excellent visability the yellow adds clarity at night and the pinlock is excellent at keeping your visor clear October 20, 2014
Fantastic product These pinlock inserts are great. I bought mine so that I wouldn't have to carry an extra visor with me if I knew I was going to be out riding after it got dark. I can just remove the tinted insert and use my standard clear visor. The insert is much easier to carry around than an extra visor is. After getting it, I think I like the anti-fog feature even more than I do the size convenience feature. My only complaint is the price, I don't see why an insert costs as much as a whole visor does, but it's still worth the money. September 22, 2014
Works as expected. Great fit. The pin-lock works exactly as expected. My lens does not get fogged anymore, even when I am using my Sena Bluetooth in cold fall mornings. The fit to my factory-prepared HTC lens is perfect. September 15, 2014
Really no fog. Works perfectly. No distortion. No fog, high quality replacement. September 15, 2014
Great product and no more fogging or need for shades I bought this product so that I would no longer have to wear sunglasses with my helmet. I ended up going with the dark smoke and the tint is just right. The lens insert also stopped my face shield from fogging up. Installation was a breeze with the instructions provided. Light smoke pinklock lense insert is the best for all occasions I bought the light smoke insert thinking that it was too light in color and it turned out to be great for all occasions. I have been using it at dawn when going to work and when coming back home at around 4 PM. The lenses is clear enough so I can see fine details on the road like small rocks or cracks on the road when riding in wooded areas and it provides plenty of protection when I get on the highway on sunny days as long as I don't stair at the sun and keep my eyes on the road. I also used it at night when I forgot to remove it and I had no issues. The fogging function is excellent. I used it in cold mornings and hot afternoons and my field of view has been fog free. Pinlock lives up to the hype, installed on HJC CL-15 I'm a new rider who inherited an HJC CL-15 helmet with a fairly well-worn screen. I also live in the Pacific Northwest, where screen/visor fog is a constant plague, even on nice days. When I first heard about pinlock, I was discouraged because it seemed that it was available only on new, spendy helmets. Happily, the Revzilla search engine pointed me toward the HJ-09 screen, and the reviews and description made it clear that the screen DOES NOT INCLUDE the pinlock lens, which must be purchased separately. $50 for screen and lens is way better than a few hundred for a new helmet... The pinlock lens installed and fit well, and directions were clear. I've had zero fogging problems in the last couple of weeks riding with the pinlock lens, even on cool/foggy Seattle mornings. As far as shipping, etc, Revzilla shipped super-fast and responded quickly and professionally to my bone-head customer "I can't find part of the shipment" question (I eventually found the pinlock lens under a box flap). I'll continue to purchase this screen and pinlock lens combo until I get a new helmet.... At which time I'll buy some other screen/pinlock combo. August 20, 2014
Great product, works well! My first purchase was from another online retailer however when the product arrived it was not what I wanted due to poor description and wrong pictures from the other store, I ended up having to return it. This lead me to shop at Revzilla I was able to purchase exactly what I wanted, pictures exactly what I was looking for and selection to boot. I will shop again at Revzilla! August 5, 2014

Michael D: The advantage is the no fog feature. If you use a clear insert or a tinted insert or a clear or tinted shield - no fog is what you need. I have used the Pinlock insert for two years and ride in temps. down to 10 degrees F and it works! Oct 15, 2013

Robert A: Pin lock inserts do a great job of keeping the visor from fogging up. In daylight I personally like the dark smoke. At night I think amber is too darkening to see well. I use the clear at night and in bad weather. Oct 13, 2013

A shopper asked: Probably a stupid question but will this fit an hjc is-17 pinlock shield? May 21, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Bruce B: After a little web research, it looks like you should use the "Max Vision" Pinlock lens insert for the HJC IS-17 that is Pinlock ready.

The HJ-09 Pinlock insert is specifically sized for other HJC helmet models...

A shopper asked: Has anyone tried using a tinted shield with a tinted pinlock lens insert? Is it too dark? Apr 20, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Ahmad S: Yes it is. I live in Cairo, Egypt, and here it gets pretty hot and sunny. Either or does the job here, and both together will render the vision too dark. May 25, 2014

A shopper asked: Does this product include Pinlock pins so that the lens can be installed by drilling holes in HJ-09 shields that are not Pinlock ready? Aug 15, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The HJC HJ-09 Pinlock Lens is the lens only, it does not come with pins. The Pins are attached to the face shield. We would not recommend drilling holes your shield (not at all. Not even a little bit) as it will compromise the integrity of the product. Aug 16, 2012
