Lasts over 10K miles, great on the road, but I wouldn't use it for anything more than a gravel road when I go off-roading.

Tale of 2 tires: Bike R1200GS-- I primarily used Tourances on the bike but tried the Avon Distanzias just prior to going back to the Metzler.
I find both tires grip well and I got about the same mileage out of both 12K-Metzler and 11K-Avon. They both do fine in the wet (I ride in the rain often) and they both suck in mud/ wet grass. Knobbies they are not.
I have noticed that the Tourance wears a more evenly and is not as noisy as the Avon.
On the other hand when the Tourance gets its flat spot it is much more affected by road quality i.e., if there are patches on the road you really feel it when you ride over the edge of the seem, it pulls a lot harder. I did not notice that as much on the Avon and I brought the TWI almost all the way down in the middle.
I went back with Metzlers because I like them better in the curves on mountain roads. That is all!

Had these as original OEM and decided to stick with them as they are long lasting (mine had over 10K on them and still had some 2k in them, but were replaced because of a long trip than was coming up).
RevZila price was best I found on-line.

Good Choice for the Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom

The Tourance is a good 80/20 tire for the Vee. The bike handles very well at high speeds, and it works adequately for dirt forest roads. Those wanting more off-pavement performance, or where deeper lose dirt or mud are common, will probably want a more aggressive tread or knobbies.

I recently replaced my old Tourance's with a set of new ones after having put approximately 13,000 miles on them. Right after having them installed, my wife and I took a road trip where we encountered driving rain, sleet, snow and hail at different times - the tires (and my wife) did VERY well in all these conditions!

I switched from a knobby on my Vstrom 650 to this tire, great switch given what I ride. It is not the best in lighter soil but still gets the job done. For being mainly a street tire I am very happy with it. I have put 2,500 miles on it so far and can't see much treat wear. I liked it enough that I just bought the Tourance front tire for the bike now.
