Shinko 712 Rear Tires
this tire is very good.
The tire was a heck of a lot cheaper then the tire i had. Have heard some good things about this company, lets see if they are true.

Wider than Advertised
I haven't ridden on this, yet, so this is really only a partial review. Just wanted to note here for future buyers that these run wider than the size suggests. I got a 130/90 R16, but measuring it in person, it's actually a 138 width. For many that may not matter. For my bike, that means it doesn't fit :( Just something to keep in mind!

Haven't gotten too many miles (only about 3000 on it yet, but has good feel, and i can't find anything negative to say about it. I will deffinitely buy this tire again.

good dry grip, normal tread life
I put this tire on my 1989 CBR 600,
it was a budget buy as my last tire went flat do to a nail.
grip was fine, didn't do much wet weather riding on it.
mostly just straight line riding on the freeway doing 75mph.
It lasted about 6k miles. then it was pretty much bald, not down to the wire, but zero tread depth.
I didn't attempt to get my knee down at all, did drive a little aggressive around some back roads. never lacked grip.
for the price, it was great.
I believe a more expensive tire would grip better knee dragers or be harder and last longer.
either way, I was happy with it.

Excellent choice of tire
This is my third Shinko rear tire on my Moto Guzzi. I thought at first I'd buy them cause they are inexpensive. But, after riding with them for a while I can say that they are better than the Bridgestone BT-45's and almost as good as the Pirelli Sport Demons for dry handling. Why this tire instead of the Sport Demon? Cost and it lasts longer. I only got 6k miles on the Pirelli and I get 8-9k miles out of the Shinko.
I have to admit to not riding in the rain much, but, the few times I have the Shinko has done well. The reason I marked it as average in the wet is just lack of experience with them in the rain.
I am not a hard rider, but, the Shinko grips well enough to leave no 'chicken strip'. Worn all the way to the edges.
It is the BEST value for the money out there.
