Great tire for the money. This is my 2nd rear Shinko 712 for my '76 Goldwing. The one it replaced got 12,000 miles and the front Shinko 712 also has 12,000 miles but doesn't need replacement yet. I try not to ride in rain much so most riding is on dry pavement and it has good grip for the mileage. April 22, 2013
It's round and black Probably early days to be reviewing this tire, however, I will make a go of it. Round? Chekk Black? Check Hold air? Check Has tread Check Inexpensive Check? I'm satisfied. I ride a VStrom entirely on road and while I've only ridden a couple hundred miles with it so far I like it better than the Bridgestone that was on it based on the days I've ridden in the wet. Face it - if you are reading this review you want someone to say it's ok to buy and inexpensive tire. Based on the commuting and tag grabbing I do it works great. If you're riding the IBR or going to Prudoe Bay I would think twice about this tire. If you're not - well - it's round and black. April 1, 2013
great for the price i just put a set on my kz550 ltd and they look good and ride nice. tread life i havent bin able to put that many miles on them yet so we will see. but you cant bet the price. March 12, 2013
Good tire even better price. I used to run with Metzelers, Dunlops and Continentals years ago because I felt Chinese made tires just didn't have good quality or design. Things have changed since then. I'm leaning towards Shinkos now, price was what drew me in. Tire compound is medium/hard and traction is good. Tires are your life, you have to trust them, but that doesn't mean spending $150 per tire. The tires work great for me but it's too early tell how long they last. November 28, 2012
This tire is awesome. However, Shinko 712 has great features, nice and deep tread, good looking, long lasting tread life, affordable price. Unfortunately, It doesn't come in 21 rim size November 27, 2012
Cheap and well-made tyre. The rear tyre, from my experience so far, is of an exceptional value. Incidentally, this is also the cheapest tyre I could find anywhere. My opinion may change as I ride, but so far I have nothing but good things to say. October 29, 2012
Good Product, GREAT Price I am in the process of rebuilding a rat rod I just purchased. I am out of money, but this was one of the few parts I knew I needed. It was early getting here, and exactly what I ordered. September 3, 2012
Seems a great value so far Very inexpensive. Only 500 miles so far. I'm only a commuter so I don't have demanding expectations or stringent standards to meet, but the tire leaves nothing wanting on Vegas concrete and asphalt and the medium twisties over the pass on my way to work near Pahrump.
