Metzeler Tourance Rear Tire
Staying with the Metzelers
I purchased a new to me 1200GS in August and the Tourance tires had about one third tread on them at the time. I ran them about thirty-five hundred miles and completely ran the rear bald. Looked at the Michelins and Metzelers, and decided to stay with the Tourances as they gave me a smooth ride, excellent traction, and tire longevity that I haven't seen out of the Michelins. Ordered a complete set so I can start on this bike with zero time tires to get a real feel for tire life.

Good handling, nice look
I have been using these tires on my 660 tenere (no abs) since beginning of 2014. I have experienced some little problems while on slippery road but in general thank god i have never had a big problem on & off the road. I feel confident about the tires. No need to search for an extra thrill by using a different tyre. Go with tourance...

Should have never strayed away.
These tires came on my Triumph explorer and I put 12K on em, they were at about 25% tread when I switched to the Metzeler Karoo 3's. For the amount of freeway driving I do the 3's were too loud, I should have never gone with such an agressive tire. These tires have served me well in the past, I ran over a bolt a week into ownership and had the dealership patch the tire, I put 11,000 more miles on that tire. I'll never stray again. Loyal Metzeler customer here.

Having had this tire previously, I knew I'd like it. However, this was my first order with Revzilla, and I am sold! Their site is excellent, product mix is great, and their product review videos are actually worthwhile! Thank you.

Revzilla to the Rescue with a Great Set of Tires
This summer just before leaving on my 2013 Yamaha Super Tenere for a 9300+ mile solo bike trip, I checked in with the cycle shop where I intended to get service on my bike and learned they did not stock the tires I wanted. Not wanting to take a risk, I called Revzilla and ordered front and rear Metzeler Tourance tires to be sent to a friend in Nevada. Three days into my trip, my friend calls - the tires arrived. One week, 14 states, and six national parks later I pull into the cycle shop in NV; 15 mins later my friend delivers the tires to the shop and I put my gear in his car. The next day the cycle shop finishes the service, mounts the tires and I'm off for the great Southwest. On the remainder of the trip, I road fully loaded with my gear through hail and rain, and gravel roads and dirt trails in NV, UT, & CO on my trip back home to TN with no tire or grip issues. I've put 5000 miles on the Metzeler Tourance tires and they look nearly new...I should get close to 10,000 miles. Just road the Dragon near my home in TN...still great grip and ready to go find more on-off road riding. Thanks Revzilla for responding so fast and the Metzeler Tourance tires are great.

NOISY BUT, RELIABLE
Just purchased a set of Tourance tires and mounted same. They are replacing a set of Metzler NEXT tires. The Tourances are noisy, but the tread life is better. I got 9K out of two sets of NEXT's. Usually get around 12K from Tourances. Good all-around tire for GSA.

Made in China. No more!
Made in China. No more! I realized after they were mounted, expected a German made tire that was made in China. Will do more research and shop else where.

longer lasting tyre with decent grip
I purchased a set of these tyres on-the-road at the end of last Summer.
I had been running Distanzia and been very happy with the grip but fully loaded on heated roads I was getting 6,500 miles out of them.
I'm at 5,000 miles with the Tourance and it looks like I have over half the tyre tread left BUT I have been running as a solo rider (no luggage) on Winter temperature roads.
I have a cross-country route planned for this Summer CA to NY via the MOA rally in St Paul and around Thunder Bay. I didn't want to have to think about tyres until I reached the East coast - thus this purchase...
