Best tires for the street
I discovered these tires a few years back, when got into "Sport touring" riding with my 09 Ninja 650R. They are by far way better than the original OEM Bridgestone 021. The first impression was- the bike stays glued to the road, don't wonder around on a windy day... Than the grip on a twisty road is excellent- don't recall EVER to slip and slide the rear on a sharp turn, what was a common case with the OEMs. The wear is phenomenal too - the rear gets around(-/+ 1000mi) 10k mi, front gets 20k mi. Since than I use these tires on ALL my bikes (I never go to tracks, just street fun) - FJR1300, GSX-R750, Duke II supermoto. They perform outstanding, never had any problems or complains. I will never even try another brand, maybe only the newer versions of the same tire... I have had some Dunlops on a Harley, also Pirellis on my FJR and Magna V65 when bought, they don't even come close to Michelin, don't waste your money! Other tires don't grip so good and have less than half the life/mileage, at the same price. Go figure... Thanks, Michelin, for the excellent tires!

Have 6000miles on these tires and still have a lot of tread left. Will continue getting these tires.

Good handling, long lasting, reasonable cost.
Second set of these I've ran on the FJR, can't complain getting 10K miles out of a front tire.

These are my second pair of these tires on my 6th gen VFR800. They were replaced at around 10000 miles due to a construction staple puncture. They probably would have gone another 3-5K. Grip was quite good allowing 1/4inch chicken strips under normal street ride conditions.

9k miles revies
Rode this tires for 9k miles. No race tracks but I do like twisty roads. More aggressive riding about 30% of my miles. Good grip, pleased with them. Just got it replaced with same tire.

Great Street Tires
The pilot road 2s are some of my favorite tires. Anyone who isnt riding track or lives somewhere like the dragon and doesnt have a sport touring tire is fooling themselves into thinking they need the extra grip that they will never use. These tires are good enough to get knee down in entry level track groups, but also provide the traction needed for the street when you factor in rain, sand, dirt, debris, ect. Unlike sport tires these will get you decent milage and also heat up quicker on the street giving you better grip for casual riding. On the track you do have to watch out for the tires getting to slippery if you get them very hot, but on the street these are the perfect tire.

Awesome all around tire
These were a huge upgrade from the factory tires on my SV650. The first week I had the tires I got caught out in a nasty thunderstorm. With the road covered with water I still felt comfortable maintaining highway speeds even though the cars around me were slowing down. I am not the most experience rider but the grip in all conditions have significantly increased my riding confidence. Currently I also have a 60mile commute of mostly highway and the tire seems like it will last a lot longer than my old one.

Great Product, Great Price!!
So far so good! Just put these on my 2012 Triumph Thruxton about a week ago. I must say it is a HUGE improvement from the OEM tires that came on the bike. They look great on the bike and I can really feel the difference. I never knew how much the OEM tires would push back on the front end of my bike until now. These just roll in and out of corners with ease even with a slightly wider option on front and rear, 110/80 on the front and a 150/70 on the rear. Can't really rate tread life of these just yet but from other reviews I am hoping to get 12K+ out of them with good maintenance. And as far as wet traction, living in SOCAL im not sure i'll be able to rate in there but thats why i chose the pilots 2 over the 3's. Saved a little $$ since I didn't need to rely too much on the improved wet grip since it only rains a handful of days a year here.
Thanks so much to John at revzilla for helping me thru my tire buy and breaking down how easy the Michelin tire system is pros/cons/improvements with each tire family.
