Klim Tactical Shorts
They're very good quality base layer shorts, but there are a few issues. First, the gaps in the padded areas are begging to be exploited by branches or any other hazards, leaving a sense of vulnerability - strange from a piece of protection. Second, the padded seat looks to be designed for a bicycle seat. It doesn't reach the 'sitting bones' but sits in there where a bicycle seat would be. I can't say it's totally ineffective on a motorbike, though. Next, these are warm. I'd say wear them when it's cold out. Also, the silicone strip around the thighs are good at ripping leg hairs at inopportune moments. It must be another reason why bicycle guys shave their legs. And then the price... But they're comfortable (in the cool weather) and I like the way they beef up existing hip protection. I wear them. Buy a pair if you're in a splurging mood.

Very comfortable and protective
Another good product from Klim (very comfortable).
I am a 38 (jeans and chino pants) so I was between LG or XL because I read some reviews saying they were kind of tight. Call Revzilla and they told to buy the same size of my underpants (LG). I am happy I followed Revzilla advise because they fit perfect.
I use the Tactical shorts under Traverse Klim pants size 36
Thanks Klim & Revzilla!

far better than built in armour
I wasn't confident that the built in armour in my motorcycle pants would stay in place in the event I came off the bike. It felt loose and moved around easily. I purchased the shorts, along with some Thor knee armour, and removed the built in armour. I am completely confident that the undergarments will stay in place if I ever come of. A solid investment in proper Ppe. Completely happy with my purchase.

Just what I was looking for
Another well-thought-out product from Klim.
Great quality, comfort, protection, no surprises on the sizing...what more can I say.
The only negative I can think of is the gap between the two thigh pads makes them visible sometimes through kevlar jeans.
But if there was no gap they probably wouldn't be comfortable.
All in all, awesome product.

I would recommend these to anybody. Very comfortable secure feeling to ware. Plenty of ventilation and the padding will definitely help in case of an off/crash on the trail. Don't know if I would recommend for protection on the track though. I think in that case you would want something more substantial

I love these. I ordered a large and i am 190 and a 38" waist. They are very comfortable on and the padding in the crotch helps greatly with the hard seat on my Yamaha WR450. I have not got the opportunity to see how well they protect and hope I never have to. They do give that extra air of confedance while wearing them.

I previously purchased the Forcefield Action Shorts for wearing under my street gear, but found them to be overly warm, bulky and cumbersome. I sold them off cheap and went with the Klim Tactical Shorts.
The difference is eye-opening. Sure, the Forcefield will probably offer more protection, but the trade off is well worth it.
The Klims are SO comfortable, I never realize I'm wearing them. The protection should be just fine, as the high-density padding seems to be in all the right places. I have numerous pieces of Klim gear, and EVERY SINGLE ONE is excellent, well thought out and high quality. I should have went with Klim in the first place.
