Yes you do need this. if you want to know for sure if you have aligned you chain properly by this too.. Also, the price is awsome in my opionion i paid about two and half times this much for one from the place i get my Smart Chain chain and Titanium II sprockets, Krause Racing. Check em out. LIfetime garuntee but pricey. Anyway if your chain isnt aligned properly you loose horsepower at the rear tire and fuel mileage, About 3-5%. That is a lot, how much have you spent to increase your power by just 5 %. Just get this and be done with it. Worth what i paid, a bargain at this price. January 18, 2012
