Icon Pro Shield
The Pro Shield from Icon distinguishes itself from the Icon Classic Shield by means of the helmet shield lock. Icon made the switch in 2010 and all of the newer models (listed below) now take the ICON Pro Faceshield. The exception to the rule is the Icon Airmada Helmet, which takes the Icon Optics Faceshield.

Perfect!
I got the LIGHT SMOKE for my Airframe Crossbones and it looks great! The visor tinted perfectly, during the day no one can see in, and night visability is good.
I previously had the RST SILVER fitted on the same helmet & it looked fantastic... for 3 or 4 months 'til the silver disappeared! I think that for the long term this is a much better buy!
(Oh! & Revzilla did a great job with O/S shipping, staff were always friendly & helpfull... THANKS!)

Beautiful shield, received in poor condition.
I purchased the icon silver shield for my icon alliance helmet. I received it a week or so later but it was scratched along the sides. Also it keeps un- clipping on one side and won't seem to snap in properly. It's a beautiful color/make but spending 75 dollars on a shield that arrived scratched was less than acceptable. Looks nice on the helmet, but didnt feel like I received a product that was worth the money spent.

Whistles on my Alliance helmet
I am surprised I am only the second person to complain about this, but above 60-65mph you get this rather annoying whistle...it is dependent on the amount of wind, and the angle of the wind in which side it whistles on...i'll have to tinker with that.
Otherwise I got dark shade, love it, can see out great during the day, have not tried at not but if it is horrible at night, will update to let others know.

Awesome shield
Bought the gold one for my icon alliance chieftain helmet. Doesn't fog up, is easy to install, and looks great with the helmet.

Nice shield
Ordered the blue mirror shield ,it was much lighter than pictured , not as dark as would've liked it . Scratches extremely easily . Venting and overall fit is good ..

anti fog means anti fog
I got the blue rst to go with my chieftain helmet and man let me tell you it really just sets this helmet off and makes it look that much better. I did think it was gonna be a little bit more mirrored than it was because you can see right through it but it really doesnt bother me so. But the biggest thing I think is awesome is the anti fog. Most shields say they are anti fog and they fog up just as easily. This does not fog. Even on cool mornings sitting at a stop light with the visor down not a touch of fog. Awesome shield!

love it
Very pleased with this shield. Purchased the 'smoke' colored one so I don't have to wear sunglasses inside my helmet and this does the job perfectly. ^^average ratings above are only because those categories really don't apply to this product.

I bought the dark smoke shield and it was a perfect replacement and really helps when its super sunny out! No more being blinded by rays!

How durable is the mirrored finish?

Several reviews here and elsewhere claiming the mirrored tints are so low quality you can wipe them off with the included cloth. Others claim any attempt to clean makes it flake off. Can anyone confirm?

All iridium and mirrored finishes are more delicate, so they should be cleaned with care. Using the provided cloth, clean with warm water, or to remove other debris, you can use baby shampoo and warm water. Yes, it is sad but true. I had the RST SILVER visor & it looked great for a while. The silver finish just started coming off after a couple of months though, and then rapidly disappered! I love ICON & will continue buying their stuff, but this visor was a disappointment! (I now have the LIGHT SMOKE fitted, much better!)3 days ago

But ICON seems to think it means Reflective Specialty Treatment.

The short answer is yes.The long answer is: All helmet lenses, safety glasses, most sun glasses, etc. (no mater the manufacturer) are made from one form or another of polycarbonate. While being highly transparent to visible light, its properties begin to to block all light in the frequency of 400nm (nanometers) on up. Therefore, yes the Pro-Shield does block UV rays. And since UV-B rays have an even higher frequency, yes it blocks those too.

I called Icon and he said all the tinted Visors/Shields have a place on a graph measuring UV rays against penetration. Its available in a PDF format to look at if you want to know if yours is or not. The guy I worked with said overall if its darker than clear then yes, just a matter of how much that varies. You can ask them for the PDF if your curious.Age: 25-34

Can you put an Icon Original Shield on a Airframe? Their website reads:

Original shields will *technically* fit onto an Airframe, but not ideally. The side plates are unable to mount to the visor, but more importantly, there is no hole in the visor for the 'lock' feature of the Airframe. You can but it won't close ALL the way, pretty close but not quite because of the shield lock.. you might be able to drill a hole though. Also, you can't put the side plates on the shield if you use Orig. I know because rev accidentally sent me an original smoke when I first ordered.D

No and No. It is simply a visual look. The chameleon has the same tint as the Silver, Blue and Gold Visors, it does not change. The only thing different is the colors look different depending on how much light is out and from which angle you view it. Otherwise its just a medium smoke visor.Age: 25-34
