Non-Bootie Designs: Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome; add to the boot’s thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the rider’s performance and comfort.

Gore-Tex: Striving for peak performance? Whether it’s a day on a wet track, a long distance tour through all types of conditions, or simply pursuing your everyday adventures, Sidi GORE-TEX® lined boots will help you get there. Designed to provide comfort and protection, Sidi GORE-TEX® boots keep your feet dry, even when you encounter snow, or rain. Each Sidi GORE-TEX® boot is totally waterproof to keep moisture from penetrating inside, yet incredibly breathable to allow sweat to escape. This high breathability is critical to your comfort because, simply put, sweaty feet are uncomfortable feet. Inside waterproof boots that are not breathable, moisture builds up and has nowhere to go. It then remains trapped against your skin, leaving your feet clammy, uncomfortable, and more prone to develop blisters.

This can be even more of a problem in high aerobic activities because the more active you are, the more your feet sweat — we’re talking up to one full cup of water a day! Sidi’s GORE-TEX® lined boots is specifically designed to provide comfort and protection on a hard ride or for longer rides when the weather is warmer. The patented GORE-TEX® membrane is where it all starts. Nestled between the boot’s outer top grain leather and the inner liner, this membrane keeps water out while letting your perspiration vapor escape. As part of Sidi’s waterproof guarantee, EVERY boot produced is tested for waterproofness and breathability. And, to make sure the whole boot breathes the way it should, all leather and other textile materials used to construct Sidi GORE-TEX® boots are tested for breathability as well. So go on — take that extra step. Take it in total comfort because you’re wearing Sidi GORE-TEX® boots!

Great boot! I've put about four thousand miles on my V Strom with these these boots in a variety of conditions. I was looking for a boot that I would wear on and off the bike on a long trip. I've done done my share of walking in them, trails included. I've ridden over 700 miles in a day in 116 degree temps. I've ridden in the rain. I also wanted a boot that was fairly simple to get in and out of. These boots handled everything I threw at them. They still look fairly new with no signs of wear, sole included. September 17, 2015
Comfortable and durable I've had these boots for about a month. So far I find them very comfortable. I generally wear an 11 or 11.5 in street shoe. I was able to go to the brick and mortar store in Philadelphia and try on several sizes! The 46 fits me well; I tried on the 45 but was too snug and not comfortable. I ride a BMW K1200GT; on the first couple of rides with these boots I found that I had to "think" a lot about the upshifts, downshifts, and pressing the rear brake pedal - the boots are kind'a stiff for this type of peg:shifter:pedal foot positioning. After a few more rides, the feel was a little better but shifting and braking still require some effort as the boots are still breaking in. They'd probably be awesome on a Harley with a heel-toe shifter and a forward brake pedal. The protection of these boots seem to offer much, much better protection than the ankle-high hikers that I had been riding with. The toe and heel boxes seem to offer good protection as does the insert in the shin area. The boots are of pretty good construction; however, there are clarino sections beneath the ratcheting buckles that get scratched up (you can only see when unbuckled, though); and my pair has a missed stitch hole on one of the leather panels. The lug sole is awesome giving fantastic stability and traction when balancing the bike. Overall, good so far; a little pricey for the clarino and missed stitching hole. August 20, 2015
Excellent boot - very comfortable The Sidi Canyon boots fit like a glove and are very comfortable right out of the box. With my very flat feet it's difficult to find a good fitting boot - these are perfect. Nice features, well made boot and offer great protection. Just broke them in on a 2,500 mile ride through hot temps and some rough terrain and I have zero complaints. Even comfortable when off the bike walking around. August 10, 2015
I really enjoy this boot. Cut and dry, this would be a great boot if it were sub $250. Personally, it is a good boot at its current price point. It is a simple design, nothing fancy or cumbersome. The boots gave me all day comfort on and off the bike and the gortex does what it's suppose to do; keep your feet dry and allow ventilation. That's pretty had to do during the Florida summers because it's very balmy and rains everyday. The boot fits true to size for me, with ample room in the toe box. Ratchet strap holds well and provides the wearer with a nice custom fit. In the past I usually rode in light hiking or military style footwear and this is my first pair of "Dual Sport" boots and it does feel like a small amount of sensitivity while operating foot controls have been lost, mainly the rear brake lever. Sure footing on wet roads when stopped in traffic or at lights, so you don't have to be overly cautious and worry when putting your foot down coming to a stop. If your in the market for a pair of riding boots and the price point doesn't scare you away, then I highly recommend the Sidi Canyon's. You will not be disappointed. July 22, 2015
Very nice boot, a little pricey, but wearable all day Bought these boots thinking they would breathe better than most, what with the Goretex, and overall, they do a good job of keeping my feet dry and comfortable. The sole is quite stiff and I added a set of gel inserts to give me more support, comfort, and really fill in the toe box (which is quite large), so that shifting is now easier to feel and less of a "stir your toes in the spaghetti bowl" scenario. The lower velcro portion doesn't quite line up nicely with the cut of the boot, particularly where the buckle/strap are located on the outside edge of the boot (relative to motorcycle being the center), and the plastic hinge is a bit flimsy for this price range. I have difficulty inserting the plastic toothed strap cleanly into the right boot, and while it looks like it's aligned, I usually have to try two or three times to get it right. The hinge on the left boot clatters when I'm walking; not sure why yet. They are all day comfortable now, with the insoles added, and this is a major plus for me. Looking forward to spending many years in them and seeing how they work out. June 29, 2015
You won't be sorry I did a ton of research before buying these boots, which included watching and re watching the Revzilla videos. The boots were a little stiff, but broke in quickly and are now all-day comfortable...really! On casual Friday's, I wear them all day at the office with my jeans and can't complain at all. The only issue I have is that I now need to adjust my shift lever higher so I can get my toe under the shifter. Not a problem really, just needs to go up a bit higher than it was set up when I was wearing my old boots. Outstanding product and won't be sorry ordering your Sidi Canyon Goretex boots from Revzilla. June 26, 2015
Comfortable all weather riding boot... I haven't been caught in the rain yet so I can’t attest to them being waterproof but there are plenty of other reviews here that can. That said, quality is top notch as to be expected, they are comfortable to wear and offer good protection for touring. In addition, when you take off your touring gear they look like a stylish boot and fit under jeans so you can wear them around town without standing out like Herman Munster. June 22, 2015
A great boot This is the most comfortable motorcycle boot out of the box I've owned. It seems to offer good, all-around protection, although it is not at the level of my racing boots, which I did not expect. I particularly like the sole. No slipping on oil or mud, the lugs clean well and yet there remains good feel. I've discovered the boots are as waterproofed as claimed, which I can't say for some other boots I've worn. They are quite comfortable to walk around in as well. Overall, I'm most pleased. June 22, 2015

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Jame D: Wore these boots on 11K+ mile trip. Saw 2 solid days of rain and sleet, temps from 40's to 90's. Feet stayed dry and comfortable with just a pair of wool socks. Relatively easy to walk in and remain in great shape. Expensive but worth the price. Oct 5, 2015
kathy h: These are awesome boots. I haven't ridden in the rain yet, but I'm prepared - because it's only a matter of time here in the Swamp! Sep 7, 2015
alejandro a: I have trouble getting adjusted to these boots. They are much bulkier than normal boots and I have some trouble feeling my gears shift, but I am sure I just need to break them in more; only wore them for a month after i got them becasue it got too cold after. I dont wear these unless it is cold, and in Texas the cold weahter is not with us for long. Sep 4, 2015
alan c: shopped quite some time ... seems to be best boot for the $$$$ Jul 21, 2015

Allan S: I wanted some good boots for Winter riding. They keep my feet dry and warm. A little stiff for walking, but I usually manage to stay comfortable when I have to wear them all day long. Great soles for snow/mud. Apr 14, 2015
anthony P: Based on the reviews of others, I acquired these boots and couldn't be happier. Wear them all day and into the night, rain or shine, and they have proven to be comfortable, forgettable (you not aware you are wearing boots), and totally waterproof. You can actually stand in a puddle and as long as you don't got over the top, your feet will stay dry.Highly recommend

Guy B: Second pair. Great general purpose-boot that is equally appropriate on the Harleys, and on road trips on the GS Adventure... Day-long comfort. Sized small... Apr 1, 2015
Sverre A: Anthony described them in the video as "Adventure/Touring lite" which is kind of what I'm looking for. I'm not too thrilled with the buckle, it looks like it might catch on stuff, so I also ordered the Sidi Armada boots to compare. The price is difference between the two is only $40. Mar 4, 2015

James H: video review Aug 19, 2014
Shannon B: I really like the stylish look of the boot and the reviews all seemed positive. I like that the zipper is protected, the clasp is easy to use and adjust. I like the shin protection as well as the suede leather over the toe to protect from the shifter. I've also read reviews of people who have had success re-soling the boot (including re-soling to add more height). I ordered a size 41 as you can't get 40 in North America - nervous because I'm a size 8-8.5 women's. I'll let you know how it goes. Jul 28, 2014

Aaron L: Greetings! Revzilla forwarded me your questions - I'm guessing because I bought these boots from them... and maybe they know I ride a GS (oh, magic of the interwebs!). Anyway, I ride an 800GS with cleated pegs and have had zero problems with soles on these boots. I LOVE these boots. Great blend, comfy on road for long days - and I've taken them on some pretty gnarly single track on my 800GS and they've performed beautifully. Good option for GS riders in my opinion... if I ever buy a 250 for serious off-road shredding I'll go full motocross boot at that point. But for now these are perfect! Cheers! Dec 29, 2014

Thaddeus B: I have about 2500 mi on these on my F800GS w/stock pegs, most miles were on-road but with the rubber inserts removed. Can't see any sign of wear on the soles yet - zilch. Just a little abrasion on the suede insert on the top of the toe on shifter side. Would definitely buy again, though maybe down a size - I went up which wasn't necessary. Dec 28, 2014

Bill M: I have had a pair of these boots for two riding seasons on my 2011 R1200 GSA and there is not much wear at all on the soles. But I don't go offroad and stand on my pegs very much either. Perhaps someone who does more offroad will respond. The boots have performed as well as I expected in all areas. Dec 29, 2014

Jeff K asked: Can a pair of jeans fit outside of these? Looking for a decent riding boot, but one that I can wear jeans with at work on casual day as well and look fairly decent around the office. How comfortable are they for all day walking around the office wear? Aug 10, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
A s: Hi Jeff,

I can answer the first part of your question because it was important to me as well. Yes, standard jeans will fit over these boots. I've not worn them enough to know how comfortable they will be all day. The foot bed is fairly stiff so expect don't expect casual shoe comfort for sure.

Guy B: Pretty comfortable.. Although they are sized "European"... I always wore a 10.5 and had a pair that size but was always a bit tight. Would not want to walk much in the 10.5's recently bought an 11 but have not worn them yet.

They do fit inside of Levis. I wear them riding Harleys in jeans.

AlecMyrddyn: Sidi may say "no", but many Canyon owners on ADVRider have had success bringing their boots to an experienced cobbler and having Vibram replacement soles installed. Apr 12, 2013
Reply to AlecMyrddyn Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Fletch9871: I have the Sidi Onroad which has an identical sole. I had mine resoled for $55.00 by a local shoe shop. They basically grind off most of the existing sole and bond a new Vibrame sole to the boot. 15,000 miles on the new soles and they're still good to go. I'm guessing the Vibram sole will conservatively last twice as long as the originals. Aug 29, 2011

Tango: Yes they can. If you can't find a local cobbler with the right sole, contact "Motonation" direct. They are the importers for the Sidi line. Nov 29, 2011

nopkle: Although Sidi may not offer resoling, a good cobbler can resole the Canyons with a quality vibram sole - cost ~$50. Aug 22, 2011

Raymond L asked: I like the function and looks of this boot but I have a wide foot and I am concerned about fit. Is there a similar boot that might be better for a wide foot? Feb 19, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
phillip t: That is a difficult question and maybe better answered by you trying on boots in person. I can tell you that this boot it a European design and fit; meaning it is tighter and a little short even when using the size equivalent guide. I ordered a full size larger and I am glad I did.
I have another suggestion that goes with trying on boots in person; get "professionally" measured. In my youth I sold shoes and boots. One thing that always amazed me was that many, many people were wearing the wrong size, especially men! This was done by unethical sales people most of the time. A lot of men "think" they have wide feet when in fact they have normal feet but have been placed in wrong sizes for so long that they became accustomed to the feel. Seek truly professional advice and fitting! Good luck.

A s: I have a wide foot as well, they fit great. My toes are not sqweezed together. Best investment I made in Motorcycle apparel. I love them.
Walked all over fair grounds in hot and raining conditions / Laconia NH, all day comfort. I went out in the snow with them in two feet of snow and they where better then my snow boots, warm and dry. They look, feel and preform great. They are not hot in the summer months for all day riding and comfort by my standards. They are also not heavy, made very well.

Paul D: I've had these boots for a few years now and am 100% satisfied with their fit and function. I didn't think that I had particularly wide feet, but when recently being sized for a new set of dress shoes I was advised that I should select EE width. So I don't know if that helps, but as I said I've been wearing these boots for several years and have no complaints about them at all, including comfort. Feb 19, 2015

George S: They work pretty well for me,and I need a 3-4E shoe/boot depending on vendor. I did end up going half a size larger than I normally wear to get a good fit. I'm not familiar enough with other boots to recommend one. Feb 19, 2015

Gary H: To me the Sidis run a little small. I should have went up another size. I wear 10 1/2 US and bought a 44 (as recommended by Revzilla) and should have bought a 45. I have to wear thin socks with mine. the toe box is a little snug. Don't let this dissuade you from purchasing the boots. I really like the boots. If I had the extra cash I would purchase 45's and keep both pair. Feb 18, 2014

Robert M: Hi Gavin, the Alpine Stars were a bit narrow for me. The Sidi's give a little more room in the toe box yet no heel slipping.
I love my Sidi's. I've been to Alaska & to Nova Scotia both from Colorado. They keep me dry and warm.
Hope this helps

Nick D: Hey,
I have the 9.5/43 boots and they fit great and protection is amazing.
I dropped my k1200s and ended up with rt ankle between curb and under the bike's entire weight. It would of crushed my ankle in any other style I had researched. Do not ride without them.

I've had the Sidi Canyon for 2 years now. They fit true to size but I find then a bit narrow. I usually have no problem with boot width so they might be on the skinny side. Hope this helps

Michael P: Kiwi parade gloss! I've been waxing my boots since I bought them almost two years ago. I wear them every day. I wear them to work in. I play in the mud with them, and even kick fires with them. Give them a quick wax shine and they're good as new. Almost. Sep 15, 2015

Paul D: I have size 8 Men's boots and from the floor to the back of the boot is 11" at the back and about 12" at the front. The heel is about 1.5", so the boot on comes up about 10" up your leg. I'm about 5'7" tall, so I'm no giant, but these boots have been part of my regular gear for two years now.

I just came back from an 8 day trip covering about 3,800 kms (sorry - Canadian!) and I wore the boots all day, everyday riding a BMW R1200RT. The were very comfortable and never too hot or too cold. We had one day of solid rain and these boots kept my feet 100% dry. Gortex is worth the cost and is fully waterproof. I have not been disappointed in these boots and they are also pretty comfortable for just walking around in too.

Ed G: I have had these boots for close to 2 years and use them strictly for on road. They are very comfortable riding and walking. Look nice enough that you can wear them to dinner and no one will say anything. I wear motocross boots when off road riding so I'm used to a higher boot. The height of these has never bothered me. Highly recommend them. Jul 6, 2014
