Great first pair of riding pants!
This is my first pair of riding leather pants so I have nothing else to compare to but I have to admit they are awesome! The construction and materials are top of the line. They have the right amount of protection at the knees. The sliders are a huge plus and I love the fact that they're removable if you just want to cruise around town or commute to work. I love the padding on the bottom and sides. These pants make me feel safe and confident if I were to take a fall. I am 5'5, 145lbs and I settled on the 50 short. If it wasn't for the extra pounds the fit would be flawless at the waist. It is my understanding that the best fit for riding pants is to try to get them as snug as you can but not to the point of cutting circulation. Took me a while and a couple of exchanges to settle on this size but I'm very happy. As far as air flow it seems to be minimal. Besides I live in coastal San Diego and it doesn't get nearly as hot as the rest of the country. The stretch panels provide the right amount ventilation anyway. Also, Revzilla is the only place to go, customer service is beyond excellent, just ask for advice if you are a first timer for pants like me. Thank you Revzilla!!!

Great Flexibility but Sizing a little odd
The flexibility is great. Legs seem very loose compared to the waist size. I'm no athlete (far from it) the waist was tight compared to the thigh and calf size.

Finally-a pair of pants that fit
This is the third pair of leather pants I ordered that finally fit. Had to order a size 58. I am 5' 11" and a wear a US size 36 pant. Once you get on your sport bike they even made the seat feel more comfortable.

Great for Pants for summer riding
I have owned 2 piece Alpinestars leathers for 8 years ( jacket and bat pants ) and found them to be excellent. I use them for everday riding, touring and the occasional track day. The bat pants being all leather are a bit hot in summer so I ordered a pair of GP plus pants. I am 185cm and 80kilos and found the fit to be good except for some tightness in the knees due to the removable armour which should loosen up over time. The biggest difference has been the better airflow on hot days and being able to move around the bike easier for aggressive riding.

Good and pretty pants.
Those pants are pretty and comfy, and becomes more pretty when used with the SupertechR Boots. It's much tight, then go one or two sizes up.
As shown by the Astars site size chart, the sizes are (and my sizes):
Waist: 104-108 (me 94) cm
Hip: 119-123 (me 112) cm
Thigh: 68-69 (me 65) cm
Inseam: 89-90 (me 96) cm
Height: 192-195 (me 198) cm
I choosed 60T size.
The fit in my waist is absolutly perfect, and couldn't have one centimeter less in it. I thought it was larger for me (at 60T size), but not, it's a bit tighter than it should be to be very comfortable. The legs lenght are good in my tall size. There's a lot of protection on the knee, and some foam at the sides of thigh and coccyx. The quality of the leather is awesome, but it's not perfurated, what's makes it a bit hotter. The ziper connection between the pants and jacket are not the same size, something like 5cm of difference (more in the jacket).

Good Pants
These are great pants that zipped right into my Helius jacket and look great together. Do your self a favor and throw a tap measure around your waist AND your bellybutton line. Have both numbers ready to give the guys at RZ. Your pant waist size isn't true to Euro size which is millimeters and don't lie on labels. I 31" and 32" in ALL my pants, i actually put a tape around my waist it was 33 3/4". I had to return the first pants for a size bigger. These have a high waist which has good over lap between jacket and pants, which exactly what you want from a 2 piece suit.
My first time using them was for a track day. Little tight at first, but the day was hot and by the end they were great.

Great set of Alpinestar leather pants!!!!
This set of Alpinestar GP Plus leather pants are outstanding. Great quality, very very comfortable, the airflow through them are amazing and they just don't get any better than this. The only problem I had was that they do run small so I had to return it for a new size. When you order these pants make sure you add 18 to your actual pant size to give you the right euro size. Other than that these pants are awesome and I recommend them completely
