REV'IT! Air Jacket

Excellent Jacket!

A great jacket but these Europeans have different body shapes.... I normally take an XL and a 3XL JUST fits me across the shoulders. Also the sleeves are very long (better than too short). I do not have big arms, and so the sleeve circumference fits me fine. If you have big arms check again. Make is great, style is great! Overal I am happy but fit could very definitely be tailored more for US market.

Great Value!

I like how this jacket fits and looks. The backpadding is a little uncomfortable but easily forgotten. The jacket breathes very well in hot weather, but its not recommended for temperatures under the 60's. The button on the neck can be a bit bothersome at times and i'm not a fan of the velcro straps on the wrists, i'd rather have buttons but having the velcro makes it more flexible. Overall a great jacket for its price.

REV'IT Air Jacket

Great jacket but as other reviews say it's best to order one size larger than you would normally wear.
I'm 5'9" 160lbs. and had to exchange the Med. for a Lg. which is just right. I must say that Revzilla's customer service is excellent. Nice to be able to talk to a real person. No hassle exchange and fast shipping. Thank you Revzilla.

Great Summer Jacket

Just finished my first summer is Los Angeles with this Jacket. Looks awesome, very well vented. Just make sure to buy one size larger like everybody says. I'm 6'1" about 185 lbs and the XL fits well. I could probably gain 10 or 15 lbs and still be comfortable.

I wear it when it's simply too hot to wear leather. Put a wet t-shirt underneath to stay extra cool.

Good Summer Jacket With Some Quirks.

Tried to review this before...let's try again. I've rode with this jacket over the summer and can remember when denim was the only option - was it hot! Otherwise you looked like you walked off the race circuit. Rev-it has come out with a good looking, functional jacket at a competitvie price.
Pros:
1) Allows the most air to flow through of any jacket I've tried. You will get cold in a t-shirt with this jacket when the temp is below 65F.
2) CE rated protection inspires confidence for such a light weight jacket.
3) Good looking jacket with light colors to improve daytime visibility and reflect the heat also has a great range of motion.
4) This jacket feels well made with top quality material.
Cons:
1) Rediculously large "Rev-it" logo on the back.
2) Zipper on the wrong side "Ladies side", can't believe this one, how could the marketing team at Rev-it miss this one for their male U.S. customers?
3) Pocket zippers are too small to manipulate with summer gloves...forget about taking a quick peak at a map during a stop light...better pull over.
4) Back protector is an after thought. Should upgrade to CE rated Knox back protector.
5) Very little night time reflective surfaces
6) Needs a waterproof liner to protect against sudden summer rain storms and to stretch out the riding season into the spring/fall.
7) Would prefer an large pocket inside to carry extra visor (I've seen it else where and allows you switch to clear for evening rides)

Overall this jacket is the best I had tried and I would buy it again, but it's really meant for the hotest of days. It runs small so size up if your in between sizes. Overall, I give Rev-it top marks for putting together a well made summer jacket, but it's not perfect.

Great affordable summer protection that looks good

Had to get a 4XL on this one so that it'll keep some air flowing underneath it. As with all REV'IT jackets, they run much smaller (my winter jacket is a 3XL Shade).
Good styling, get the gray one so that you don't become a solar beacon/bacon.
Would prefer the forarm velcro straps be zippers though.

Great jacket for the hot weather. Buy 1 size bigger for a good fit.

Great look and fit, ok protection

Super comfy, looks great - sort of like a super-technical softshell jacket. With a Marmot windbreaker shirt underneath, this thing is good down to the low 60's at least. Flows a bunch of air.

I'm 6'1 and 185lbs - broad shoulders, thin arms. I got an XL, usually on the border between M and L. The XL fits great in the shoulders, and though there's a little extra fabric around the chest, I wouldn't exchange it for a smaller size.

Protection seems ok - we'll see next time I crash ;) The elbow/shoulder padding is high quality, but might move around. Not sure how well the cordura on the arms will hold up, it feels a little thinner than my other textile jackets. Still one of the most protective mesh jackets I've ever seen though.

Awesome looks, takes the heat

Even better than it looks. Super construction, rugged. Zipper a little weird, is on the opposite side for guys. Cuffs can accomodate everone from the large to the small wristed. Size up -- I am 5'10", 165 lbs, wear medium everything EXCEPT for this jacket. I got it in a Large and it fits great. Armor feels solid and doesn't shift. Jacket can take the heat and humidity -- first ride was in 86 degree weather w/90% humidity and I felt great. A little pricey at $189, but like an decent riding equipment, well worth it.
