A solid 70/30 tire
This is the stock OE tire for my KTM 950 ADV and I really enjoy its consistency. Running new front/rears now - with a new set you get a little bit of knobby vibration but only around 70-80mph for me.
These are fantastic all-rounders - I find their grip consistent and predictable both on and off road. There's great bite on gravel and dirt for me to feel confident on the heavy KTM, this is my preferred setup even when i ride more 90/10 than 70/30 - the benefits off road are worth every bit!

Good Tire
These are good tires. They came as standard equipment on KTM 990's in 2012. They are OK on a gravel road, good on the pavement in wet or dry. I just wish they would last a little longer. I get about 6000 miles out of a rear tire on my 990

More tar, less sand
After chewing through a TKC80 and a Karoo3 in 6000km on my 1190 R, I decided to give these a try.
On tar they feel a lot more planted.
They handle dry and wet tar very well, even when you decide to throw caution to the wind and drive over tar snakes, road marking and aquatic lakes on the road.
Tire heats up quite fast and handles throttle abuse, leaving only small black worms of rubber between the treads as evidence of your abusive right hand.

On dirt they handle quite well, loose sand up to a centimeter deep can be traversed easily, anything worse should be approached with caution. I had the front wash out when hitting such a patch. Deep mud should be avoided, the profile cakes up very easily.
They also soak up quite a bit of damage when going over rocks and ditches.

I would recommend these to riders who want something better than, let's say, the scorpion trail or TKC70.

Great grip on Tarmac
Went from TKC-80 to the MT-90AT. Much smoother road ride. No chance yet for off road evaluation. Grips exceptionally well in turns. KTM 1190 R much more stable on Tarmac.

Sticky tire for what it is
Ive had these tires on my 07 KTM 450 exc for the past 800mi. For not being a street only tire I was extremely surprised by how well they worked on pavement. Once you get them warm I found that they limits of grip were very high. Its a tire you can trust hitting sand and gravel mid corner, it's a tire that's very forgiving. On coarse gravel it rode weird tracking side to side but in any other setting they handled extremely well. I actually took it in really silty sand and though it did want to push a bit it didn't do too bad. Its not going to be perfect on the street or dirt, but all around I think you can't go wrong with it,

I bought these tires for my KTM 450 EXC when I had it. I was doing quite a bit of riding on the street which these were great for. Off road you definitely feel every rock and bump a bit more but they do surprisingly well. I typically just let a bit of air out right before trail riding and it helps a lot.

Pirelli has a solid history of creating solid products. Needed a 50/50 tire for my XT350. Over 5000 mile on these tire and still plenty of tread. Wet or dry pavement traction is outstanding. Off-road traction is on point for its propose. Great price for a solid tire!

Purchased these for my sons 2016 KTM 690 Enduro R. He wanted some tires for more pavement use for scooting around town. I already had the matching front so matched it up with a new rear. He says it handles much better on the pavement. Time will tell as far as mileage and how it performs on gravel and dirt but we will use knobbies anyway when the going gets rough.

Does anyone have experience with this tire and the Shinko 705s? How do they compare?
A S on Feb 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Can't speak to the Shinko, but the Pirelli MT90AT was amazing on the track. Ran it on a Husky TE630 with 21-inch front and 18 rear, and it stuck like glue. Tire boogies to the edge. Lots of confidence.
for the 90/90 21 what is difference between 54s and 54v tl?
A shopper on Sep 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The 54 is the load rating and the "s" and "v" are the speed rating. TL is tubeless.

See Revzilla's guide at http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle-tires-101-guide

You can also get more info on these rating codes from tire manufacturers.
