Used in the industry every day! I am a student at a motorcycle technical school. We use this EXACT same tool. This tool will do the job to remove ANY timing plug cover. "IF" somehow like the other guy you have a "flat bottom" on your timing plug, dont be an idiot... just grind the rounded part down!! Also the timing plug covers just keep oil from splashing out, it doesn't need to be torqued down! January 28, 2015
Destroyed my Timing plug cover---BE CAREFUL WITH THIS THING Bought to remove timing plug on Suzuki TU250x. The middle size blade was the largest that would fit and it totally stripped out the plug slot but the plug would not budge. In the end, I had to use a cold chisel to beat the plug out. If you use this thing, check if the slot on your bike has a rounded bottom, or a flat bottom. The tool is made for rounded bottom slots, and my bike had a flat bottom ---hence the terrible destruction of my timing plug. October 29, 2012
