Seems to be a good Helmet
I ordered a XXL even though the sizing chart stated I should be in a XL (61mm). I'm glad I did. It just fits. I really like the modular part of the helmet. I have not riden with it. I bought it just for rain. We will see how it works for the rain.

CL Max 2 is excellent value for the money
After researching and surfing online, I finally decided to order. Ordered from Revzilla on Wednesday, and received my CL Max 2 Wednesday morning. Awesome feel and fit. If your head measures more than 61cm order the 5X. This is the only decent helmet that I could find to fit my head. Noise not really a factor when you are coming from half helmets. I wear ear plugs anyway. I will install my Sena Communications system as soon as possible. I bought white for visibility.

Nice helmet
Very pleased with the purchase, I ordered one size larger for me..that is normal. Quiet, easy to change the shield and great for someone that wears glasses.

Fit & comfort
I have a round head and with the Sena bluetooth headset & intercom my helmet fit was tight and very uncomfortable. I tried this helmet on and the fit was great and spacious for the Sena gear. This is my first chin bar release helmet and I love the design already. Great name brand that I hope to get many years of service out of.

For big heads
I measure out to a XL or a 2XL by the tape measure. I had to return 2 other helmets and Revzilla was fantastic about it. I finally had to get the 5XL and had to take out the cheek pads and open them up and trim the padding in half and put together again. Then it fit without crushing my jaw. I guess the shape of my head was the problem. The vents don't seem to do much for cooling and the helmet is NOISY. This is my first modular and always had 3/4 before this so maybe I'm not used to it. Visibility is great also.. If you need a decent helmet for a big head you can do worse than this one.

Kept me alive
I am a big boy, 6'5 550lbs, so as you can imagine finding any gear to fit me is a pain in the hind quarter! When I went in search of a helmet the HJC CL-Max2 was basically my only choice as it is one of the only helmets for sale in size 5XL.
I will be honest I think this helmet is lacking in features, it is noisy, and the airflow is severely lacking, HOWEVER it does it's job and keeps your melon safe and sound. I had a get off in July and my HJC kept me safe and sound through a 100 foot skid and multiple bounces off the pavement face first! (see attached pics).
For the money I think this helmet is adequate provided you buy it on sale....I wouldn't pay the $189 price tags I have seen at some dealerships, but for the price here on Revzilla it is worth it, especially if you are in need of a 4XL or 5XL helmet.
Special note to any and all Harley riders.....Harley sells a version of this helmet as well and they charge $40 more for their version. The ONLY difference is that they tag it with an HD symbol on the front and the back, other than that it is the same helmet.....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEIR VERSION!!! You can buy the HJC here, peel off the HJC stickers (they come off real easy), then buy some HD stickers and put them on your self and save $40!
I would also strongly recommend buying a smoke or mirrored shield, please not though the mirrored shield scratches REAL easy!!!
Revzilla shipped my helmet in record time, have no reservations about ordering from these guys as they are the bomb!

If you have an overly large head, you could do worse!
After trying to cram a 2x helmet over my head and deciding that I didn't want to look like a cartoon character with my eyes bugging out, I started to look away from local vendors and online.
There are frankly not many choices in the greater-than-2x category, But I would say this model is definitely worth consideration.
I would say that the chin bar may not be as solid of a barrier in a collision as one would like, and the vents are very small and so will likely not be felt at less than highway speeds, however, for a price that is very reasonable I'd say that the small complaints are offset by the overall value.
