Great rain suit. Just received my suit. Looks great, I ordered the HiViz. I am 5'10", 165lbs, and use 32" inseam. I am an ATGATT rider. I wear a medium for my mesh riding jacket with protectors and ordered the large. It fit perfectly. The length was perfect too over my riding boots. I had read on other reviews to order one size up great advise. Hope this helps. Wrote this review in hopes it helps others in ordering the correct size. Time and weather will tell if it works as intended. Haven't used in the rain, but appears to be very good quality. Came in a storage bag too. Price and quality appear to be great. June 22, 2015
Very good mid-range rain gear The Nelson-Rigg is definitely worth the price without breaking the bank. Brought it along for a 200 mile trip and plan on bringing it with me on a cross-country trip later this year. Stretches enough to go over all your riding gear and lets still move with ease. I'd recommend this to anybody that needs to pack rain gear for longer trips. June 22, 2015
Great rain gear for the price. Hoping I wasn't going to need it but it worked perfectly. Quick to get on and comfortable. The only reason I didn't give it all stars is because you can't mix the sizes unless you buy two. I needed a medium lower half with a large top because of my leather jacket. Fortunately I wasn't wearing the leather jacket when it rained so it fit perfect. Overall great product for the price. June 22, 2015
Great rain suit This suit keeps you dry. The reflector stripes really show up at night. What else can I say, I'm happy. Oh, one more thing, buy a size larger than you wear. I bought one that fits perfectly now I can't get on anymore close for the cooler temps. June 22, 2015
It works well This rain suit does protrect from the rain. Relatively easy to put on and remove. Pants have no outside pocket but it was easy to reach pants pocket through waist band. This suit is obviously on the lower price point end of the scale yet is more than functional. My only complaint is it could be more breathable. When I removed the suit after a wearing, there was a noticeable amount of perspiration build up. Almost defeated the purpose of keeping the rain out. June 13, 2015
Kept me dry Rain suit kept me dry during a 100 mile highway drive in nonstop rain. The hood felt good under my helmet and kept water off my neck. My wrists got a little wet because I was wearing short gloves, I'll use long gauntlet style rain gloves next time. Size medium fit perfect over my size 40 (us) leather jacket. My pant size is around 34 x 30 and the pants also fit good, they may be too short for taller people. I wish it came with a small storage case so it would fit in my bike better, other than that it is great. May 27, 2015
Bang for your Buck Exactly as advertised. This rain suit for the price is better than I have seen out there. I didn't want to spend $100s on something that I will hardly wear, but I must admit I can see myself rocking the jacket on a chilly morning. The style and quality is great. Extremely surpirsed!!! May 6, 2015
Great product for price Great product for the price. I don't make a practice of riding in the rain but it's good to know I have protection just in case. Quality item very glad I ordered it. I would recommend a size larger to fit over clothing. April 21, 2015

A shopper asked: What kind of pants front zipper is it. ? Velcro or nylon zipper ? Aug 12, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Robin B: Neither. They are simply an elastic waist (with drawstring), just like a pair of sweatpants. Please note that I found these pants to NOT stop any rain from seeping through. Jacket works fine, but my thighs were soaked after a light rain commute of 5 miles. Aug 13, 2013
Reply to Robin Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
David H: Neither. There is no opening in the pants front. The pants have an elastic waistband that is just pulled on. Zippered gussets are at the bottom on the legs to make it easier to put on and off with boots on. Aug 13, 2013

Michael T: The pants don't have any kind of front opening, just an elastic waistband. At the leg openings you do have zippers to help get the pant cuffs over your shoes. Aug 13, 2013

A shopper asked: How much space does this take when packed in a saddle bag? Apr 13, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Sergio S: Almost nothing. I would always have mine on my top case. The pants are about the size of one of those portable mini umbrellas when rolled up, the jacket about as much as a regular (compressed and neatly fold) sweater or less. Apr 13, 2015
Reply to Sergio Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Olaf K: It's fairly compact. I'm able to roll it up pretty tight, about the size of a large burrito. Apr 13, 2015

A shopper asked: How much space does the suit take-up when packed in a saddle bag? Apr 13, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
David H: It will fold up real small, maybe a couple inches on the bottom of a saddle bag. I keep mine in a 6 pack soft cooler & keep it with me while I mow the golf course fairways. I just hang it over the back of my seat. I even keep mowing while it is raining as I have yet to get wet. Apr 13, 2015

TOMASZ J: Not much. You can roll it up and it will take no more than two roll up tshirts Apr 13, 2015

A shopper asked: How is the fit of worn over riding gear? do I need to order one size bigger or is it sized to be worn over my exisiting gear. I wear a large Firstgear rush mesh jacket. Jan 19, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
thomas w: The literature produced by Firstgear usually states to order the size you normally wear, since they have sized-up the product for you. I have their overpants and they fit great. Jan 29, 2014

Phillip T: yes size larger. Be able to close the flap on the top around your neck other wise you will have to cut it off as I had to Feb 4, 2014
