On-The-Road Cover I like using this cover for when I'm mobile. When parked at home, my bike gets a full canvas cover. I carry this on my bike for when I need cover away from home. It packs small and covers enough of the bike so I won't have a soaking wet/scorching hot seat. July 27, 2015
Great portable cover It's a basic bikini style cover for a motorcycle - it works great though. Keeps the weather off the important stuff and doesn't rub on hot parts of the engine after a ride. The portability is great also so I can take it with me on longer trips. July 16, 2015
Works like sandpaper Took this lightweight option on a cross-country trip. Sorry I did, the fabric acts like sandpaper and left scratches all over the fairing of my Trophy. Also, the extra large was not large enough to cover the side bags and the elastic that secures to the foot pegs has already started to deteriorate and lose it's stretch. June 15, 2015
Quality of the product has improved from the last model The older style i had lasted a little over a year. It was thin and easy to stuff into the pouch and did its job. But after a year, it started becomming more duct tape then material. This newer one (silver outside, black inside) seems much better built. It is a thicker material. I could not stuff it into the original pouch mounted proving the material is a little thicker, But a little adjustment fixed that. I have it for 2 months now, and it is still holding strong, even the elastics are still elastic and not all stretched out. Down here in South Mississippi, covers are a need unless you want 1st degree burns on your bum. Good quality and product for the price, will buy again when this one wears out. June 15, 2015
Good Quality; Bike Protection can be Subjective The cover seems to have good build quality and certainly works as advertised. That is, it protects the bike from rain and sun. The trouble is that where the edges touch the bike I've gotten a whole bunch of little sand like scratches. I even get scratches with clean bike and clean cover. Where the cover goes over the back top case all is fine (just black non-polished plastic) but up front my bike's radiator out vents look like a brillow pad was run over the paint. I'd imagine with a different bike configuration where the cover edges aren't touching any painted areas of the bike, this cover would be great. It's just not great for me. May 6, 2015
Large fits 2014 KTM 1190r I'm not sure of the Durability as I have just gotten it but it seems to be made well. The main reason for the review is to let you know that the size large does fit a KTM 1190r. I'm not sure if it's big enough to cover the panniers (which are not in yet), but it does cover the cowling to the rear rack which is what I was looking for. I'll try to up load a picture when I get one. February 19, 2015
Better than expected I commute to work 5 days a week and my bike sits in the sun all day. I got this cover hoping that it slows down the fading of the anodized parts on my bike and the other damaging affects of the sun. I got a size medium to cover my 2013 ZX10R. Great fit on the bike, nice and snug like I had hoped. Easy to carry since it folds up nicely and it stores neatly in it's own bag. It doesn't even take a minute to put it on and it comes off just as easily. That is including taking it out of it's bag unfolding when I park and folding it back up to store it before I leave. It seems very durable. Hopefully it will last through another summer. I definitely feel it is worth getting. February 6, 2015
excellent protection though haven't tested in snow yet (thank goodness) We've been using these Half-covers for a few months now. They have Velcro straps that fasten under the front fender and loops for the footpegs (front and rear). We got the medium size to fit on our KTM 500 and Husky TE250, so not big bikes. The covers fit well though the footpeg loops need to stretch quite a bit (and they do) to reach the pegs but they do a good job of keeping the covers fitting tightly. Neither of our bikes have rear pegs so have no idea how those fit. In heavy rain and dew, there's been no dampness (rain or condensation) under the covers, nor frost. In winds up to 40mph, the covers have been fine! With our dirt bikes' high exhausts, we can't put the covers on until cool but that's not the covers' fault. We leave (empty) soft luggage on the bikes and the covers wrap around them well. Each cover comes in a fanny pack-style stuff bag if you use those, we don't but two covers in a compression bag are about the size of a softball; perhaps could be smaller but we don't have a smaller compression bag. I rated the Comfort section high because it's nice not to have frost or a wet seat in the morning. Style is high because the cover pattern is well fitted to the bikes even with hand guards and soft luggage. Protection and Durability is high due to the waterproofness and lasting in the winds. Air Flow is high due to no dampness underneath. Features is dinged one because every time I stretch the loops over the pegs it feels like they're going to break; I think a less stretchy but sturdier material would be better. Bang for the Buck is very good as the covers are much lighter, portable, non-condensing, and fitted than a cheap blue tarp with bungee. January 26, 2015

AJ S: This cover was chosen because of reading a number of feedbacks on the item. I have a full cover (different brand) and it is a real PITA trying to deal with it on the road. I hope to find a way to fasten this to the tail of the bike in some sort of rolled up permanent fashion that will allow the cover to be deployed and cover the bike in a few seconds and then just as easily rolled back up and tucked away in a pouch. That way it will always be with bike and easily used whenever needed. Jul 5, 2014

SAAVA: Check out the size chart. A sport bike under 750cc is a Medium and that is what I purchased for my FZ6. While seemingly a little tight at first, it loosened up and works perfectly for me. May 14, 2012

Chris K: As a general guideline, the MD will work for 750 and under, the LG for 1250 and under and the XL for anything over 1250, but obvious each bike is different depending on shape and possible accessories. Aug 5, 2011

William M. B: Carlos, the biggest one you can get. I have a 2011 R1200 RT with a top box. I bought the largest half-cover available. It fits, but just barely. It will cover your top box, but will only sit on the top of your panniers. Nice half-cover though! Hope that helps. William M. May 28, 2014

A shopper asked: How small does this pack down to? Give me an approximate reference like - the size of a water bottle or a hard-backed book :-) If I ordered the L, would it fit in my tank bag? May 21, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
William M. B: The Half Cover packs down more like a hard-backed book. It probably would not fit in a tank bag, unless you have a LARGE one. I pack mine in a Ziplock plastic bag, squeeze all of the air, and close the top. That way it is legal-paper sized but almost flat. I then carry it in my top box and it takes up very little space. Just a thought. Good luck. May 21, 2015

brian h: Perhaps not as small as a water bottle. Maybe the volume of two. You can compact it alot smaller than the bag it comes in. May 21, 2015

Juan Bernardo C: the pack its very small like a 16.9 fl oz water bottle. And i think its small enoough to fit your tank bag. May 21, 2015

Bob S: I bought the cover for my wife's F800ST BMW and the cover is a touch big for it but that's a good thing. I would think this would cover an 883 Iron with room to spare and that is preferable to too small. The cover is well made and has held up well. Mar 8, 2015

A shopper asked: Trying to decide on a Medium or Large for a stock 2001 Honda VFR800. The bike doesn't have any bags or panniers etc. Anyone have any advice? Sep 8, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Brian K: I purchased a large. I use it on both a K1300S (when the panniers are installed, it just covers the tops) and a TL1000R (without panniers). The TL1000R would be the closest to your application. It fits well over the front, with a little extra room in the back (side to side), but length-wise a good fit. You could probably get away with the medium, but the large isn't going to be all that bad of a fit. It would give you the option of bags if you later decide to add hard or soft bags to your bike. On both bikes, I have never had any problems with figment with respect to wind or rain. It does it's job well. I would have to mention, after about 3 years of use, the elastic straps have stretched slightly, but they still work to secure the cover to the bike. I am pleased with the cover and how compact it is vs another cover I have that packs much larger. Sep 12, 2014

Frank R: I bought an XL size and use it on my Triumph Sprint GT - it fits well. I'm able to get it over the side bags also, but not the trunk and side bags. The width is a bit tight over the bags. I think the length fits just about right. The cover has tie-down loops that go around your foot pegs to keep it from blowing off, and an adjustment strap (velcro) to tighten up the fit under the front/rear.

Not sure how much shorter a VFR is compared to the Sprint, but you should be able to find the measurements online somewhere.

A shopper asked: Nelson-Rigg UV-2000 Half Cover. What best size fits a DL650? Jun 18, 2011
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
ThatFixedIt: I have a size XL cover on a DL 650 with Jesse luggage (large square panniers), Givi V46 topcase (big one), and a tall windscreen (V-Stream). It is a tight fit, but covers everything. The foot peg straps just barely reach at max stretch. It fits more comfortably with just the top case; or with side bags but no topcase. Since I normally take the top case into the motel or tent and leave the Jesse pannier mounted, this works out well. WIth no luggage, it simply covers more of the back of the motorcycle. In all cases, the seat, tank bag, and electronics stay dry in wind and rain. I wouldn't want to try a smaller size with any topcase or side bags. Aug 8, 2011

ZepRider: A fully loaded DL650 with a 36 liter top case and 21 liter side cases requires and extra large cover. Larger luggage would mean less coverage around them but the important areas will be protected. Jun 20, 2011

William M. B: Probably the XL. I use it to cover my 2011 RT and 49L Givi Top Box. It's a tights fit and I have to put the windshield all the way down. Good luck! Nov 5, 2014

H Ross R: I have a large on my Vstrom DL1000. It is plenty long and goes from fender to fender. It is wide enough to cover the mirrors and "barkbuster" hand protectors. It is not however long enough to go over my Pelican Case panniers but I don't consider that a problem at all. Hope this helps. Jul 26, 2014
