The tires now have about 1,000 miles on them.
The grip is night and day compared to the old dunlops but that was expected.

During a 300 mile trip, on the expressway, I was forced to ride about half of that in wet conditions. About 10 miles was in the rain and the balance was wet roads...some very wet.

The bike handled very well on wet roads, and in the rain with the tires. It handles very well on dry roads. Riding temps so far 55-93 degrees so I cannot comment on very cold conditions yet or longevity.

My goal was to have a safe ride and I believe the tires provide that.

Awesome tire for the price!
I would rate this tire as comparable to the tire that Harley uses as standard equipment. But, thru Revzilla, the Pirelli tire is half the cost! I live in Central Florida and my bike is my only transportation. So, I've had the chance to test it in the rain on several occasions, and I'm very satisfied with it's performance. I recently replaced the front tire with one from the same line and have the same experience.

Grip Monsters!
Pirelli Night Dragon's are Premium tires. This is my second set and I'm really happy with them. These tires are grip monsters. Dual compound, great in the rain, look awesome, handle awesome. I get around 7000 miles from a set. That's on a 700+ pound Harley, that I ride hard, and I can really lean into a turn. Highly recommended!

Great tire
I have a set of these on my 2009 Indian Roadmaster. This is a big bike. I race a ZX6 and my other street bike is a 1198S. Why is this important? Because I sometimes get on the Indian and forget it is not a sport bike. The tires make it happen. I know the tires may not last as long, but at the end of the day I buy motorcycle tires to grip the road, not last a long time. I am in CO so my wet experience on them is limited, but so far so good.

Awesome Tires
I put these on my Dyna Wide Glide after the stockers were done. These are great shoes! Turn in is very quick, and these grip like crazy. I don't know for myself, but I'm told that they will wear faster than the stockers or even the Commander 2's, but it's well worth it for me. I ride fairly aggressively and like to use the "whole" tire. These are very confidence inspiring. Haven't had the chance to use them in the wet and probably won't. I live in central California. These tires were cheaper here than anywhere else, but I still had to get them mounted. Take that into consideration when you buy.

Good tires for half the price Harley wanted
It may just be the pricing at Revzilla, but these tires were nearly half the cost of what my local Harley dealer wanted. I haven't had them long enough to really evaluate tread life but everything else was what I would expect from a Perreli tire.

Great tires at an affordable price
These tires are great. Granted I'm comparing them to the only other pair of tires I've had, which were a worn set of Metzeler ME 880 Marathon tires. They have great grip that I have gone over dirt, gravel, and some lightly wet roads and it handled great in all conditions. As proof of the grip they get nice and loudly squeaky when turning my tire on the garage floor. I also think the tires look good. While I feel the tires tracking cracks and what not, I don't have enough experience to compare to other tires (they track about the same as my old Metzelers).

Amazing Tire
I am active duty military stationed in Italy. The roads are quite slick when it rains, almost like riding on ice. These tires grip like no other. i am on my 3rd set now and untill i come back stateside, i will not use another brand. The only downfall to these tires is the life. I ride quite a bit and the mountain roads here are quite aggressive, so i am only able to get 5000 miles out of these tires due to their soft compound. however as any true rider will say, "never put price over safety..."

Fantastic
I replaced stock Dunlops on my Fatboy. It was like riding a new bike. Grip and handling was fantastic. I have about 7000 miles and tires still look good. I have not ridden in the rain.

Ran a lot of brands, so far Avon has beat them all so I hear alot of good with Pirelli. Let's see how it goes on a 5500 mile trip first week of June. Sold Pirelli pickup and car tires for years and no problems.
Robert B on Mar 27, 2016
After reading reviews on a lot of different sites and speaking with a gear geek, I narrowed my tires choices for my custom 94 magna (that's putting down about 100hp) down to this and the commander ii. I believe I will get better performance with these Pirelli's while still getting enough mileage out of them to not be an issue. I also slightly prefer the tread design to the commander.
Mitchell S on Mar 2, 2016
The grip sounds like its the best of all the reviews I read.

Would buy I for my HD. This is my second tired for rear 7500 mile tread is low...replace for low tread only

Just wore out my first set of tires, and wanted something a little stickier for my Lowrider, and after reading the reviews for several different tires, I decided to give these a try. High ratings for performance and traction... not to mention I was able to get both the front and rear tires for just a tad more than the HD dealership was going to charge me for just a rear Michelin Scorcher :)
JOHN C on Jan 3, 2016
Based on Perelli race technology these tires have a "Dual Radius" design giving me about 8% greater contact patch on the front tire and 10% greater patch on the rear tire. Also the tires transition from the center to the edge very smoothly and I like that for cornering. Put a full dynamic spin balance on the wheels and the tires feel great on the road. Providing me a level of confidence greater than the Dunlop Elites I was using previously.

can i put this tire on my 2008 harley dyna fxdc without any modifications?
A shopper on Mar 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Mine fit on my 2007 FXDSE CVO although the 170 rear is standard on my bike. I would contact your dealer to make sure.
Excellent tires though.
I am looking for a good tire set for rain for a 2014 Speedmaster. I wanted to go wide and I am looking for a 200/70 or 80/15. The speedmaster is a lightweight cruiser. Is this the tire you would recommend or do you have a better option? Again, I am looking for a great rain tire!
A shopper on Jan 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I haven't ridden these in the rain. I've ridden on wet roads from heavy fog and mist, but no rain. These are BY FAR the stickiest tires I've ever run. With science being what it is, you have have just as much traction in the rain after the road grime is washed away as you do in the dry. I'd personally go to like a BMW R1200 GS forum and snoop around for what those guys are running in the rain. Hope this helps.
Would this tire be appropriate for 500lb naked bike that wants good perf. in the twisties?
Or would a Pirella Angel GT or Michelin Road Pilot 4 be more dialed in for that weight of bike?
A S on Oct 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The dragon is all I run but the are probably not what you want for twisties until the have a few miles on them
I have a Ducati Streetfighter 848 which runs a 180/60/17 rear tire. Am i crazy considering the Night Dragon? I want to stay with that size tire, just wanted to get more life out of my tire. I am currently running a Rosso 2. Any thoughts?
A shopper on Jun 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: thanks for the input, do you ride a sport bike, cause that's what i was referring to?

what is the life expectancy?
A shopper on Jan 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My rear is almost like a slick after 7,000 miles. Don't know what average is for a motorcycle tires, but I did expect a bit more than that. My front is still good. I ride a Suzuki C90.
Hello, I was wondering if these tyres would be good for a ninja 300 2013 model? I ride aggressively and do lean quite a lot on the bike.
A shopper on Jun 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have them on a BMW K1300S and love them.
