Poorly crafted. This item's threads started to become undone and I would have to pull at it and watch it get longer and longer. The material is thin, so I wouldn't recommend it for 30F-40F riding. It still gets cold with this thing on. January 9, 2013
It is what it is This is an inexpensive Balaclava. It is very thin which is good for fitting under a helmet and it provides some extra warmth but not much. October 7, 2011
It Works! For the price, I thought I'd give this a try. I wear a Scorpion full face helmet that was kinda cheap, but does a pretty good job of blocking out the wind. It has a good rubber visor gasket that seals pretty well. That being said, on days when it's 30 degrees and colder, things get uncomfortable. I have a 25 minute commute with about half that distance in 60MPH speed limit zones with stoplights and the other half 60-70MPH, no stoplights. I couldn't believe the difference this balaclava made. It fits well under the helmet and provides an extra layer of warmth - VERY noticeable. I wear eyeglasses and had to cut a mouth opening so my glasses wouldn't fog up. The opening was a little bigger than I wanted, so it exposes my upper lip a bit. Riding at 24 degrees for 25 minutes, I had a stiff upper lip by the time I stopped, but not having the balaclava would have caused an instant cold headache. Well worth the money! BONUS - If you ride with ear buds, this thing keeps them in place when taking the helmet off and putting it on. March 14, 2011
Good Great material. Works great to block the wind in the heat or cold. It runs the length of my neck to my jacket so I get little wind. Only thing kind of annoying is that the seam runs straight down the front. I don't wear it over my nose since it is a little tight there. Overall it works great. January 26, 2009
