Shoei CX-1V Pinlock Antifog Faceshield 4.6 5 15 15
does exactly what it said it would. My Shoei RF1000 has always fogged the second the visor was closed. I've had to leave it cracked open a bit, I installed the pinlock and I can't get it to fog even if I try. Worth every penny. April 15, 2013
Works as advertised. I purchased this shield for my Shoei RF1000 once I found out that it was available with Pinlock. You must also purchase the Pinlock lens to complete the system. Winter riding always causes fogging of the shield in my area. With the Pinlock shield and lens there is no fogging. Period. Like magic! Peripheral vision is somewhat compromised on the sides but not a real issue compared to the fogging problem. I found that I had to rotate the pins to install the shield with an airtight seal. The pins have a cam which facilitates this. I recommend watching the video for lens installation on the shield. February 18, 2013
No Fog Product did exactly as described and even when I am stopped, there is absolutely no fog. February 11, 2013
Seems to work Haven't had an opportunity to take this shield on a long ride yet . Preliminary testing, however, indicate this is works well. Certainly much better than the sprays, wipes, mists, clothes, and voodoo talismans I have tried so far. Since there really isn't anything else to try and everything else I've tried simply doesn't work then this is the ticket. February 4, 2013
Good Bang for the buck The pinlock face shield worked well, I would recommend it to combat fogginh. It worked great even in 40 degree weather. The only issue was losing a slight amount of peripheral vision, but it was nothing to effect riding ability, January 14, 2013
Awesome In a word, awesome, pinlock is the way to go. I have been using this system for the past month and I don't know how I ever got along without it. The first time I used it, during my 30min ride to work, the conditions were perfect to test it, foggy from all the rain with a temp of 35 F. My mirrors were unusable from all the moisture, it was rolling off my windscreen, but the face-shield never once fogged up or gave me reason to crack or flip it open; even while stopped. I had some concern over using it at night, it is unavoidable to ride at night this time of year. Although I had some very slight ghosting from car headlights it was NO issue at all. It is far better than the same glare through a fogged face-shield. I did take my time to get this set up perfect and I think it makes a difference when having to look through two layers of plastic. One major, added benefit is the fact that I no longer have to ride with the face-shield cracked to clear it, blowing clod air on my face in the process, much, much more comfortable. I am going to try adding a pic, (cell-phone), of when I got to work that morning, this is after about ten minutes inside. You can clearly see that even though the top is clearing, it did its job well. It was a somewhat expensive option for the shield and the lens but I highly recommend this, it is well worth the money. This reduces fog up greatly. The pinlock shield is shoie good never had a problem with quality. May 7, 2012
Indispensable for winter riding Works great! The edge of the lens is a tad distracting at first but I've been very pleased with the performance. No more flipping up the visor at stop lights to clear things up. January 16, 2012

Answer:
The Pinlock Protec Tint lens is not currently available in the US for the Shoei CX1-V Shield. As an alternative you may consider looking at the Fogcity Hyper Optiks Visor Inserts or the e-Tint MX-8 Electronic Tinting Faceshield Insert.
