Michelin Pilot Road 2 Rear Tires
Great Great Tire
I am getting ready to order another set of these tires and i wanted to review the current set i have on my 07 Yamaha FJR1300.
I installed this set on 5/18/2013 and the bike had 33901 miles
i now have 47023 miles (8/7/2014)
that is 13,122 miles!!!! (the last set i had lasted just a tick over 11,000) and i still have about 1-2mm of tread above the wear indicators near the center of the tire...
these tires maintained wet and dry traction throughout the tread life... i just did a trip that i spent about 4 hours in a steady rain at interstate speeds with no issues.
i am a highway driver for the most part, commuting to work or long road trips, with weekend excursions on the twisty back roads.
(I will say i am a bit A.R. about tire pressure... i check it every couple of days and adjust as needed)
I love these tires and will be buying another set in the next few weeks

She's a beauty
I love this tire. It not only rides great it looks so beastly on my sv1000s. It grips nicely on water and especially when it's dry. Didn't think it would grip so much. But it does. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to ride hard but not like racing hard in the twisties. Get a Diablo rosso 2 or something for that

PR2 great tires!
This is my second set of PR2s. I've had Metzlers. I tried the PR3 last set. They were very hard wearing - 15,000 miles. Slight wobble over 90 mph(I've heard). The PR2 is a very smooth ride, even at higher speeds. Rolls predictably in corners. Lower price than PR3. Didn't notice any difference in wet traction, despite hype about "special" sipes. Very happy with PR2, a very good value, given performance and high milage.

PR 2s are a great value
I mounted this front tire and a Pilot Road 2 on the rear of my BMW K1600 GTL and after 8,000 miles they are both going strong. These miles were ridden with a fully loaded bike on both Interstate highways as well as winding twisty mountain roads. I rode in rain downpours as well as dry pavement with no gripping problems. I expect to get well over 10,000 miles on the rear and 15,000 on the front tire. If I achieve these results I will most certainly purchase another set of the PR 2. As an aside I have worn out 2 sets of Pilot Road 3 tires with less miles on them.

I have these on a K5 GSXR 1000 and replaced the first set at a tick under 10,000 miles only because of a large bolt decided to impale itself with my rear tire. Could have rode another 1000 miles on them. I'm a conservative rider so if you are not your results may be a bit different. Grip seems to be decent on the twisties and at a fair price. Cudos to Revzilla, I ordered these early Friday morning before Memorial Day and received them the day after the holiday.

Good overall tire
It is a good overall tire. Handles well in all conditions.

Great tires but needed a lot of wheel weights
I should put up a half dozen good reviews for all the sets of these tires I've enjoyed and have been very pleased with over the last 8 years or so before I post something negative. So, that said, this last front tire I bought needed 10 wheel weights, that's 2.5 oz to get it balanced. I wasn't thrilled about that but it rolls smooth and straight so, not the end of the world... and the grip is excellent. I would still recommend.

Great for commuters who enjoy spirited riding
So far I have a few thousand miles on this tire and it still barely shows any wear. I'm primarily a commuter who goes out for weekend rides on twisty back roads, far from a kneedragger so I know this tire gives me more grip than I'll ever need short of taking it to the track.
I avoid wet-weather riding so I can't comment to how it performs in the rain.
