The boots were OK - decent protection, lightweight, somewhat comfortable. And durable, so I thought... After 2.5 months of moderate usage, the left plastic strap just tore in half. I guess I'd better go with a Velcro strap - they loose some bite after a couple of years but at least they're not prone to catastrophic failures.

I bought these boots for multiple reasons. 1st, i ride my dad's Honda Magna. 2nd, rain season is beginning where i live and my running shoes don't cut it anymore for traction where i work. 3rd, if i'm not on the bike, i'm pushing a longboard around, i do downhill speed bombin. i figured, anti-slip compound plus grip tape equals i stay on board. These boots are wonderful and they have filled every need perfectly. they come one size smaller than what you order so order one size up than your usual

I received the accelerant boot a few weeks ago. I was not looking for a waterproof boot because I am extremely careful not to ride if it is likely to rain but liked these. Well needless to say I got caught in a rain storm. The boots worked great. They are comfortable and look good with a pair of jeans.
As recommended by others order these boots one size larger then normal.

I bought these boots about 9 months ago based on the reviews not only on this site but also other sites. The boot is indeed sized small as other reviewers state. so, I order mine one size bigger than normal and the fit was perfect. I wear these boots in commuting to work as well as on long rides and since I do not work in a formal environment, I wear them all day long and can attest to their comfort. They are also comfortable enough I can easily take short hikes when ridng around the countryside and find something of interest. The boots are not 100% waterproof, I recently rode from Frankfurt, Germany to Bratislava, Slovakia, 9 hours and 530 miles door to door, 7 of those hours riding it was pouring down rain, the first 5+ hours the boots kept me completely dry, after that I did get a little seepage into the boot, maybe after that amount of rain, the water finally made it's way past my riding pants inner liner and into my boots, but I did not find it to be a problem. The leakage was so slow and so little amount, my feet never did got "completely" wet nor did they get cold and the outside temp was around the lower to mid 60's.

I was looking for a decent waterproof boot after getting caught in a monsoon and finding out the hard way my old boots offered no water protection at all. I also didn't want to spend a fortune. These boots fit the bill. only have a couple issues with them. One they run small. I am normally a size 9.5. I could barely get my foot in that. I went to a 10 and they are still snug and debated going even to a 10.5. Two the top around the ankle was a little uncomfortable at first but seems to be getting better the more I ride with them so I am chalking that up to break in period. Finally, they don't appear to give me a good feel for my controls, but this is my first real waterproof boot so I have no other experience to compare it to. Overall though they look nice, feel pretty good, and they didn't break the bank.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I purchased this boot a few weeks ago and I was really impressed with how comfortable it was the first time I put it on. After reading some other reviews I ordered a half size up (9.5) and it fit like a dream--no break-in necessary. While researching boots I was torn between this one and the Icon Tarmac because they are almost the same boot (waterproof vs well ventilated). I decided that my feet are going to sweat anyway with either boot as I primarily ride in warmer weather (sometimes 100+ here in Utah). But to be honest, it's not any worse that wearing a work boot in warm weather either, so I'll take the waterproofing as a plus.
The other factor was that the Accelerant is clearly more stylish without the strap that goes over the top of the foot (the Tarmac looks like you're wearing old-people velcro shoes). I definitely like all of the armor/support around the ankles and heel as well. IMO, there's no point in skimping on the protection if you're just going to pay for another $130 "shoe". Overall, I really like this boot!

Answer:
Sorry I forgot to mention one little thing
The main issue with these in winter for me is that they are short so I get a draft up my pant leg no matter the pants I wear, so my shins would have winter air flowing directly over them
This was worse than having cold toes

Answer:
I ride year-round including winter trips to New England and Buffalo, NY (like living in Mammoth Lakes) and I do not recommend these for the colder weather. Granted everyone has a different tolerance to such things but even with appropriate socks (Smartwool hiking socks and liners) I had to get a different boot for winter riding.
I chose the Sidi Canyon and I have had no issues with them
