A good tire in a field of very few choices
I have a 1999 Magna, with the same tire furnished as original equipment. As far as I know, there is only one other manufacturer who makes this size, so choice is limited. The OEM got about 10,000 miles before the center tread was down to plain rubber. I decided to stick with Dunlop, rather than change and Revzilla had the best price I could find. Delivery was a day or two to northern NJ. Great service.

Dunlop K555 Front in 1990 Honda PC800
Revzilla is great!! Ordered 3 tires from Revzilla 2:30 PM one day, they were @ my front door by 2:30 the following day. You just cant beat that!
On to the tires: (I preface this by saying that I only purchased a front tire; not a set for this bike) Owning a 25 year old PC800 doesn't offer lots of tire choices. Only Dunlop and Metzler offer match sets. I have always gone with the Dancing Dunlops. (Google it) Like the bike, they're technology is 25 years old but again, like the bike, they're incredibly reliable and I have always been supremely confident in them. However, on this last purchase something was different. The tire seemed lighter, thinner, less robust. My imagination? Maybe. The outside looked identical to what I have been buying forever but the inside was different. It wasn't "finished" like I was used to seeing. It was (is) crude. You couldn't go with balance beads with this tire. Any previous Dunlops were almost machined looking inside. These looked like bicycle tires inside. The difference? Now they are made in Indonesia rather than Japan. There IS a difference no matter what they tell you.
Welp, now the tire is mounted and I admit that so far, it goes round and round like it oughta. However, had I previously known all of this, I would have gone for a full set of the Metzlers. (But gee... aren't some of them now made in Brazil?)

I put these Dunlap's on my 2008 Kymco Venox. They are a great improvement over the worn out originals. These tires have super grip and feel much better in turns. I've had to slow down in turns because my pegs were rubbing against the ground with these new tires. I feel much safer with these tires.

Good go-factory recommendation...dated design
I put this on due to the recommendation of my owners manual. It does what it's supposed to bu t I think the rear tire wear rate and compounds could be updated. Smooth but lackluster feel.

Robert T: There is a limited selection of tires in this size, and this is the original equipment tire which has performed satisfactorily for 10,000 miles.May 20, 2015

Gene J: I purchased this tire because nothing else fits my old Honda PC800. I don't really care for the "Dancin' Dunlops" with their unbroken center groove that goes right around the entire circumference but Metzlers are mega expensive and I think that they are a harder compound. Never really tried them. I think that this bike is stubborn enough to outlive me so who knows? Perhaps when I need to put a pair on together, I'll try the Metzlers. But I digress. . . .Feb 2, 2015
