A Better Jacket For Hot Summer Riding
First off, I am 6 feet tall and weigh 200lbs. My chest is 42 and my arms are 34. I am an athletic build but not ripped, probably could lose about 5 lbs around the waist. lol Typically when I buy a jacket or shirt the area of most concern to me is my shoulders. As my shoulders are slightly more muscular, when I reach forward the shoulder area becomes too tight and uncomfortable. So I typically buy jackets that are XL because of this reason. Sometimes a size L though. I own a Joe Rocket Mesh "Honda" logo jacket that is light gray with black accent, and that is a size XL that fits me perfectly.

So when I read about this jacket fitting larger and looser, I decided to buy the "Large". One reviewer in particular mentioned his dimensions and was similar to me, so I took a chance and trusted the Large would fit me and my shoulders as well. Was a good decision. The Large not only fits well on my shoulders, including reaching forward in position to ride my CBR 600RR, but sleeves are long enough too. Standing straight the sleeves come down to my first set of knuckles, but when leaning forward to ride come exactly to cover my wrist and stop before my hand. The fit for me is great around the chest and torso. In fact I would even say it fits better than my Joe Rocket mesh jacket. The Large is not tight on me, but not sloppy or baggy. Fits just right. Another reviewer didn't like the fit around the neck, however I think it fits perfectly and covers better than my Rocket jacket. But does not rub on my neck. You might be thinking why did I buy another mesh jacket? Well the reason is that the color white is the only color that is very effective at reflecting the heat from the sun. I purchased the "white" Icon Anthem Mesh jacket. I ride my CBR in South Florida and while my Joe Rocket jacket has slightly better airflow than this Icon jacket(due to the Rocket having a larger mesh weave), this Icon jacket is MUCH cooler in the hot sun. Especially waiting at the stoplight. Even the light gray on my Rocket jacket attracts enough heat from the sun to make me sweat noticeably more. In fact, I am amazed at how much cooler the white is! I absolutely love this jacket and very happy with purchasing the Large and in White. My only complaints for the jacket are two things: First, I wish the inside pocket was waterproof. Random rain showers happen out of nowhere here in South Florida and I like to keep my iPhone in the inside pocket. Secondly, the back armor is nothing special. I guess better than nothing but would have liked more in that department. But the tradeoff is it makes the jacket lighter to carry around and wear. Having a water resistant inside pocket and overall better armor inside seems to be the advantage my Rocket jacket has over this Icon jacket. However my Rocket jacket is heavier because of it. South Florida is a dangerous place to ride a motorcycle but I can't give it up. So no matter how hot it gets, I always ride with full protection. And I recommend you do the same too. I would not pay more for this jacket, but it is priced right and I personally think that it is a great buy.

Hope this review helps you out. Incredible jacket for the price! Don't hesitate to pull the trigger.
I bought this as a summertime riding jacket to wear without the quilted liner. I'm 5'11; 185 lbs; 44 inch chest; 32 inch waist; 34 inch arm length. Purchased the LARGE in BLACK. Fits perfect around the chest and shoulders. Sleeves are maybe a hair long when off the bike, but just right on the bike. Maybe a bit large around the waist area. But, with a 12 inch drop between my chest and waist being rather significant, I expected the jacket to be a little big with no way to cinch the sides of the jacket. This jacket isn't supposed to be super tight so it works fine for me. I didn't want to look like a storm trooper.

The jacket is much more impressive in person. Video doesn't do it justice. Out of the box I felt extremely satisfied for the purchase price of $144. After riding over 300 miles this weekend in 90 degree temps in south GA humidity, I'm even more pleased! Got a number of compliments from riding buddies.

Protection in the elbows and shoulders feels quite adequate and sits where it should on me. Back protector isn't as stout, but I'm not planning to replace. Jacket felt great on the road. No binding, tightness, or bunching on my bike (Yamaha RS Warrior). The elbow armor didn't wear my elbows raw. Shoulder armor stayed in place even with the jacket unzipped about 1/4 way down while riding 70 mph. Jacket let in plenty of air while moving. The sleeve bottoms don't button very tight leaving a rather large opening around the wrists. Concerned me at first, but this actually funneled air up the sleeves and acted like A/C for my arms! The quilted liner has jersey cuffs so when I do have to use it during cooler times, I'm hoping the cuffs keep the cold air out.

My only gripe is the neck material chafes a bit on my neck at times in different riding positions. Not a deal killer by any stretch. Just wish it had a softer material or neoprene collar.

I won't know for sure until I ride in the fall, but this looks like it could be a three season jacket easily wear I live. I tried on a Hurley hooded jacket I wear most wintertime and it seems to fit fine under the mesh jacket without the liner so I might try that.

If you're looking for a sharp, well made, mesh jacket you won't regret taking a chance on this one!

Great Jacket
I live in Florida and finding a mesh jacket that can protect and flows lots of air is critical. This jacket is by far the best mesh jacket I've owned! The quality is Icon strong and it is very stylish for a no frills design. If you haven't bought one of these on closeout you are missing the boat!

Get White
This one doesn't flow a ton of air. The weave is a bit too tight for that. What keeps me coolest is the white color of the jacket that repels heat. No more black in the summer.
This jacket has a naturally relaxed fit so it's very comfortable. The armor falls in the right places and the shoulders aren't pointy. Real nice.
The staggered zippers are a great touch. Icon jackets do feature some nice details.

Good quality, pads move a little
The jacket looks and feels of great quality. The airflow at any speed is great and the styling is very sharp. The zip in liner isn't all that thick but it should do fine throughout the fall in Indiana. My only complaint is that the shoulder and elbow pads tend to move around a little. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Great 3 season jacket
I got this in the sale and its a real steal. The jacket is a perfect fit for me (chest 42) and the sleeves are not to long (I have shorter than average arms). I really like the detail on the jacket and its clearly very well made. Airflow is good. It been in the low 80's here in Houston and its perfect with the liner removed. Pockets are OK. Outside ones are excellent with good zips. Inside ones could be a little better.

Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Excellent jacket, matches my 29er gloves in color, feels great, only downside is the armor pads float around a bit, other than that fit is perfect for 175lbs/6'.

Great relaxed mesh jacket
I love this jacket. Great airflow and fit. I have had (and still have) many jackets. This is the first that has a comfortable fit without being floppy. The full liner is also nice on the brisk Colorado mornings. Our summer days in the mountains can go from mid 40's in the early morning to high 80's in the afternoon. The anthem handles a full day very well.

Great airflow
Didn't have any kind of riding jacket. Watched your 2015 video guide for textile and mesh jackets. Needed a summer fall riding jacket. Found this one on your site for a great price. Received jacket and within the first ride knew I had the right jacket. Airflow was more than I expected. Only draw back is the back protector is a little flimsy, but still a great option as a commuter jacket.

Great 3-Season Jacket
I live in Western Washington and winter in Arizona, so I'm riding year-round. This is the perfect jacket for my type of riding -- with the liner in it's good down into the 50's, with it out I'm good into the 90's. It does run big. I'm 5'10" and about 195, and the Medium fits me with plenty of room for a sweatshirt under the liner if need be. It flows a ton of air in hot weather, is very comfortable to wear and looks good. It's a little more expensive than some "mesh" jackets, but with the full liner including sleeves, it's worth it. I highly recommend this jacket.

A good mesh jacket for south Florida. I got the "lab coat white" version and have been cool, maybe less-hot would be a better term, since I have been wearing it. Allows me to follow ATGATT when it's hot outside.

Great summer jacket, has great flow. Only thing is wear gloves that fit over the sleeves. They don't have a adjustment it is just one position and I had a bee go right in one sleeve. Other then that I really do like this jacket it was great during the summer and the thermal liner was nice when it started to get a little cold. This is a true summer jacket and that is it.

Color, a summer mesh, hopefully not as hot and more breathable than my other jackets, protection for shoulder and elbows, nice style and appears to have some flex in the material.

I am 5'7" and i weigh about 130 lbs. should i get the small or medium? Does this jersey go a little large at all?
Michael J on Mar 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am 6'0 and about 215lbs. I went with an extra large because I wanted to wear a hoodie under for the colder months, but It actually fit me perfectly. Awesome jacket. So I'd go with a medium maybe. Remember if the size you select doesn't fit you can just send it back for a different size, revzilla is great with that. Good luck.
Is there a way to snug the jacket at the waist? I wear my current jacket with side Velcro cinched down a bit.
John M on Jul 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No there is not. The size runs pretty big. I'm 5'8 155lbs and a small is a comfortable fit. Not a snug fit. I like the jacket but recommend a back protector upgrade. If you have one already, it will likely fit in this jacket. Good luck
I'm deciding between the Anthem and Contra. I realize the Contra is a heavier, more full featured jacket, and the Anthem is more geared towards a hot weather solution, but I wonder about the cool weather riding with the Anthem... Whats the coldest temps you've worn your Anthem (with the liner) in, and how did it function?
A shopper on May 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I live in SW Fl near Naples. I have worn this jacket w/o the liner in temps from 65-95 and it flows a lot of air-while moving. When we get the occasional cold snap down in the 40's to high 50's I put the liner in and it's fine for shorter trips, 45 mins or so, much longer and I think it may not be the best answer for you. I ride a Trophy SE so I have a good bit of protection also. Very pleased with quality of jacket and would purchase Icon products again. Hope this helps.
Since this jacket has no collar at all, should I be concerned about a sun burned neck under a full face helmet?
Michael B on Mar 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wore this jacket all last summer with a full faced helmet and never got sunburned. Plus, with the mesh I never got hot either.
Really interested in the jacket. I have seen criticism of the protective usefulness of the jacket due to its loose cut. Anyone care to weigh in on that witb their own experience/ impressions?
A shopper on May 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Bought this jacket because I am chubby. The jacket is relaxed fit but not so much so that it is baggy. Buy your correct size and you should be fine.
Is there any reflective material on this jacket?
A shopper on May 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes - the orange jacket has reflective portions on the chest in the icon area near the collar bone also a strip across the chest and a strip across the sleeves near the elbow. On the back the area where the icon logo is reflective as is the thinner - lighter colored grey strips you see outlining the darker grey areas near the bottom sides of the jacket.
I am 5'11 , 220 lb, 47"chest, 37"Waist atletic build, Which size would you recomend I get??
Alejandro Z on Apr 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have a 43" chest and 35 inch waist and bought an XL and it fits great. You definitely should get a 2XL. GREAT Jacket by the way!
I'm 6 feet tall. My chest is 47/48 and my sleeve length is 37.5. Which size would be best for me?
A shopper on Mar 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: the large may be too tight. x large may be rt size for you. i would call revzilla and ask one of the reps just to make sure.
I'm 5'10" and from what I can tell, 33" chest & arm lol. What I'm worried about is sleeve length. How long are the sleeves?
A shopper on Nov 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 5'9" 170 here, my wingspan is a few inches longer than my height. I'm wearing a med. with no issues. Jacket is a more relaxed fit so even if the length is a tad short it won't bind you up.
Do any of the Icon Anthem Mesh Jackets have side-tabs along the bottom (hip area) for adjustment?
Jean-Louis D on May 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Anthem jacket doesn't.
