Great commuter tire! I commute daily on my FZ6 and switching from Dunlop Q3's to these were a MASSIVE upgrade! The traction is obviously down some (I ride my bike VERY spiritedly and it's still plenty of traction), but the tread wear is almost unnoticeable! I've got 3000 miles on them and there are no chicken strips on the tires or uneven wear anywhere. The Q3's I had lasted 3500 miles, that's when the belts began to show, but these tires look like they'll last upwards of 10k miles. Highly recommend for anyone commuting, but still likes to get out there and have some fun! November 17, 2014
Awesome Tire I am running my second set of these on my BMW RT; they last a LONG time! I run 38-40 PSI in the rear and logged over 14,800 miles before I changed out the back tire before starting a 4,300 mile tour of the eastern US, otherwise I could have gotten a full 15K out of this beast. Very neutral handling. I use with balance beads. I will probably have to go with the PR3 or 4s next time around, these are getting pretty scarce now. I've run many other brands and these are the longest lasting by far. Never made 10K on any other tire, more like 8 or 9K. September 26, 2014
Great Great Tire I am getting ready to order another set of these tires and i wanted to review the current set i have on my 07 Yamaha FJR1300. I installed this set on 5/18/2013 and the bike had 33901 miles i now have 47023 miles (8/7/2014) that is 13,122 miles!!!! (the last set i had lasted just a tick over 11,000) and i still have about 1-2mm of tread above the wear indicators near the center of the tire... these tires maintained wet and dry traction throughout the tread life... i just did a trip that i spent about 4 hours in a steady rain at interstate speeds with no issues. i am a highway driver for the most part, commuting to work or long road trips, with weekend excursions on the twisty back roads. (I will say i am a bit A.R. about tire pressure... i check it every couple of days and adjust as needed) I love these tires and will be buying another set in the next few weeks August 7, 2014
She's a beauty I love this tire. It not only rides great it looks so beastly on my sv1000s. It grips nicely on water and especially when it's dry. Didn't think it would grip so much. But it does. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to ride hard but not like racing hard in the twisties. Get a Diablo rosso 2 or something for that August 6, 2014
PR2 great tires! This is my second set of PR2s. I've had Metzlers. I tried the PR3 last set. They were very hard wearing - 15,000 miles. Slight wobble over 90 mph(I've heard). The PR2 is a very smooth ride, even at higher speeds. Rolls predictably in corners. Lower price than PR3. Didn't notice any difference in wet traction, despite hype about "special" sipes. Very happy with PR2, a very good value, given performance and high milage. July 21, 2014
PR 2s are a great value I mounted this front tire and a Pilot Road 2 on the rear of my BMW K1600 GTL and after 8,000 miles they are both going strong. These miles were ridden with a fully loaded bike on both Interstate highways as well as winding twisty mountain roads. I rode in rain downpours as well as dry pavement with no gripping problems. I expect to get well over 10,000 miles on the rear and 15,000 on the front tire. If I achieve these results I will most certainly purchase another set of the PR 2. As an aside I have worn out 2 sets of Pilot Road 3 tires with less miles on them. September 1, 2014
Great tires! I have these on a K5 GSXR 1000 and replaced the first set at a tick under 10,000 miles only because of a large bolt decided to impale itself with my rear tire. Could have rode another 1000 miles on them. I'm a conservative rider so if you are not your results may be a bit different. Grip seems to be decent on the twisties and at a fair price. Cudos to Revzilla, I ordered these early Friday morning before Memorial Day and received them the day after the holiday. June 29, 2014
Good overall tire It is a good overall tire. Handles well in all conditions. July 8, 2014

V A: Best sport-touring tire, last over 10k miles too Mar 23, 2014
Kevin H: I was considering the PR3 and PR4, but saw a lot of reviews online saying that the PR2 is still a fantastic tire that has been tried and tested for years. A lot of people still stand by it over the PR3/PR4. It is also more affordable and has a better looking thread pattern than the PR3 and PR4. Mar 4, 2014
Dave G: Fantastic medium hard tire, still grips real good on my zx11 and will last a lot longer than soft compound tires Dec 17, 2013
A s: These tires have excellent grip and wear like iron. Love my PR2's. Dec 5, 2013
Gary H: I have run several different tires on my 02 BMW R1150R. Since trying the Pilot Road 2's I have found a tire that gives me a great ride with noticeably better tire life! Dec 4, 2013

Mathew B: Because I will not be riding that much in the rain and do not see you point of paying more for the 3s if im not going to use them. also because I ride my bike everyday so I need somthing that can handle my style of riding. Aug 30, 2013
Douglas G: Favorable reviews Aug 26, 2013
James N: Replacing the same tire that is one my bike with around 10K + miles on them. Would have got a few thousand more if not for a puncture. Aug 20, 2013
Christopher C: This will be my 2nd set of Pilot Road 2s on my 2009 R6. My first pair have about 10,000 miles on them and I will probably put another 1-3 miles on them before I put the 2nd set on. Aug 13, 2013
James S: I ride a Speed Triple as my commuter and I ride 60+ miles a day just to and from work. I need a tyre with good longevity yet something that care take a corner or to and still stick (thanks to the dual compound). I ride in Las Vegas so rain isn't too much of an issue which means I didn't feel I needed the Pilot Road 3. Also warming up my tyres isn't too hard to do in Vegas (unless its winter). Overall I'm looking forward to trying these tyres out and fingers crossed they are as good as I hope. Aug 10, 2013
A shopper asked: What's the difference between a 180/55 17 and a 180/55 17B? Which size is correct for my 2013 BMW F800GT? Dec 3, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (1) No (1)
mark s: I regret that I can't answer the sizing question. However, I purchased the 190/60/17 for my 2006 Ducati Multistrada 620 and they were perfect on a 1600 mile trip to and from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Could not have been happier with the tires at full lean. I bought both front and rear and recommend doing so. My suggestion is to fit the exact BMW manufacturer spec.
Springs coming...stay safe.
