Nice but fitting issue is a problem

The straps are just too short if you have large legs. Wouldn't have bought it if the product details mad that more clear. If you have skinny calves, this is a better match, because the protection is nice.

Awesome product

Great product with great protection. I highly suggest this product. You can never have enough protection for your knees/shins. If you go down, you want your knees/shins protected at all costs; that's if you still want to walk.

I'm walking because of these.

I bought these for my motorcycle training class and found them quite comfortable, provided you take the time to sew shorter velcro straps on. On week after getting my license, I crashed going through a corner. My leg hit a pole, and the guards redistributed the blow, so i hade a fracture instead of a full break. Then the bike dropped on me and the footpeg feeler tried to rip my leg apart -- the guards took the blow and i came away with a small cut from that. Then the guards took the pavement grinding that would have left me with horrible road rash. The paramedics cut them off and said that i was lucky to have had them. I never want to go through that again, but now I ride with my new pair every time I start my bike. These things are leg and life savers!!

great concealed knee armor

I have 13 inch calves and the knee armor fits well, not too small or large. I don't know if they slide down because they are held up by my 8" boot. They don't get in my way while riding at all. They are very comfortable under loose fit jeans for riding and walking around. I didn't use them in warm weather but they kept my legs warm in cool weather. I have no experience with crash durability. I am very happy with this purchase.

Just got these in the mail and I hopefully wont ever get the chance to really test them out. I've ridden with them on and they fit well. They really want to slide down when I'm not wearing my boots. But when I do, they sit right on top of the boot and work quite well. This was expected so I'm not turned away from this product. Just expect it to slide without boots.

Sizing: I have small calves and thighs (so much so that I get made fun of for it) and these fit me well. I can definitely see why other reviewers say that they are too small. Very little velcro to adjust with so if you have bigger legs be hesitant.

Overall: Seems like a great product. Feel very solid and make me much more comfortable while riding. Definitely don't feel as exposed anymore.

Good choice for me

Good product; bit pricey by comparison to other armor I've looked at. Still, glad I settled on these. The gripes about slipping on slimmer calves holds true for me, but if I just crisscross the lower two straps the armor fits even more snugly and comfortably.

Save Your Legs!

I hardly ever thought about leg protection when it came to motorcycle riding, but fortunately for me, I decided to buy these. 2 weeks after the purchase, I lowsided in some sand and slid for 50ft with my right leg pinned under the bike. My pants were shredded from ankle to knee, and if I hadn't been wearing this armor and boots, I would have been skinless. Buy these and wear them everywear you go! My bike is totalled now but I saved a multi-thousand dollar trip to ER thanks to these.

Very nice

One size fits all works for me. Comfortable and not really noticeable under my jeans. Haven't fallen to test them yet, but the feel sturdy.

ICON Field Armor

While comfortable, the straps need to be longer. If you have larger lower legs, these will not be comfortable or fit. Poor design issue from ICON. I added length to the straps by having my wife cut and sew longer straps onto the armor.
