Good mesh jacket for hotter weather Provides protection while keeping me reasonably cool in hot weather without liner. Using removable liner allows use in cooler weather. As an older rider carrying a bit more weight than when I was younger, a useful feature that should be added is a way to adjust the position of the shoulder and elbow armor for better fit and comfort as I needed size XL that was a bit too large in shoulders while size large would have been too small in arm length and chest. November 16, 2015
Good summer jacket, great value I have been riding in the Texas heat since July in this jacket and it is pretty good...especially when you consider the price. Good ariflow and the quality looks to be solid. Haven't tried the removable liner yet as it is still way too hot, but I think this jacket will get me well into the Texas "winter". September 28, 2015
Great summer jacket Jacket is great for summer riding. Definitely need to layer up for spring and fall, but overall a fantastic jacket. October 26, 2015
Awesome Jacket! This jacket is an amazing jacket for the price. I tried on several other jackets at the local motorcycle shop. I decided to buy this jacket based on all of the reviews. I had to buy one size larger than usual because I do have a beer belly. When I received the jacket I was very happy with my decision. The jacket has a great fit, the quality is fantastic, and the amount of air that goes through the jacket (w/o the inner lining) is perfect for me. I typically run hot but when wearing this jacket I didn't break a single sweat when riding in the sun. You can't go wrong with this jacket. October 13, 2015
RIDE I got this jacket and it's great, you also have the reflectors built in for riding at night. September 21, 2015
Icon Anthem Mesh Jacket Great jacket. I'm 5'9" and about 220 lbs. Stocky build with a 44" chest and a 38" waist. The XL fit perfectly. I love the red color, it is bright & stylish, without being over the top looking. Matches my ember red sunglo Harley very well. Air flow is spectacular. The liner is a little difficult to get in, not too bad, but snaps in both wrists & also 2 spots in the inner back, so for me it's easier to grab a sweatshirt out of my sadllebag than to try and fit the liner in place. Not an inexpensive jacket, but a nice performer, feels heavy enough that it would actually function if I went down. I definitely recommend. August 5, 2015
Good Summer riding jacket Although this mesh jacket is sold for three seasons, I don't really think it's going to make it though the late fall and winter due to the rain. It does come with a nice removable quilted liner that snaps into place as advertised and would seemingly allow you to stretch it out into the cooler fall months, but not without the help of a rain suit. As I've only had it for 90 days, nearly daily riding in the brutal Houston heat, I'm only speculating on the above statements at this time. So far, with 2500 miles in the jacket, there are no major issues to complain about. There are however, a few minor issues that I'll bring up. Let me start with some praises - Good looking jacket overall with D3O armor sub $200!! The mesh allows so much air that on a cool day the jacket isn't even noticeable! The quilt lining seems well made and is removable (3 snaps)! The collar is low and doesn't chafe or rub. The rear of the jacket drops and provides appropriate coverage. I really only have a few complaints. The angle of the cut of the sleeves is not particularly attractive and the zippers on the sleeves don't stay zipped. The metal logo that has sharp pointed edges is hideous and cannot be removed, the thumb loops work fine but the Velcro straps from my gloves (rev'it strikers) has torn up both of the thumb loops pretty badly. For the money, I'm impressed with the features of the jacket. Sure, there are a few thing to nit pick, but I would recommend it to anyone who needs a good summer jacket. September 9, 2015
Great value, bright color, lots of ventillation Size is accurate to the sizing chart on the site, but by size it's small, I'm usually an XL, but the 2X fits great Jacket is pretty heavy, but provides protection in all of the right places. August 31, 2015

Michael J asked: I am 5'7" and i weigh about 130 lbs. should i get the small or medium? Does this jersey go a little large at all? Mar 30, 2015

Timothy E: I am 6'0 and about 215lbs. I went with an extra large because I wanted to wear a hoodie under for the colder months, but It actually fit me perfectly. Awesome jacket. So I'd go with a medium maybe. Remember if the size you select doesn't fit you can just send it back for a different size, revzilla is great with that. Good luck. Mar 30, 2015

Justin C: Hey man. I am about 5' 10" 170 and i wear a small. It is a bit snug on me but that is what I wanted. I would say this does run a little small as I have another Icon jacket (Anthem) that is a medium and fits perfectly. for the height and weight you described I would recommend a small for sure. Apr 2, 2015

Shawn M: It's hard for me to say. I'm 6'3" 225lbs. I wear a XXL. I like the jacket a lot for hot days. The best thing I can suggest is what I did. Find a store that sells this jacket. Find your size and then order it from RevZilla. That's what I did and I saved $130canadian. Good luck. Mar 31, 2015

Brandon W: Michael, I am 5'9" 155 and I ordered a small. It fits me fine everywhere I only wish it were longer in the waist. It stops right at my jeans so my shirts are always longer than my jacket which is kind of a pet peeve of mine but other than that It fits well. Mar 30, 2015

Damien E: I'm 6' 1" and 160lbs. It's a little big on me. It's fine length wise and in the arms, but it is a little 'wide" in the shoulders. If you get a med, You'll be swimming in this thing unless you have really broad shoulders. Mar 30, 2015

K Y: I bought this for my husband. It fits according to whatever size you are. He's usually a XXL but sometimes a XXXL. And he fits in a XXL perfectly. Idk if this helps, but I think it runs true size. Mar 30, 2015

angela r: I am 6'2 and 200 and the XL fits me perfectly. So the size is right, i.e. they don't run large. I would get the medium. Apr 17, 2015

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jeremy D: No there is not. The size runs pretty big. I'm 5'8 155lbs and a small is a comfortable fit. Not a snug fit. I like the jacket but recommend a back protector upgrade. If you have one already, it will likely fit in this jacket. Good luck Jul 10, 2015

A shopper asked: I'm deciding between the Anthem and Contra. I realize the Contra is a heavier, more full featured jacket, and the Anthem is more geared towards a hot weather solution, but I wonder about the cool weather riding with the Anthem... Whats the coldest temps you've worn your Anthem (with the liner) in, and how did it function? May 11, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Michael K: I live in SW Fl near Naples. I have worn this jacket w/o the liner in temps from 65-95 and it flows a lot of air-while moving. When we get the occasional cold snap down in the 40's to high 50's I put the liner in and it's fine for shorter trips, 45 mins or so, much longer and I think it may not be the best answer for you. I ride a Trophy SE so I have a good bit of protection also. Very pleased with quality of jacket and would purchase Icon products again. Hope this helps. May 11, 2014

Robert H: I'm in south / central florida so very hot summers but very cold winter spells. At bike week this year I used it with liner and neck cover when cold - then took liner out as it warmed up. For real cold I switch to a textile non vented jacket.

Lowest temp I've used? Maybe low 50's but I'm sure it could work lower. You'd need something around your neck tho - has absolutely no collar which is one reason it's so nice in summer

May 11, 2014

Mark W: When the temp drops below 60, I wear my leather jacket. This is a great 3 season jacket. It does have great air flow which you would expect from a mesh jacket. It is well made and has nice armor in thr shoulders and elbows. I also added a Stryker back armor plate as well. I love it for warm weather riding. May 15, 2014
Reply to Mark Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Fred J. B: This will not be a good jacket for cold wether riding. At night in cooler temperature such as 70 degrees fahrenheit it can almost feel like you have nothing on even with the liner in. Take this for a mesh shell with armor. Jun 27, 2014

A shopper asked: Really interested in the jacket. I have seen criticism of the protective usefulness of the jacket due to its loose cut. Anyone care to weigh in on that witb their own experience/ impressions? May 15, 2014

Fred J. B: Bought this jacket because I am chubby. The jacket is relaxed fit but not so much so that it is baggy. Buy your correct size and you should be fine. Jun 27, 2014

Matthew A: I noticed those comments as well. As a result I went with a Medium instead of a Large jacket. I'm usually in between those sizes anyway. But with the lose fit, I was sure going down to Medium would work. The fit is great. May 15, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Richard F: Yes - the orange jacket has reflective portions on the chest in the icon area near the collar bone also a strip across the chest and a strip across the sleeves near the elbow. On the back the area where the icon logo is reflective as is the thinner - lighter colored grey strips you see outlining the darker grey areas near the bottom sides of the jacket. Oct 19, 2014

zack f: I have the black one and there isn't any on it. I would assume it's the same for the others. Very good warm weather jacket though. The wind goes right through. And it has a liner for when it cools off. May 12, 2014

Jeremy D: The pads are in the jacket but you will want to upgrade the back protector. Although my icon is a small, I use my large back pad( upgraded) from my alpinestars. Fits right in the pocket. Versatile hot day, cool down night jacket. Mar 5, 2014
