I took off the stock face shield, popped the side plates on the new one, stuck it on the helmet, and it was a perfect fit.

A great visor addition, the light smoke is a must have as it works great on those sunny days and can even seem get by when it is pitch black out. I rarely take it off!

This review is for the Reflective Gold Proshield (mounted onto a Domain 2 helmet). Three primary things to say:
1.) When the Proshield is locked down using the hole/metal tab arrangement between helmet and shield, it DOES cut out a ton of wind and noise. Also this should keep the helmet locked down tight so it won't get knocked off in a crash, thankfully I haven't tested this yet.
2.) Scratch resistance is superb. I'm not too embarrassed to say that I dropped my beautiful Icon helmet down a flight of stairs... mostly because it's impossible to tell unless you know exactly what you're looking for. I did have to replace the Supervent on my helmet which took the majority of the damage (as it is intended to, I suppose), but that's another story. The Proshield took a solid hit or two off of wood stairs and laughed it off.
3.) Sadly, this shield is not the best at Fog-Resistance. I suspect that only the Clear and Smoke varieties have the Fog Shield on them, a deduction supported by the included Icon face shield company guide. In practice, I found that I was controlling my breathing at stop signs/lights and oftentimes not locking the helmet all the way down to the final "click" until I had pulled away to a decent speed, at which point the excellent air flow of my helmet took care of the problem. This is in 40 degree and below weather mind you, and with all of my vents wide open. Different environments will yield different results I am sure.
Miscellaneous: Packing and documentation was superb, the helmet came shrink-wrapped in a protective film from the factory with just the right size packing to support it without crushing it. If you own one of the Icon helmets that these shields attach to then you already know that the face shield changing process is trickier then some. It took me 10 minutes to figure out that the orange tabs weren't locking all the way unless I pushed them even further then I thought they were supposed to go. It's probably something you could get used to if you change shields a lot however, and it's arguably a very small price to pay for the various other premium features that Icon brings to the table for the price.

Love the lens and the reflective coating on it. I ordered the silver lens. It is tinted as well, but I wish it was just a little darker. Sun is still pretty bright, but its much better than a clear lens.

Great product looks amazing! Other comments mentions scratches easy but I have no complaints. Changing out the shield took longer than I wanted it to but after you do once it's a quick switch. Only downside is night riding, not recommended but it's doable, it only looks alittle bit darker at night. But other than that great buy.

I purchased this for my Icon Alliance helmet. It says right on the box that my helmet is pro-shield applicable, but somehow this visor does not fit right. I have tried wiggling it around and looking to see if there are any major gaps in the seal, but nothing. It only whistles once I go above 45 mpg, but who I ,am I kidding, I never ride that slow. The whistle is tolerable but I don't know if I could deal with it for an hour+ ride.
Good product, bad design (or fit)

The short answer is yes.The long answer is: All helmet lenses, safety glasses, most sun glasses, etc. (no mater the manufacturer) are made from one form or another of polycarbonate. While being highly transparent to visible light, its properties begin to to block all light in the frequency of 400nm (nanometers) on up. Therefore, yes the Pro-Shield does block UV rays. And since UV-B rays have an even higher frequency, yes it blocks those too.

Can you put an Icon Original Shield on a Airframe? Their website reads:

You can but it won't close ALL the way, pretty close but not quite because of the shield lock.. you might be able to drill a hole though. Also, you can't put the side plates on the shield if you use Orig. I know because rev accidentally sent me an original smoke when I first ordered.D
