Great helmet. I do not like paying the high price but WHAT IS YOUR HEAD WORHT? Aria does not fit my head. Shoei is always a perfect fit for me.

Once I got the right size (even after trying on exactly the same helmet in a local store, I still ordered one size too large - my bad, RevZilla good) this helmet fits perfectly. Something about helmets, I guess you have to find the brand that matches the shape of your head, I know most other brands don't fit mine.
Sure it's a lot of money, but I'd rather work a few extra weekend shifts so I can afford to protect my head, than spend the rest of my life drooling on myself from the sidelines.

Please don't let price dictate your your helmet purchase. This is by far the most comfortable helmet I have owned. I have been a wearer of Shoei helmets since the early 1980's and this is my favorite so far. Great field of vision, simple vent operation, excellent shield.

After reading other reviews on this helmet I was convinced this was the helmet I wanted. I wasn't let down, Great fit, light, very little flutter from the visor and great looks.

this is my first endro helmet, it took a little getting used to the difference with a street helmet, the wind on the highway blowing my head around when Idid a shoulder check took me by surprise! But I am used to it now and loving it! Very comfortable right out of the box, I love the fact I can put the visor down when I have goggles on. Great helmet , just wish it was cheaper!
I recommend it.

This is a great helmet for adventure style riding. It fits great, has a great field of vision, and is quiet. The only very minor complaint is that the flat black color is exceptionally hard to keep clean. Love it otherwise!

Have been using this brain bucket for a few weeks in all conditions. Very good fit, good dual purpose helmet but a little heavy for serious baha riding. Overall though I'm real happy with it for road riding.

I just tried the Arai XD3 in an XL and it was much too narrow for my head. I have a round to earth shaped head and I wear an Arai Ram III helmet in an XL which fits very comfortably. I was wondering if the Shoei Hornet in an XL or 2XL fit a round head that won't fit into an Arai XD3.

Answer: 
I wear an XL and my head is shaped like an alien, round up high. Its hard for me to get a good fit. I have had this Shoei for a month and its excellent. No headaches or sore ears, but tight enough not to move around.

Answer: 
From my experience arai helmets don't fit me very well, however I own two shoei helmets (including the hornet) and it fits perfect. I would consider a shoei xl because I had the same issue with the arai xd3 where it was too narrow for my head whereas the shoei does not press against my forehead or anywhere else for that matter.
