rep said to buy a smaller size then what I planned and now I am kicking myself cause I should have gone with my instincts. I figure now I am going to do my cardio. Thanks!! September 29, 2013
Excellent Comfortable, stylish (for motorcycle pants), solid build quality. My only complaint is that I ordered a 'short' version; the overall length was perfect, but the knee pads are positioned far too low, somewhere in the middle of the shins. Odd. Otherwise, I'm very happy with these. July 29, 2013
Great pair of pants I'm a slim 5'7 135lbs and normally wear size 30/31 pants. My measured waist at the belly is about 32-32.5". The GP Plus pants in size 48 are a perfect off the shelf fit. They run a size small so even though the 48 is a 32 US size, it fits more like a 30/31. There is some elastic on the waist at the back so there is a little bit of stretch. For sizing, measure yourself and follow the size chart or take your normal pant size and add 18. If you have muscular legs, add 20. The inseam on the 48 size is probably around 28-29" and the pants stop right above my ankles where they should. I would only order the short length pants if you have a really short inseam. Keep in mind that these pants sit right below the belly button so the inseam doesn't travel down the leg as much compared to a pair of jeans sitting low on the waist. The leather and stitching on the pants seem to be typical high quality from Alpinestars. They do flow a little bit of air and when I rode in them in 83F they were fine. The knee area is a bit tight when tucked in on the bike but I'm hoping it will be better once the pants break in more. There is no velcro size adjustment on the knee and shin armour like on some other pants but the floating design does allow them to move up or down the leg by an 1" or so. The pant legs tucked in perfectly into my Cortech Latigo Air boots. The hip padding is nice as it wraps around from the front to the back of the hip. July 6, 2013
Great first pair of riding pants! This is my first pair of riding leather pants so I have nothing else to compare to but I have to admit they are awesome! The construction and materials are top of the line. They have the right amount of protection at the knees. The sliders are a huge plus and I love the fact that they're removable if you just want to cruise around town or commute to work. I love the padding on the bottom and sides. These pants make me feel safe and confident if I were to take a fall. I am 5'5, 145lbs and I settled on the 50 short. If it wasn't for the extra pounds the fit would be flawless at the waist. It is my understanding that the best fit for riding pants is to try to get them as snug as you can but not to the point of cutting circulation. Took me a while and a couple of exchanges to settle on this size but I'm very happy. As far as air flow it seems to be minimal. Besides I live in coastal San Diego and it doesn't get nearly as hot as the rest of the country. The stretch panels provide the right amount ventilation anyway. Also, Revzilla is the only place to go, customer service is beyond excellent, just ask for advice if you are a first timer for pants like me. Thank you Revzilla!!! April 29, 2013
Great Flexibility but Sizing a little odd The flexibility is great. Legs seem very loose compared to the waist size. I'm no athlete (far from it) the waist was tight compared to the thigh and calf size. April 15, 2013
Finally-a pair of pants that fit This is the third pair of leather pants I ordered that finally fit. Had to order a size 58. I am 5' 11" and a wear a US size 36 pant. Once you get on your sport bike they even made the seat feel more comfortable. February 4, 2013

Chad B: I'm 5'5" and wear the same size jeans. I ordered the short ones, and they fit down into my touring style boots just fine. If I had full track boots they'd be perfect. The main thing is I feel like the armor sits on my knees correctly when on the bike. I haven't tried a regular length pair, so can't comment on that. Hope that helps! Mar 6, 2014

Andrew V: I would say regular... I'm just under 5'6' and 32 waist I have the short version. These pants end up 5cm from the top of my ankle bone...

There should be a measurement for the length of the pants, that should help you.

Mick O: Hi Rob,

These pants are great for summer riding and not too bad in cool weather. They also do not need much breaking in as they have stretch panels. I have other pants for winter riding.

Hope this helps,

Mick

RevZilla: The foam padding that comes with this pant is sewn in and is not removable/replaceable. However, you can use some like the Forcefield Sport Action Shorts for added protection. Apr 11, 2013

ahmed k: hey brooozilla! does that also mean i can use the forcefield pro pants with it's knee guard on for extra knee protection? Aug 27, 2013
A shopper asked: What are the main features that separate these two pants? On the surface they seem to be almost the same, with the same key features. Dec 7, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: Both pants are good options for street and track riding. The Track Leather Pants are available in one length per size, and include more perforation, Kevlar stretch panels, calf expansion zippers, and increased flexibility in a tuck via the rear upper accordion stretch panel. The GP Plus Leather Pants have fewer logos and are available in short, regular, and tall lengths, but do not the perforation or extra expansion and stretch of the Track Leather Pants. Dec 10, 2012

A shopper asked: what means "s" en size, compared with "t" or normal, what is the difference in inseam Aug 30, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The difference in seam lengths between the Short and Tall sizes will vary 1.5"-1.75" in either direction depending on size.

In other words the "S" or Short inseam will be approximately 1.5"-1.75" shorter than the Normal inseam length, where as the "T" or Tall inseam will be approximately 1.5"-1.75" longer than the Normal inseam length.

Again, this is dependent on waist size as the larger waist sizes will have a longer inseam, and the smaller waist sizes will have a shorter inseam length accordingly.

A shopper asked: I have an Alpinestars jacket and would love to have compatible leather overpants to use the zip (rather than getting some Icon Automags or similar). Is it possible to up-size these to accommodate a pair of jeans underneath? What would be the appropriate up-size for a typical 32x32 jeans size? Jul 26, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Triumph3: Leathers with armor are ment to have not jeans underneath, they are supposed to fit very tight to keep the armor in place during an "event". I would suggest looking at a textile overpant if you want to wear jeans underneath. Oct 25, 2012

A shopper asked: With the mens 44S size in these pants, what would the waist and inseam measurements be for this size please? Dec 14, 2011
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Chris K: The waist size would stay the same as standard 44 (29 7/8), while the inseam will be about 1.5-2.0 inches shorter (28.0-28.5). Dec 22, 2011
