Purchased this jacket for a winter coat. I live in southern New Mexico so I didn't think a full on winter jacket was necessary. Using both liners provides enough insulation for a comfortable ride. The only drawback I have found is that the collar is just a bit drafty. The fit and style are outstanding.

This jacket is wonderful if your looking for a protective, stylish jacket for dry weather. The exterior is holding up well but the attachments for the waterproof & windproof liner aren't but I can live with that. Air flow is decent as long as your moving. I wear this jacket all summer, I love it, by far my favorite jacket & I've tried a lot of different brands.
Now for the reality. On 8/15/11, a day of record rainfall, I traveled from Maine to New York, approximately six hours. My Rev'it Zenith H2o gloves acted as a sponge although with my heated grips my hands stayed warm for the first few hours. The gloves were soaked within an hour of the ride & I have Barkbusters for some protection. Love these gloves but they sucked in the rain. This led to all that water entering the sleeve of my Ignition Jacket which led to a soak & wet liner. The liner held up for a couple of hours of pouring down rain but ended up being hammered by the end of the trip. I so wish it had held up to the water test but alas, I never want to be caught in extended down pours in this setup. A ride of a hour or so in the rain is fine but a real down pour & your done for. On a side note, the seat of my BMW Streetguard 2 pants were wet too.
Does gear exist that can withstand three plus hours of rain? I'm not sure but I'd like to find a nice Rev'it setup!
Sizing, I'm 5'7" & 140 pounds, athletic build,long arms, broad shoulders, fuller chest area. The jacket fits although cut more for a smaller chest on top. I ended up with a size 40 because it fits well with just tshirts. If you want to wear layers I would have gone to the 42 although the 42 rode up when in a sitting position. In this photo I have a heavy weight polarfleece under the jacket for the cool morning ride without the liners.

Just got this jacket yesterday, and the fit couldn't be better - like it was tailored specifically for me! Even with the both layers in it and an upgraded back armor piece, the fit was snug enough so that I know it wouldn't move in the event of an off, but not snug enough that I think it would annoy me after hours and hours of riding. With a warm base layer on underneath I think it will keep my riding comfortably in 36-40 degree weather (my personal limit). The only area that I think I'll need to break in the leather at all is in the collar at the front of my throat.
Can't wait to wear this as my go-to jacket and update my review as I break it in!

LOVE this Jacket!

Love the styling of this jacket along with the fit. I've got long arms & this jacket fits wonderfully. Designed for a woman's figure. Back armor isn't what I had hoped for but it's replaceable. Haven't been caught in a big storm yet so I'll check back in with that report. I'm a size 10, 5'7' & the 40 was perfect. Mabe tight if your large chested but will work well if you have long arms & torso with wide shoulders.
Pros Rugged, Fashionable, Comfortable

Love my jacket! It actually fits a women that has some shape unlike MANY i've tried. Only thing i've found is the sleeves are a little long but that's probably just me. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements.  REV'IT! sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
