super loud:D great little device, You just have to think where on your motorcycle is the best place to booby trap:} August 3, 2015
Extra Layer I like using this for when I need to leave home with my bike parked for more than a night or two. I'm more concerned about frat boys and vandalism than actual theft, so this is a nice deterrent. The only trick is remembering its armed before pulling the cover off in the morning =P July 27, 2015
Basic cover alarm A nice basic alarm. It is disturbingly loud. It is fairly discreet as well. I live in the city and park my bike on the curb - when I am messing with the cover I can attach or disconnect the clip from my brake line in a smooth motion. I have no doubt I'd be able to hear it anywhere in my house. If I am not home and it goes off, my awesome neighbors next door will be on the phone with the cops in about five seconds. I am also considering installing it under the seat somewhere, running the alarm clip to a spoke (or something else that would have to move if the bike got messed with), and wiring up another hidden switch. That way I could use it without the cover, like if I park it somewhere in town for the day. It requires a 9-volt battery (not included). It isn't the most beautiful object in the world, but who cares, it lives in a pocket on the inside of your cover. Just a nice little extra peace of mind. April 13, 2015
Works Great I really liked how easy this product was to install. Instructions could use a little help to make things a bit more clear. I was surprised at how loud this alarm was when I performed my test in the garage. I think this coupled with the locking cover make a great pair. Very happy with this product. October 28, 2014
Added Protection If you have the Dowco cover or any cover for that matter that will lend itself to this alarm do yourself a solid and get it. It is pretty loud and once again another layer of protection that will help to keep your bike where you parked it. I have no doubts that this alarm is loud enough to let you know if someone has their hands where they don’t belong. October 15, 2014
its loud, like "whaaaaaaaaaaaat" loud you wanna make your would be thieves deaf? well this do something. i pulled it out on the first day and i regret it. so loud October 3, 2014
LOUD! It went off while I was trying to figure out how to work it and it's extremely loud and that's a good thing February 26, 2014
Affordable alarm that works! I've used this cover alarm for a few months and it's working well. On the inner/lower area of my rain cover for my bike, I have a pouch to place this alarm in. Just hook the provided lanyard/hook onto a part of your bike. As someone tries to lift the rain cover, it pulls the lanyard and alarm pin out, which activates the impressive alarm! This definitely turns heads when this thing goes off! I might buy another one for my patio sliding door to my home. For around $25, this alarm is worth it's weight in gold. Even if I do ever need to replace it, it's affordable enough to buy another one without regret. January 20, 2014

John M: I ordered this because I don't have a garage and used it to rig up as an alarm to work with my Cycle Shell. Let me tell you, THIS THING IS LOUD!! I use two Xena disc lock alarms as well and they don't come close to this sound. If someone tampers with my bike at night this thing will wake up the neighborhood I mean it! May 12, 2014

Show your insurance company proof of security measures you've taken and you may even get a discount, that over time will pay for products like these. Don't be a statistic. Oct 20, 2013
Oliver D asked: Is this something I could use everyday? Meaning is it for street use or more for storage. Just want to make sure there is a way to NOT trip it each morning... Also, if it does go off - how long does it last for and how do you disarm it? May 8, 2014

Sunny Hot B: Yes, you could use this alarm everyday for "street use" and for storage (Long life battery), handy to alert you when someone has lifted the cover off the bike. This mini pocket size device was included with my Dowco cover and will work with any cover. It is easy to conceal due to it's small size. It's hard to trip it unless you forgot where you placed it, which goes on the inside on the bike or cover if it has a pocket.

When it goes off, last's until you switch it off by the on/off switch or until the battery runs out. Hope this helps otherwise, do a Google search.

Jonathan P: I use it it everyday, but for storage. I wouldnt take it out when I ride. It goes off when the pin is pulled out, and keeps ringing this loud, annoying, ear bleeding yelp until you put the pin back in. So you'd have to rig it to your cover. May 8, 2014
