Serves it's purpose but could use improvements I installed this alarm on my dowco cover. Slips right into one of the interior pockets and hooks on to any part of your bike. I usually hook it to one of the spokes on my rear wheel. If anybody tries to remove the cover the alarm sounds. Pretty straight forward. The alarm is loud at 130db. The lanyard and hook/clasp could be better. Id like to see a metal hook and maybe some sort of wire lanyard. It doesnt make your bike theft proof if your someone who has to leave it outside like me, but any step added to deter thieves is worth it too me. April 29, 2013

Worth $20 for the extra security. Very loud!! I have my Gorilla Alarm , Disc lock, and bike cover with this alarm attached. Its a back up for the back up and when one fails to wake me up, hopefully the next alarm will and I can lock & load. at 130DB this thing leaves your ears ringing. pretty simple and definetly worth $20. you dont need a dowco bike cover to use it. I have it attached to my bike and a non dowco bike cover. I like it. and i live in a city where bikes are stolen frequently, plus i have a shiny R1 that theives just love September 11, 2012
good alarm I bought this as an additionnal security measure. It was inexpensive to purchase and if someone break my bike cover lock, I know the alarm will be my next line of defense. If the thief manage to get pass that alram, then he will be face with an Abus wheel lock and a big fat chain from Abus also. Since I live in the city, I think anything you can do to protect your bike is worth it. April 23, 2012
