Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires add two-compound technology to the already renowned Pilot® Power range. While 2CT technology originated in MotoGP racing, Pilot® Power 2CT tires are intended for the most demanding sportbike riders, who use their bikes both on the road and for track days. Its tread surface is divided into three separate areas, incorporating two different rubber compounds. This helps provide numerous benefits in terms of dry grip, lean angle, handling and progressive acceleration and braking on wet surfaces.
Real Moto GP technology from the tire company that has won 15 consecutive GPWorld Championships
20% softer rubber mix on the edges of the tread yields phenomenal cornering grip
Unprecedented lean angles: 51.2 degrees in the dry on Michelin's test track
Precise handling and feedback
Lap times within 7% of Michelin Moto GP slicks when fitted on Colin Edward's Yamaha Moto GP bike at Malaysia's Sepang circuit in February 2006
Track Day tire that is equally at home on the road
She's a performer
So I couldn't give this tire a full five starts due to the fact that it's a highly consumable tire. That is, she's waxed after about 2,500 decent miles. I also can't say it's any better or worse than then my previous set of Sportmax Q2's though (which were cheaper). The 190 profile with that tread pattern does looks gnarly out back! (can you guess what parking lot I'm in? haha)

I bought this tire 2 days ago already like it and broke it in (100miles on it). Took some turns faster than I did on my 650 surprised me considering the nimbleness of a 650cc twin vs my Z1000 I have now. It hooks up way better than my Q3 did. No sliding in turns like the Q3. Rode in the slimy dew covered roads this morning no issues. I love it. Feels even more planted than my PP3s did. This weekend I am going to test the grip sideways under more power. But I don't hink it will drift like the Q3. I did a 100+ turn last night no issues and almost no squirm.

I wore out my last one of these on my last track day, which it handled perfectly. Excellent grip on the street and track, comfortable ride. I like them.

Great Design and Functionality
This was the first moto tire I replaced and it was a huge improvement from the economy tire the previous owner threw on there. I unfortunately didn't have the bike longer than 6months to assess tread life, but in the 4,000 miles I put on it, it showed very little signs of use. I was only caught out in the rain once but I was riding for a little while before I even noticed so thats a great quality.

Only a 1000 miles on the tire with no wet riding yet but tread seems still new the grip is night and day difference between stock bridgestones and regular pilot powers.

Very good tire
They always felt good to me. Even when badly worn. Which is usually the point I take my tires to. They look really good on the bike. They inspire confidence.

Tyler G: A trusted friend recommended the Pilot 2CT as a great tire at a fair price. After doing my own research, I agreed that these tires are great quality while not breaking the bank. Excited to throw them on my bike and see how they handle!Oct 27, 2014
