Nolan N43 Trilogy Outlaw Helmet (Size 2XL)
Love this helmet, the fit and features are fantastic! The helmet itself fits true to size, however the removable chinbar sits very close to the nose (worse if you have a bigger nose like me!).
Good news is, because of this complaint, Nolan changed the style of the chinbar for their N43E model. If you have or want a N43 Trilogy, Nolan sells the chinbar as a stand alone upgrade for only about $20, which also accepts the newly added chin curtain.
The only other comment, is the sunvisor, for me anyway, could go a little lower. But understand some comprises must be made so it fits every face.

Love the changeability
Great helmet. The airflow through it is exceptional .. cuts down on 'the fog factor'. The noise levels are much less than my old (1990 Schoei) helmet. The cost was more than I had thought I was willing to spend, but I'm glad I spent what I did, worth EVERY penny.
I would definitely recommend this 'blue-tooth' capable helmet.

for me the chin bar is not too close. I figured out how to attach the chin bar after i put on the helmet - huge plus!
unfortunately you need goggles at highway speed without the chin bar as it allows GREAT airflow. despite the internal visor its very light. more noisy than a ff/modular. but not too loud. the sun visor does not come down far enough which is a bummer, but i notified nolan. i use a tinted face shield in leui of that. changing the face shield for night riding is very easy. i'd go with the n43e vs this one if you really want to use the sun visor. otherwise this should go on sale as the new ones arrive. surprisingly this holds up well in rain at highway speeds even without the chin guard, no leaks, no wet face!

Good, but very different.
I bought this helmet to replace another helmet with an internal sun visor. The Nolan Outlaw is a good helmet, but is very different than any helmet I’ve owned and I’ve had plenty. First the good stuff. The visibility to the sides and downward is superb – better than any helmet I’ve ever worn. This is good for me since I ride in the city and am always watching out for sideswiping cars. Also, it runs very cool so I’d recommend it for warmer climates. The washable antimicrobial layer is also a plus. The chinbar is removable, but I would never ride without it. The bluetooth option seem like a nice feature, but is an expensive upgrade I haven't explored yet. Aerodynamics are solid with less buffeting than many helmets.
Now for the not so good. The outside visor has only 2 positions (all the way up or all the way down), which isn’t so good when you are fogging up and the helmets fogs quite easily. Secondly, the sun visor doesn’t come down very far and lands in the lower third of your vision unless you pivot the entire helmet awkwardly downward. Also, since the bottom of the helmet is so open it runs very cool and on cold nights on the freeway, it’s downright chilly so pack a balaclava. Lastly, it is very loud due to the open design. You should plan to ride with earplugs or headphones on the freeway.
All in all, I would recommend this to riders who want an open face helmet with the option of a little better protection or someone really concerned about visibility. Otherwise, I’d say go with a more conventional helmet with an internal sun visor

Just what I was looking for.
I normally ride with a full face modular but thought about getting an open face for summer to beat the heat. This helmet gives me the best of both worlds. While not quite as safe as a true full face helmet, it gives a little extra protection with the chin bar installed. When removed, the chin bar takes up very little room in my tank bag which makes changing it out easy.
The real standout features are the large viewport and light weight. Great peripheral vision and no neck strain after a long ride. It's almost like not wearing a helmet.
If I could change anything on this helmet it would be to add multiple positions for the shield. It does fog in the lower middle in cold weather and being able to crack the visor would be a nice option. That being said, it does have a small vent in the lower portion of the shield that does a decent job to keep the fogging from getting out of control.

Very nice functionality & better looking than expected
I am very happy with this helmet. The view is absolutely great and you feel like you have complete range of peripheral vision with this on, which is a great safety feature in my opinion. The helmet is well balanced, decent in weight, and fits true to size. The helmet looks better than I thought it would. Some of the plastic looks kind of flat-grey and cheap in the photos, but it looks better and has a higher quality feel to it in person. The Outlaw version is nice because there is just a black Nolan sticker on the back and a stick-on emblem in the front center instead of the huge Nolan logos they litter their other helmets with. The interior padding and components are all nice and well made. The fit was very true to size for me, and the shell of this helmet is not enormous like the Shark Evoline. The shell has a nice shape to it, with a nice crescent oblong shape from the front with a stylish crease down the middle and across the back over the vents. I ended up sending back the Shark Evoline I tried out and I am happier with this. The only things I would like improved are: The visor needs to be able to come down farther (this one is ok, especially for head-down sportbike riding, but it's average for line of sight interference). The chin strap has the nice easy to use micro adjustable feature, but the padding just isn't big enough or soft enough around it and it really jams into my neck. I'll just fix that up myself with some extra padding. The visor locks and sun shade mechanism could look a little better, but they function just fine, and are in line with the styling on other helmets in this class. So in conclusion, I think this is a great helmet in this price range, it looks a lot better in person than in the pictures, and the wide vision area and overall functionality is fantastic. Give it a try.

The video for this helmet - is not for this helmet!
The video is for the Nolan N43 Air (Europe only). The venting they rav about is not on this USA helmet.

Nolan Trilogy Outlaw helmet
Great all around helmet, good ventilation, very very very light, combined with great visibility...
Without the chinbar: I have to check to see if I have a helmet on !!
I don't know how it would be on the road, at speed, but for around town and short trips, very good.
Only complaint: I wear glasses and the tinted shield distorts my vision.
