REV'IT! Dragon Jacket

Fantastic Jacket

Depending on your build, I'm 5'6" 155 stocky and I needed a large where I usually wear medium. The jacket is great, water tight, plenty of pockets and not too bad in the hot.

Great Jacket...

Go with the suggested fit guidleines from Revzilla. Spent a lot of time shopping around and trying on jackets - wasn't willing to spend $700 on a BMW labelled "Rally" jacket, and although their quality is first rate, the Rev'it Dragon is easily comparible - and quite honestly a better fit! Got the Sand pants to go with this jacket and couldn't be happier. I live in a northern New England not too far from Canada and the jacket is plenty warm for me right down to the 30's! Haven't had a chance to ride in much heat, but suspect it will breath nicely. Delivery was very effecient. Would highly recommend this product and the Rev'it brand to anyone looking for an all around ADV/touring jack.

Great Jacket

The Rev'It Dragon jacket is a great value. Its three-layer system should make it great for 3 or 4 season riding. Without the inside layers, the shell is roomy enough to fit your own layers underneath and light enough for warm weather riding. As a shorter rider, I found the XS size to fit perfectly and snugly.

damm nice 3/4 ride coat,,I am glad i got to try on 3 diffewrent coats when I was at Revzilla,,and that is what sold me on the Revit,,over the others.i would like to see them work on making a better snap for the collar though

Good jacket

After measuring myself carefully, and getting some advice from the salesperson, I ordered a size larger than I would typically get. I have been pleased with the fit and features of the jacket.

Just received this jacket and have nothing but good things to say about it.

The construction is top-notch. I've been looking at jackets for awhile and most other brands pale in comparison to Rev'It, especially at this price-point or even higher. This thing oozes quality.

Great versatility with the detachable liner and insulating layer, and I like the well-thought out features without going overboard with bells and whistles. It's a good, solid jacket that with just the right amount of everything. The only thing I wish it had (as a previous reviewer stated) is an exterior chest pocket.

I also upgraded with the Knox back protector and feel this jacket can handle almost anything I might throw at it.

I love the understated style with the discreet logos. It's nice to have a moto company realise they don't have to plaster your front and back with their labels for the world to see.

Props also to the Revzilla team for their help with sizing questions.

Great 3- or 4-season jacket

I bought the high-viz yellow jacket, and love having the extra edge of better visibility. More manufacturers should offer this feature.

I've not tried this in warmer weather yet, but it looks to be about as well ventilated as a textile jacket can be without being a mesh. I do plan on using this as my primary jacket, only using my Rev’it mesh jacket on really, really warm days.

But here in a cold Minnesota spring (it was 28 degrees F on the ride in this morning), the jacket is toasty warm. I love the removable liner, which looks really sharp as a jacket you can wear by itself. This is a great feature of the Dragon jacket and was a primary reason for me buying it. It has flaps that cover the zippers that attach the liner to the interior of the outer jacket, so it hides the fact that it’s a liner.

The jacket has three layers: outer textile, inner waterproof liner, and thermal liner. When you wear the waterproof and thermal liner together, you have a very warm jacket, with a zippered interior chest pocket on the left side – very nice. It’s not warm enough to be a winter jacket where I live … but almost!

Both interior and exterior jackets have very comfortable collars, which is a great plus not always found in MC jackets. The outer jacket collar is especially nice: it’s padded, rather high, and adjustable. It’s high enough that it keeps you very warm without using a balaclava.

The other reason I love this jacket is its superior craftsmanship and design. I’ve never been disappointed by the quality of manufacture in the Rev’it line. (I also own a pair of Rev'it mesh pants and jacket, and two pairs of Rev'it gloves.)

Speaking of Rev'it clothing, in general, they fit about one size smaller. I have found this to be true in Rev'it pants, too. That is, if you normally take a large, buy an extra large in the Rev'it line. (I hope that this is the correct definition of "Fits one size smaller -- the terminology is not clear.)

For the next generation of the Dragon jacket, I'd love to see a small chest-level pocket on the outer jacket for a cell phone, sunglasses, etc. The side pockets are large, but very inconvenient to see and to get at, especially if you’re wearing a full-face helmet.

That’s really the only downside of this jacket, otherwise I’d give it 5 stars.

This jacket rocks!

I preordered the Dragon on the advice of Matt, so I guess I got the first one. This jacket simply rocks. Great quality and real four season use for 3 bills!!! I'm going to burn my AST for firewood. :)
