Just a replacement
I dropped my Icon Variant on the ground, which made the visor become uncoupled from the helmet when raised. These direct replacements fixed that for me and I've learned to put my helmet on the ground instead on on my motorcycle seat.

bought it for my spare helmet
I bought this for my backup helmet because after a low speed crash the original busted, it was kind of tricky to get on at first and it's still a little stiff but I'm sure that'll go away with use. But I don't really intend on it being used anyway
(I'm only keeping it as a backup helmet until I can afford a new one)

I have 50 percent of the cost of my helmet invested in these stupid things
I picked up an Icon Alliance helmet which I love, with one exception. These stupid latches. While the theory is great and it is easy to swap shields out, these things will break if you look at them the wrong way. I am on my second set now having broken the right side twice now.
As much as I like the helmet, when it is time to get a new lid, I will look for something with a sturdier design. This is the gigantic week spot in the Alliance helmets.

Application: Icon Alliance Torrent
I'm glad I found this replacement part or else my Icon Helmet would have been a total loss over a tiny plastic chip on the pivot. The problem with these Icon helmets, giving rise to my down-ratings, isn't fully on these side locking piviots; its also that prolock visor security system on the helmet. To flip it up, the shield needs to be flexed to get it off the security nub, which in turn puts flex on the small plastic parts in the side pivots. Its only a matter of time before little plastic parts in the pivot start snapping. I've now read where Icon owners just rest their shield on top of the nub to avoid damaging the pivots. Ten bucks for replacement isn't bad, but my damage also caused one of my side plates to pop off and go flying somewhere and I couldn't find it. That was another $25, but I'm back in biz. Again, I'm glad Revzilla offers the replacement pivots!

A Solid Upgrade From the Originals
My original pivot kit on my Airframe Construct broke the first time I swapped my visors leading me to wearing my tinted visor all the time, even at night. The other night it broke all together so I could only leave my visor shut or it would pop off on the right side. These revision 2 units are much stronger and easier to use than the original version. No visors popping off and solid clicks into place. Just hope these last longer than the original.
