I love the tires for ride, handling, grip, and control. They do wear relatively quickly. My back tire was good for roughly 8,000 miles.

I have been using these tires on my V-Rod for about 3 years. They seem to have better grip wet or dry then other brands. Also have longer tread life than stock brand.

Let me just say that Revzilla had the best price on the tires & their shipping is super quick! I've only put about 300 milles on the tires since I got them & I haven't ridden in rain with them yet. I have no complaints at all but my review is limited so I'll have to update after some more riding.

This is my second set of ME880. I road the OEM brand tires for years (3 sets) and got great mileage, but always wanted to try Metzelers. What an improvement in comfort of ride, both long distance and shorter commutes. The most impressive part was the increased grip, both dry and wet. A real confidence booster. Still got 12K miles on the set and front tire has miles left on it.

Metzeler has a great reputation, and for what I paid (on sale plus the RevZilla bucks) I feel like I stole it. It is too new to tell about tread life, but it came highly recommended.

I got 11K out of this set and the front could go some more. Not bad. I can't say much for the wet traction. I was caught in the rain just once and didn't have any issues.

Answer: 
No, there is no difference. The "OE" designation denotes that this tire is an Original Equipment tire, i.e. the same tire that certain bikes were equipped with from the factory.

For example, the 120/70-21 size was the original equipment tire for the 2008 Yamaha XV1900 Star Raider.
