well made light weight I bought a size large to cover my BMW RT while in the garage. It fits very well, is pretty easy to use and seems to be well made. November 17, 2014
Simple, easy to use Simple, lightweight, easy to use. Folds into itself to zip up as a neat package, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do this quickly. I fold it on my own as tightly as possible and tie the strap around it. Fits in a smaller backpack. October 28, 2014
Perfect fit, nice light weight I ordered the size M for my Honda cbr500r and it fits perfectly. It's easy to install and yet it doesn't leave any slack areas to puddle rain. It completely covers the front wheel, the two "ears" are exactly the width of the stock mirrors in the riding position, and it covers about halfway down on the rear tire. It doesn't touch the ground anywhere. NIce and light weight but well-constructed and well-finished. I've used it several times but have not tried it in the rain (yet). Excellent product. October 27, 2014
this is a really good looking cover I am using it to cover a 2013 Honda Gold Wing that is in my Garage...I will also use this light weight cover on the road to keep the sun off and maybe light rain or mist...nice looking cover September 22, 2014
Good cover to use for under the carport I bought this to use on my wife's Honda Rebel. It's a great fit and keeps everything dry and clean. If she parked the bike in the open I probably would have gotten the heavier version. We've been using it all summer and it isn't showing any wear. September 1, 2014
This produce is small and lightweight I purchased this as a rain cover for when traveling, and it had to be small and compact. I bought a small compression sack, which compressed it down to the size of a softball. I've only used it twice, but so far it has certainly met my expectations, and it looks clean and well made. At first, it was hard to determine which way was forward, but then I saw a sewn in label that indicated "Front", so now it only take me 30 seconds to install the cover once I find the label. This fit my BMW F800GSA with room to spare, and it fits my FJR as well. August 18, 2014
works, if you don't care about water coming through Bought last year, finally used it this year, it is not waterproof and it doesn't claim to be but even out overnight with heavy dew and wherever the cover makes contact with the bike water comes through significantly. I also noticed that the shell's water-resistant layer in the area of the stuff pouch is peeling . Otherwise it feels durable. So it depends on why you want this--as a cover, it's a good one and as a water repeller it's so-so. Bought the adventure size but it's not big enough for my R1200GS with tail and side bags on. August 18, 2014
Great cover for the price Dowco continues to impress me with the quality of their motorcycle covers, I have owned Dowco covers before which influenced my decision to buy a second cover for my other motorcycle and it has easy securing straps and protects the bike from the weather. August 4, 2014

A shopper asked: I ride an F800GS with panniers and a top box. Would you recommend the AT or the large? Which one is actually bigger? Thanks for you help! Aug 19, 2013

Robert S: I purchased a medium Dowco Ultralite Cover that I use on a bike smaller than your F800GS. Even the medium size cover is quite roomy. Previously I owned a R100GS with Aluminum Panniers so I have some familiarity with your situation. My sense based on the size of the medium cover that with the top box, panniers and windscreen on your bike that the large size would be more than ample....possibly even the medium honestly. Hope this helps. Aug 20, 2013

A s: Alas, I have the XL - which is way bigger than you need for an F800GS. If your exhaust pipes are exposed below the engine, where the strap goes, be careful that you don't melt the strap on the hot exhaust pipes! Aug 25, 2013

Andrea C: I drive a G650GS. Size-wise it should be same as F800GS. I have top box but no panniers. The Large size fits just right. A size bigger might be needed since you have panniers.

kyong c asked: I have F800GS and would like to know what size is recommended for this bike? Apr 29, 2014

Zack C: Kyong C: I have a K100RS, which is probably a little smaller in size to your F800GS, and the Dowco Ultralite Cover in Medium fits it perfectly. I believe the main difference in your bike may be the height of the windshield, which may require the Large size. Apr 29, 2014

Wayne B: You could get a medium, but to be sure a large is always the best bet. Apr 30, 2014

Sarah W: I've got a F650GS and the Dowco Ultralite Pulse fits perfectly. That includes sidecases, packed duffle on back, hand guards, and my redneck highway pegs (a 2x2 whose length = width of bike+sidecases). Plenty of room and the strap keeps it well secured with all that stuff removed. Apr 29, 2014

A shopper asked: I have a 2013 Ducati Hypermotard. I store it in the garage so don't need the all weather one. I'm interested in the dowco ultralite plus cover. Can you give me your opinion on what size I should get for my hyper??? Sep 27, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Joseph F: I bought it as a gift. It's used on a Harley Sportster that is stored indoors. It's a very nice cover. I'm don't know what size your Hyper is so I'm not sure what size to recommend. It is a nice cover. Sep 27, 2013

Andrea C: I have a BMW G650GS. I think size-wise should be relatively similar to the Hypermotard. I am happy with cover size L Sep 29, 2013

Bruce B asked: Since my 2013 BMW R1200 GSA is garaged I'm looking for a waterproof, not water resistant travel cover that packs down small and fits well. My question after reading a review from someone who ordered the AT - Adventure Touring size who stated it would be better if it came down farther, especially in the rear. Is there a different size offered that would accomplish that? I noticed you only offers sizing to XL, yet the manufacturer makes this cover up to a XXXL in their sizing chart. Apr 21, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Chuck F: I have this cover for my 2014 GSW (not GSA). I find that it fits pretty much as the picture shows. With my bags installed the cover doesn't come down as low on the tires but still offers good coverage. The material is pretty thin but that's the trade off for a cover that will pack small which this does. I can't speak to how water proof the cover is since I haven't had it rain yet with the cover installed. It seems like it would be fine in a shower, but hours long hard rain will probably challenge its water resistance. I also have the heavy duty version of the Dowco cover that I use at home which IS waterproof but doesn't pack down very well for touring. Hope this helps. Apr 26, 2014

Andrea C: I bought size L for my BMW G600GS. And yes it does not go down to the ground but it stops a little lower than mid-wheel height. For me that is fine as the only bit exposed is the lower part of the rim (let's say a quarter of it).
You should definitely go with a larger size for your R1200.

Richard D: Sorry, I don't have sufficient experience with the cover to give you worthwhile opinion. I store my bike in the garage. However, based on appearance and fit, it looks like it would do a good job. Doesn't really matter if the bottoms of the tires get wet. Apr 26, 2014
