Jiano, an ancient god that had roots in a number of different cultures, was used to symbolize change and transitions such as the progression of future to past, of one condition to another, of one vision to another, and of one universe to another. The perfect symbol of the new Vemar Jiano flip up street helmet!

Features:

  • The Jiano features a mid oval shell shape which offers a more generous fit front to back and more snug fit ear to ear. A very comfortable fitting helmet for riders who like to ride for long distances. The internal liner fits the rider without any kind of pressure points.
  • The exterior shell is constructed of ultra light thermoplastic material. Aerodynamically shaped for ease of cutting through the air with less buffeting and wind noise, thus lessening the stress on the rider’s neck muscles after a long ride. Two sizes of outer shells cover the 7 helmet sizes for the ultimate in a light weight yet proportional fit.
  • The Jiano’s face cover lock mechanism exceeds expectations for safety and convenience. The face cover lock utilizes metal pins and hooks, making it extremely resistant to opening in the event of an accident. At the same time, the recessed actuation button is easy to use even with one gloved hand.
  • Anti-fog, non-scratch 2.2mm thick outer quick release clear shield
  • A sleek dark tint interior shield can be moved into position at the rider’s discretion via an easy to access lever on the exterior left side of the helmet. Interior shield can be used even with the chin bar rotated upward.
  • The Jiano features a double density high impact inner shell. Removable and washable ultra plush non-deformable high density expanded polyurethane inner liner. Inner liner is manufactured from a technical fiber that provides life-long treatment against odor, fungus and bacteria, and extraordinary wicking capabilities that result in enhanced rider comfort.
  • Padded chin strap with a micro adjustable closure buckle for fantastic comfort, easy operation and maximum safety. Padded wind deflector and removable breath in the chin piece. A fine screen is in the chin vent for insect protection.
  • A medium Jiano helmet weighs only 1810 grams or 3.9 pounds.
  • Features the exclusive “Vemar Klima” adjustable full ventilation system.
  • High quality, hand laid graphics under a thick layer of UV protective clear coating. Every Vemar helmet comes with a high quality helmet bag and a detailed user guide.
  • Five (5) year warrantee from manufacturing date. Which equates to the full usable life of the helmet. DOT certified.

Great features, poor fit I really wanted this helmet to fit. My hat size is a 7 1/8" long-oval, and I've been wearing Medium helmets for 18 years. This Medium just didn't fit right. When I closed the chinbar, which locked rather authoritatively (good thing), the helmet crushed my cheekbones, and not in a new-helmet-it'll-relax kind of way. I emailed Motonation (the US distributors) asking if they had thinner cheekpads. After a week of no response I called them, and no, they don't. I emailed RevZilla asking for a solution and they called me back the very next day with some great ideas! I didn't try them, though. I removed the cheekpads and put the helmet on again. The crown part of the interior (where it rests on your skull) was too large. I could easily slide the helmet forwards and backwards. My head measures 55.5cm, which Vemar states puts me in a Small. With the cheekpads crushing my face in a Med, I was afraid a Small, while fitting my skull, would turn my face into something resembling a tilapia. I returned the helmet. Conclusion: This is a very well-made helmet with many desirable features. RevZilla customer service is excellent. No two skulls are alike, so this may be the perfect helmet for you. If it weren't for the mismatch between my noggin and this lid, I'd be in helmet heaven right now July 3, 2013
Love it nice features Good helmet. Iove the easy release chin strap. Only complaint is the inside sun shield/glasses isnt long enough April 23, 2013
Very good helmet no matter the price! Very good helmet no matter the price. Great city helmet thanks to the flip up front. Some wind whistling at highway speed from top side of visor. Not a lot of wind noise overall. Good air flow. The sun visor seats a little high but after you start focusing on the riding again, you do not notice it anymore and it provides a decent sun protection. I like the retchetin closure. It came with an extra (tinted) visor, a neoprene (?) clip-on attachment to seal the helmet under the chin and a good quality helmet textile bag. Very happy with my purchase!!! March 31, 2013
vemar jiano EVO tc I'm very satisfied with the Jiano EVO TC! The helmet fits perfect for my mid oval head. The EVO is very comfortable and seems very well built. As mentioned by others, it has very positive latching and adjustments. I'm not sure about the venting. It doesn't feel like there is any airflow, but it hasn't fogged up as of yet. My only complaints is the very narrow field of vision and my scala Q2 boom mic does not fit under the cheek pad. Minor complaints for a helmet I feel is on par with others that cost twice as much. Great modular helmet for the money After much research on modular helmets I decided upon the Vemar. It has good fit & finish with details of a more expensive helmet. It is comfortable, has good visibility, the sun shade is easy to use and effective. My only complaint would be the physical size of the helmet (seems lightly larger than others) and wind noise while traveling at speed. September 24, 2012
Vemar Jiano EVO TC is a deal!!! After deciding that I wanted to try a modular helmet, I looked at the alternatives on the market. i had pretty much decided to either bite the bullet for the Schuberth or Shoei Neotec, when I came across some reviews for the Jiano EVO. I decided to chance it, as I could get the helmet AND the bluetooth cheekpad for less than either of the other choices alone. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Venting could be a bit better, but the noise (or lack thereof) was a pleasant surprise! I had previously worn an Arai Signet, then an Icon (can't recall the model) full face, and the Vemar is far quieter then either of the others. Comfort is close, but not quite to the level of the Arai, but blows the Icon away. It seems to be well constructed, and having a removable interior is fantastic. I found that once I installed the Bluetooth, it was difficult to pull on, due to it being tight going over my ears. Once on, no discomfort. Solution? The Sliks head cover I've come to love so much - the silk outer layer allows the Jiaon to slip right on and adds to the comfort. Cons? There aren't many. With the Bluetooth boom mic, I find it hard to get the mic in a spot that doesn't touch my face or lips, but its a minor annoyance. The lower wind guard doesn't easily clear the mic when closing the front, but this is something I'm getting used to. Same with the euro-style ratcheting chin strap, but the Schuberth has the same mechanism, so if you simply can't ilve with that, then the Shoei becomes the only real alternative. I have no doubt that I would prefer the Shoei over the Vemar, IF the pricing was equal, but it isn't! The Vemar is a bargain, and I think will serve me well in my travels on my '05 BMW R1200 GS. Good helmet, but very noisy A very good modular helmet, but extremely noisy. The visor is quite useful as you don't need to wear sunglasses while riding. August 25, 2012
Very happy with my first helmet - the glow is real I can't speak from years of experience - I'm a new rider - but so far this helmet has been awesome for me. I tried on a couple of helmets before deciding on this one - it seems to have a rounder shape than others, which fit nicely on my fat head. The glow is real, and intense, but one thing you'll soon find is that you don't normally wear a helmet all day long and then into the night. the glow finish requires a good deal of time to "charge" in sunlight to make it luminescent when the sun goes down, so if you're not riding from the afternoon into the evening, you'll need to leave it out in the sun - or under a powerful lamp - to get the desired effect. That, or stand next to a black light. It looks AMAZING under a black light. Aside from the finish, I'm very pleased with the overall build. Air flow seems to be good, don't find myself getting too sweaty in there yet, and the pop-up facemask is very useful for talking, going to the ATM, anything you need to do at a brief stop without taking the whole thing off. The flip-down shades are a hit a parties, but haven't proven too useful for me yet; the shades seem to be made of much cheaper plastic than the front lens. The thing is very, very large on the outside. If you don't want to look like a future alien, don't get this. The ratchet chinstrap can be uncomfortable if tightened too much, but nothing like a dealbreaker there. Will post more thoughts as I have more time with it, but so far, I feel like my money was well-spent. It is just awesome to have a helmet that glows so strongly. July 30, 2012

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
B J: I purchased the Vemar Jiano based on it's features and good price point, and felt confident because of the amount of positive reviews that it received on Revzilla. I have been very happy with it. It's a great helmet for the money, when you don't want to spend 6-900.00 on a big name brand with the same features. Jun 30, 2014

The correct size is determined by the circumference of the rider's head. This must be measured at a height of about 3/4 of an inch above the rider’s eyebrows.
