Great Product
This is probably the single best purchase I have made since beginning to ride. I have been using this backpack nearly every time I ride for over two years now. I have riding in all types of weather including torrential down pours, my tings have stayed dry and the pack shows no sign of wear at all.
I am a college student and primarily ride back and forth to class and work, all my books and things for work fit great in it. I also use it for my weekend rides to the beach; it’s amazing how much junk you can fit in this back pack! The back padding and shoulder straps are very comfortable and the cell phone pocket on the left shoulder strap is very convenient. The top pocket of the pack is supposed to be used as a helmet holder, my helmet does fit (Arai Profile), but I rarely use it for that purpose, instead I usually put my bag lunch in it. There are also several other pockets that are great for storing knick knacks and little things.
The reason I gave this product a four star rating is for two reasons. First off the waist strap, if you are not using it there is no way to store it away. I fold it around the back of the pack and keep it buckled at all times. Secondly, there is little to no reflective material on the back of this pack. The piping is supposed to be reflective, but for me this isn't enough. I went out and bought reflective tape to put on the back.
Other than those two issues this is a great pack and I highly recommend it.

It's pretty big
This backpack might make you feel like a ninja turtle. The biggest problem I had with this back pack is the waist straps. They're going to be slapping you,
Unless your riding with them buckled. Also, they appear as if you might hit somone's rear view mirror if you ride with the waist straps unbuckled. Another problem would be the length of the back pack. The back pack is the same length as my torso, and I'm 5'10. A friend mentioned if icarried a tent in there. It's big... My wife called me a ninja turtle. It's really big...
If the big size is what your going for, then his bp is for you. As a veteran rider the waist straps get in the way. As a college student, the back pack is just too big. I havnt mentioned the size with the helmet inside... Get the back pack if you plan to go back packing across the states. I wouldn't recommend this bp if your a college student because of the size. It,s impossible to place it next to your chair without the bp taking up the whole aisle.
