Non-Bootie Designs: Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome; add to the boot’s thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the rider’s performance and comfort.

Gore-Tex: Striving for peak performance? Whether it’s a day on a wet track, a long distance tour through all types of conditions, or simply pursuing your everyday adventures, Sidi GORE-TEX® lined boots will help you get there. Designed to provide comfort and protection, Sidi GORE-TEX® boots keep your feet dry, even when you encounter snow, or rain. Each Sidi GORE-TEX® boot is totally waterproof to keep moisture from penetrating inside, yet incredibly breathable to allow sweat to escape. This high breathability is critical to your comfort because, simply put, sweaty feet are uncomfortable feet. Inside waterproof boots that are not breathable, moisture builds up and has nowhere to go. It then remains trapped against your skin, leaving your feet clammy, uncomfortable, and more prone to develop blisters.

This can be even more of a problem in high aerobic activities because the more active you are, the more your feet sweat — we’re talking up to one full cup of water a day! Sidi’s GORE-TEX® lined boots is specifically designed to provide comfort and protection on a hard ride or for longer rides when the weather is warmer. The patented GORE-TEX® membrane is where it all starts. Nestled between the boot’s outer top grain leather and the inner liner, this membrane keeps water out while letting your perspiration vapor escape. As part of Sidi’s waterproof guarantee, EVERY boot produced is tested for waterproofness and breathability. And, to make sure the whole boot breathes the way it should, all leather and other textile materials used to construct Sidi GORE-TEX® boots are tested for breathability as well. So go on — take that extra step. Take it in total comfort because you’re wearing Sidi GORE-TEX® boots!

Excellent all-purpose road boots One of the best gear purchases I've ever made.. These boots arrived shortly before I left on a 4-day 1400 mi road trip through Nevada and California. To put it simply, most of the time I forgot I had the boots on, that's how neutral and easy to wear they are. They are lighter than they look, despite having a thicker, aggressive sole, which is a feature I like. Better than typical smooth-soled road boots and perfect for those short hikes up the embankment or hilltop near the turnout so you can capture that epic scenery shot, bike included of course. Despite temps ranging from 50 to 100 degrees, my feet were never hot or cold, so the insulation does its job well. The Velcro and ratchet closures are a little fussy but once you master them they're not an issue, and they hold the boots securely on your feet. Because of the heavier sole you may need to adjust your shift lever a tad to get your toe under it, but there is still plenty of feel. All in all, my feet and ankles felt very well-protected and I would recommend these boots. July 14, 2014
Wanted to get a nice real riding boot I have had several Sidi boots over the years and actually they are the only ones that have lasted still in my inventory. Ive gone through a couple S&S and Icon boots and decided to get a new really nice boot to ride with my new Harley. My other boots are more styled for my previous sport bike. After tons of research and recommendations I went with this boot. Granted, its one of the first boots I lusted after when it first came out many years ago. It didnt really go with the bikes I had at the time so I never really gave it a thought. I ordered the same size as all my other Sidi's considering they are pretty consistent in their fit. The first thing I noticed was they arent as heavy as they look. They are very solid boots though. They were pretty comfortable right off the bat but I knew they would break in a little better after some wear. The one thing Ive noticed though is because I have a low instep, the buckle hits my foot a bit uncomfortably when Im walking. It has gotten a little better as they break in but just something to notice if you have feet like me. The other thing I found awkward is that they velcro to the outside of the leg. This is weird to me since all my other boots close from the inside. Im used to sitting on a chair or something and crossing my leg as I zip up and velcro my boots. This boot is not so easy and you kind of have to twist your leg to reach your arms around to close the boot. The only other thing I would have expected at this price range that is missing is some sort of protection for the angle on the inside of the foot. There is a hard round pad for the outside but nothing on the inside. All my other boots that are less(even half the price) have protection on both sides. So those are my only gripes. Ive been riding with this boot in some really hot weather and my feet dont come out sweaty when I take them off which is really nice. So I guess they do breathe pretty well. I plan on riding with these boots into the winter so I expect them to be my year round riding boots now. July 7, 2014
Bavarian slush, Italian winters, and SoCal sprinkles - five years and still going. I've had these boots for over five years and they continue to impress. These are my go-to boots when it's raining or cold out. I've worn these boots while cutting through slushy snow in southeastern Germany, while riding through puddles of water about eight inches deep in Italy, and through countless rainstorms. As long as the rain liner of your pants go over these boots, your feet will not get wet. Period. The fastening strap still works like a champ and the leather feels great with minimal care. Rinse 'em off every once in a while and you're all set. I find it interesting that folks actually rate the air flow anything over a "one". These are rain boots, there is no "air flow" to speak of. Yes there's GORE-TEX, but it doesn't breathe all THAT well. Not designed for summer wear, but if you don't mind sweaty feet, go for it! July 4, 2014
great product Workmanship and materials outstanding. Comfort, breatheability, waterproofing all as stated. No break in required, obvious quality June 16, 2014
this boot is very comfortable Excellent fit with top quality construction. should last a long time. May 5, 2014
Wore these Sidi Canyon boots for the first time on the way to the BMW MOA of Georgia's Mountain Rally. Left Florida in the rain. 5 hours in the rain from NE Florida on the way to the BMW MOA Georgia Mountain Rally to Hiawassee, Ga. and my feet stayed dry. Also did a lot of walking with boots that hadn't been broken in and they wore like an old pair of boots. The ratchet buckles tighten the boot securely and the boots fit under straight leg jeans. I'm happy with these boots. Robb May 5, 2014
Even Better Than What I Expected I was very amazed. I couldn't find any local shops that carried these boots in stock. They told me I would have to order them and if I decided I didn't want them I would have to pay a restock fee. Thanks to Revzillas one free return policy I knew I could just go ahead and order these through Revzilla. The size fit perfect. They feel so nice. Even though they are kind of stiff for the protection you can still hike or run in them. I have orthodic insoles that I get made with my doctor. I insert them in all my boots. It makes it a lot more comfortable. I have tried a lot of different boots. I love the way my Harley boots look but they are so uncomfortable. The SIDI Canyon boots are real nice. They are just as comfortable as my GoreTex Combat Boots. Definitely buy these boots. April 14, 2014
Favorite Boot Not a fan of the boot buying process. Buy, try, return. Buy, try, return... Rinse, repeat. Bull. These boots have thankfully and mercifully put an end to that as I'll never own anything but the Canyon again. From fit to functionality these boots deliver. My foot's a tad wide which often throws a wrench into the fitting works. These are ideal in the heel, footbed and toebox. After two days of riding with a little walking they feel like old friends. The sole is a real plus as they spend a good amount of time away from pavement. Worn with KLIM socks, ventilation is as good as can be with leather/Goretex. They're easily put on and taken off with the very positive single buckle and are solidly waterproof. Being a function-over-form guy these things not only hit a home run with features, but they also look good doing it. April 14, 2014

AlecMyrddyn: Sidi may say "no", but many Canyon owners on ADVRider have had success bringing their boots to an experienced cobbler and having Vibram replacement soles installed. Apr 12, 2013

Fletch9871: I have the Sidi Onroad which has an identical sole. I had mine resoled for $55.00 by a local shoe shop. They basically grind off most of the existing sole and bond a new Vibrame sole to the boot. 15,000 miles on the new soles and they're still good to go. I'm guessing the Vibram sole will conservatively last twice as long as the originals. Aug 29, 2011

Tango: Yes they can. If you can't find a local cobbler with the right sole, contact "Motonation" direct. They are the importers for the Sidi line. Nov 29, 2011

nopkle: Although Sidi may not offer resoling, a good cobbler can resole the Canyons with a quality vibram sole - cost ~$50. Aug 22, 2011

Gavin D asked: How does this boot compare, fit-wise to the Alpinestars Scout WP boot? I was able to try on a size 10 in the Alpinestars boot and it fit OK; maybe a bit loose in the heel.

Thanks very much!

Gary H: To me the Sidis run a little small. I should have went up another size. I wear 10 1/2 US and bought a 44 (as recommended by Revzilla) and should have bought a 45. I have to wear thin socks with mine. the toe box is a little snug. Don't let this dissuade you from purchasing the boots. I really like the boots. If I had the extra cash I would purchase 45's and keep both pair. Feb 18, 2014

Robert M: Hi Gavin, the Alpine Stars were a bit narrow for me. The Sidi's give a little more room in the toe box yet no heel slipping.
I love my Sidi's. I've been to Alaska & to Nova Scotia both from Colorado. They keep me dry and warm.
Hope this helps
Good luck,
Bob

Nick D: Hey,
I have the 9.5/43 boots and they fit great and protection is amazing.
I dropped my k1200s and ended up with rt ankle between curb and under the bike's entire weight. It would of crushed my ankle in any other style I had researched. Do not ride without them.

Ron P: Gavin,
I've had the Sidi Canyon for 2 years now. They fit true to size but I find then a bit narrow. I usually have no problem with boot width so they might be on the skinny side. Hope this helps

A shopper asked: How tall are these boots? Considering these or the On Road but I feel they are a little tall (14 in.?) for me.
Thank you

Paul D: I have size 8 Men's boots and from the floor to the back of the boot is 11" at the back and about 12" at the front. The heel is about 1.5", so the boot on comes up about 10" up your leg. I'm about 5'7" tall, so I'm no giant, but these boots have been part of my regular gear for two years now.

I just came back from an 8 day trip covering about 3,800 kms (sorry - Canadian!) and I wore the boots all day, everyday riding a BMW R1200RT. The were very comfortable and never too hot or too cold. We had one day of solid rain and these boots kept my feet 100% dry. Gortex is worth the cost and is fully waterproof. I have not been disappointed in these boots and they are also pretty comfortable for just walking around in too.

Ed G: I have had these boots for close to 2 years and use them strictly for on road. They are very comfortable riding and walking. Look nice enough that you can wear them to dinner and no one will say anything. I wear motocross boots when off road riding so I'm used to a higher boot. The height of these has never bothered me. Highly recommend them. Jul 6, 2014
