Michelin Pilot Power Front Tires

You don't have to be world champion to get your hands on Michelin racing tire technology. Pilot Power tires use a rubber mix that was originally developed for MotoGP racing, and a tread pattern that covers less than 12% of the tire's surface. The result is a maximum lean angle of 50.6 degrees on dry pavement and 41.9 degrees in the wet, achieved with a stock sportbike.

Features:

  • MotoGPderived rubber compound requires minimal warmup time
  • The softest rubber mix in its class for remarkable grip, yet maintains tire performance even at advanced stages of wear
  • Unprecedented lean angles: 50.6 degrees in the dry, 41.9 degrees in the wet
  • Rubber mix remains soft even at lower temperatures providing excellent grip from the start of your ride
  • Grooved area that's less than 12% of the tread pattern for phenomenal cornering adhesion
  • "These are the best street tires I've ever ridden in my life." Steve Atlas, Roadracing World

Great tire Great tire for my 09 r1, excellent grip especially flying around turns at high speed June 28, 2016
Great sport tire For me it's just a great all round dry/wet tire. Longevity is not there, but it's worth it for the grip and handling. May 20, 2016
BANG FOR THE BUCK AWESOME TIRES, THEY GRIP GOOD, AND FOR THE PRICE YOUR PAYING ITS WORTH THE DOLLOR. May 17, 2016
Great set of tires for the price. Can't beat it for the price. Great traction, heat up well. April 5, 2016
Best tires that money can buy! Having owned a set already, this is my review of the Michelin Pilot Power tires. As a daily commuter, I can honestly say that these tires inspire confidence. In wet or dry weather. Get a set. You'll thank me later. March 28, 2016
Grippy Pilot power is an amazing tire the rear grips very well i even got stuck in the rain a few times without a thing to worry about. Will be getting the front within the next few days. February 2, 2016
Overall good sport bike tire for the road! This is my second Michelin Pilot Power Rear Tire for my bike, and so far it still has the rubber "hairs" on them after riding (sometimes aggressively) about 300 miles. I purchased this tire because it is the same as the front and I read that it is safest to keep the same tires for traction and control purposes, but also because the plug in my old tire was starting to leak air (ran over a screw at a gas station). I rode on the plugged tire for way too long (maybe 2500 miles), but overall the tire and the plug never failed me until then. I am not sure how many miles the tire itself had put on it though. The only other thing the new tire has been doing is slipping a little bit when I am braking hard to come to a quick stop, but that only happens when I start to ride the bike, and the tires might still be trying to break-in a little more. Overall I really like this tire and would like to someday take it to the track to see it's possible potential. January 21, 2016
No complaints. Much better than the dry rotten, 10 year old tires that came on my Hawk. So far nothing to complain about. Grippy, good in the wet, don't seem to be wearing too badly. August 31, 2015
