I own several leather and mesh jackets but wanted something for use through several seasons that also gave me high visibility. By luck through searches on several sites I found this Speed & Strength Coast is Clear Jacket. Revzilla offered the best price (highly discounted) with a return option, which other sites did not offer and of course I wanted shopping for a jacket online. This jacket looks great (my wife approves) because it looks like a motorcycle jacket without looking like power ranger gear. The jacket I purchased is mostly white which I wanted for high visibility and nicely accented with black and grey. I couldn't believe the jacket has adjustable waist straps, a wet weather liner, removable sleeves for higher air flow and a cold weather vest. All these removable features have well placed zippers and actually build on each other nicely and/or work independently giving the owner various options and setups for year round riding at an incredible price. The jacket isn't my first choice on the warmest days (over 90 degrees) as I like plenty of air flow, but definiteIy a jacket I wear/have worn from 60-80 degrees. have received several compliments on the jacket. I'm 5'10" weigh 190 lbs with a muscular build, have a size 44" chest and 33" waist. I chose the XL and it fits slightly large with the liner/vest installed and of course a little looser with all liners removed for hot summer nights. I like the fit and the jacket feels comfortable while riding. It's probably going to be difficult keeping the white like new but that goes without saying as a rider. The bikes I ride with this jacket are a Honda VFR800 and a Ducati SportClassic. I added the optional Knox CE back protector. Great jacket from a great store at a great price. Thanks Revzilla!

I have only had this jacket for a little over a month now but works well for me. With all of the liners out and the sleeves off it is cool enough to ride early morning here in Charleston SC. I find that the jacket fits well with out the liners in but can be a little snug with all of them installed.

This is my first touring jacket with zip-out liners and armor. I'm Impressed with the design and construction. The heavy nylon seems very stout, and the armor in shoulders, elbows and back provide good protection. I chose the ST because it was a little longer, and it does cover your tailbone. It's spring in New England, and the jacket is warm enough at temps > low 50's. I don't know about the ventilation yet. Innermost quilted liner seems a little flimsy, center liner and outside skin are sturdy. Jacket could use softer lining at the neck - I wear a neckerchief to avoid chafing. Ask me how I like it a year from now. I plan to get a lot of use from this jacket. Good value.

Okay I have to say although I have not had this jacket to long I do like the features. The zip off sleeves should make it great for the summer weather here (often 50's-60's in the summer when I leave for work, 90-100 when I ride home) the syncro sleeves offer more venting than my regular textile jacket does. I like the length as it is a little longer but not quite a 3/4 jacket. Everything seems sturdy and very well thought out. The jacket, particularly with the liners in is a bit tight, I normally find medium a little large on me this one feels a tad small (except the sleeves which are absolutely perfect) I will stay with the medium as it fits very very well with all the liners out (5'8 140 slim/athletic). A few minor issues: The sleeves feel stiff / tight since there is a mesh and an AR600 sleeve but I dont really notice it on the bike, the shoulder armor is placed a little further back than I think it should be and the neck snap is a little tricky. Overall though an insanely well thought out jacket by SS, I am not a big fan of black jackets due to visibility and sometimes heat so I went with white it did come with a few discolored spots (like warehouse grime, nothing worse than I would see after a ride or two and have to look super close to see it but be aware). SS does need to work on adding a little more reflective material and higher quality reflective material. Overall seems great and feels very warm with all the layers and added length. Does have a zipper attachment but they should have also included the belt loop attachment as well as I just grab riding jeans most of the time.

the zippers snag and get stuck all the time - everyone i operate! the forearm zips are sharp and have scratched up the top of my hands - had to take a torch to them and smooth out the pointy nylon.
it isn't a cold weather lacket at all - the thermal layer is only around the chest. that makes for some cold arms on chilly days.
