One of the best deals on a tire for dirt.
I bought this tire in lieu of another Maxxis Desert IT for my 2009 KTM 450 XCF and I have to say this Kenda is not only MUCH cheaper than the now overpriced Maxxis Desert tires, it performs just as well and is DOT legal.
I did my first ride on it yesterday, 145 miles of everything from rocky single track to wide open desert road, silt, asphalt sand and whoops. It handled it all perfectly with excellent traction with me throwing roost and gunning it the entire time. The tire shows minimal wear.
For the price right now I don't think you can find anything that will beat the performance and durability. I'll be interested to see how many actual hours I can get out of it vs the Maxxis Desert rears. But heck already the price is better, so that's a big selling point.
Now I just need to find a tire that matches this one but for intermediate terrain.

50$ shipped to the door with my 5$ Zilla cash, cant beat that
This is a serious Dot Knobby. Others said it they had it chunk or wear funny on the highway but that is because they did not follow the break in recommended right on the sticker on the tire. No hard cornering, excessive power or aggressive road use for 1st 100 miles then its good to go. cant beat the price!

Best DOT knobby I've found and I'm done looking
Ride a 500 EXC and get ~500 miles total (400 dirt) out of them. They can handle anything I come across in N GA - rocks, roots, mud, clay and do fine on the street. Don't know about sand - not much around here. If they lasted longer I would give them five stars, they also let you know gradually when it's time for a replacement. For the money they can't be beat, spend another 20 bucks on some tire irons and change them yourself.

Great desert tire.
Front hooks up great in Baja sandy trails. Wears well.

Fifth Time Getting This Tire
Slight name change in recent years, but this is the best tire for the trails here in Georgia and when I ride in central Oregon.
Digs into the sand and gravel, and can stick to the "Georgia Red Clay" and can do a fire road (and even black top).
Just the best for my 2004 KTM 400 EXC
